Truth is: Not all people in that cup are as skilled as the people you mentioned. But we should be grateful that there was a turnout, and that there could be more just like that.

Imagine if there was a big turnout with people whom you may not think are at the same caliber as older players, and a person could say ''This turnout is bad because they lack skill''. Okay, so that could be true but it could also be discouraging.

Here's another example but not much related to turnout but truth: At the school yard you are going to play football with your class mates. You and Person B are standing in front of the class, and each of you get to decide whom you want to be in your team. Obviously anyone who are in this position who chooses would choose the best player available, and this would leave the worst player at the end. This is also truth.

But as I am writing this I am starting to understand your perspective . I always labelled ''turnout'' with X number of people that joined rather than skill. You to my understanding, simply meant ''This is a great turnout among SKILLED people''.
