1st of all we would like to thank everyone for participating in the 2nd Season of dS Tours v3, again some great map records have been set!

With 1 week left to go until Season 2 Playoffs begin, the top 4 players are considerably close to each other in points:

Hurz - 81
spleen17 - 73
MarianRV - 65
Mega`Adnan - 63

While there haven't been any major rule changes there has been a few misunderstandings which we hope to make clear now:

Unmarked contact:

In an map where you must throw/land directly on the target without any unmarked contact from any other part of the map, it is only a void shot if it causes the worm to change course, if you "skiff" a part of the map before landing(when the drill seems to touch land very lightly without altering the course) then it's fine.

Rethrows:

No one is allowed a rethrow if they accidentally press space at the wrong time, if they lag, if they drilled at the start by mistake, or any other reason. The only exception to this rule is if the player had an emergency and missed their turn completely, or if they suddenly disappeared in the middle of their turn, for example, if they started to bounce against wall then suddenly just hung there immobile. Regardless of opponents letting you throw again, if caught your points will be deducted.

Rebounds:

For maps such as Wings of Beauty the rebound is usually the lesser of 2 scores if you bounce off 1 part straight into the water, however sometimes it's possible for example, to bounce inside "10" hitting both walls on the inside then falling back out, in situations like this you will receive the points for the area you touched.

Swooshes:

Quote from: Komito on May 15, 2015, 06:23 PM
As for what counts as a swoosh, you can go as slow or fast as you like however I feel it should be one continous movement, for example XanKriegors turn where he contracted/extended/contracted the rope shorter/longer/shorter before releasing drill shouldn't count because I don't see it as 1 smoothly executed move, I will update the map rules for this if other dS members agree.

As for the point of release to determine a swoosh it has to be after the rope starts to point in the direction you are going, for example if you fire the rope when pointing left, it shoots left, when pointing right it shoots right, you can easily determine this by watching a replay frame by frame and looking at the structure of the rope, if you were to magnify an image it would look like an upside down staircase when pointing either direction, if the rope is completely vertical then it looks like a perfect straight line which would also be void in my opinion, it has to be at least 1 part or more to the direction you are travelling.

Tiebreakers:

Quote from: dST v3 S2 RulesThe map used for the tiebreaker map cannot be one that has already been used.

Good luck to those who reach S2 Playoffs!

We would appreciate any praise, criticism, and suggestions that would help us improve dS Tours even further, we will take into consideration all comments and possibly implement any ideas if we feel it would improve dS Tours for Season 3.

Thanks!

TUS Discussion / Map ratings
June 01, 2015, 12:09 PM
I think the map ratings/informtation could have a few extra details, instead of having to vote for all 3 or nothing at all be able to choose only 1 or 2 because I don't play some maps cuz I don't know the scheme but I would like to vote on the creativity.

Also a few extra things to vote on such as "Visual" or "Style" relating to how it looks, because for me creativity is more for being unique, and maybe also an option like playability relating to how often you would play it.

I think these extra options could help authors know what maps they are making people like most helping them to find their unique style.

http://warthunder.com/en - Use this link to register and download the game.

My mate introduced me to this game last week and I am completely hooked!

There are 2 types of gameplay, Tanks and Planes, I absolutely love the Planes!

The air combat is some of the best and most intense there is, it forces you to learn and use basic flight maneuvers and aerial tactics. Learning everything is difficult but also satisfying, I have so much to learn :D

It's free to play and unlike many other f2p games you don't have to spend tons of money to win, i've won a few games already and only played it for about 10 hours.

You can get the good stuff the old fashioned way with time and practise, there are however extras and exclusives you can get if you use real money.

Planes:

Tanks:

I suggest subscribing to PhlyDaily and BaronVonGamez on YouTube if you like this game, they are very experienced and especially Baron knows so much about history of planes and parts etc.

After about a month there wasn't very many games played 2v2 so we've decided to allow 1v1 also, maybe it helps :)

Just report in the same way as 2v2.

Example:

Just looking through an old hard drive I thought I had lost, found about 3800 games dated between 2005-2008 if anyone wants me to look for some games with them let me know.

I can't find that thread about the old games.

M3ntal introduced me to an anime Golf game about 9 years ago called Albatross18 which I was hooked on, but the company at the time went down and with it my stats...

Some years ago another company bought it and renamed it PangYa.

About:

PangYa is a free to play online golf game that simulates the sport of golf in an anime-inspired design with interesting landscapes from dry deserts to snowy wonderlands!

Website and where to download - http://pangya.gamerage.com/default.aspx

Characters:

You select your own character to start with(you can have more later), you improve your characters stats by getting better equipment/clothes:

Pangya bar:

^^ This is the bar you click on to take your shots, it's a 3 click system, 1st click starts it, 2nd click determines power, 3rd click determines accuracy, you want to the 3rd click to land in the little white part at the start ;)

Items:

The game has a cool item system where you use different items to have different effects on your game such as extra distance, super curve shot, super spin, etc.

Special shots:

One of the most interesting features of the game are the special shots, that can be used to reach places you wouldn't reach with a normal shot, and of course those awesome Hole In Ones! Here is a youtube video showing some of the special shots:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XO9lTCFjSdk

Game currency:

There are 2 types of currency in PangYa, one called "Pang" and the other called "Points", pang being the games main currency and earned in a variety of simple ways, points being the currency you must buy with real cash to obtain certain items.

Speaking as a gamer who sincerely hates "Pay 2 Play" games, I am ok with this, i've even spent real money on a few occasions because the game is so good and being free I thought it couldn't hurt to purchase some stuff I think is cool anyway seeing as it's a game i've played online for like 9 years now and I feel they do deserve some sort of payment for such a great game, however you don't need to use real money to become good, you can still do all the fancy shots and beat good players if you get your stats up and practise with what's available.

Soundtrack:

Personally speaking this is one of my favourite soundtracks for gaming ever, each course has it's own unique relaxing song that reflects the nature of that place, which I find myself whistling, humming and beatboxing along to pretty much everytime.

My personal thoughts:

If you enjoy golf games and anime/fantasy, then you should enjoy this!

If you do fancy giving it a try, I recommend playing through the tutorials as soon as you get online before playing any real matches.

This is a game I want to personally promote as it's gave me years of fun and hopeully some WA players can come play with me :)

Welcome to dS Tours v3 S2

dS Tours(dST for short) is a series of competitive Darts matches played with multiple players on multiple maps.

Points are awarded from 1st place to last place and then added to the official dS Tours Ladder Standings.

This is how you play:

  • Give your Tour its own name! Be creative, it can be silly, or serious, you decide!
  • Each Tour must have at least 3 players, up to 6 players can participate.
  • You must use the Darts scheme available here.
  • You can use any of the Darts maps available here.
  • You can now play dS Team Tours(dSTT) - 2v2 / 2v2v2 / 3v3.
  • Give your Team its own name!
  • All Team Tours will be played with 4 maps.
  • For 2v2 / 3v3 Team Tours - Both teams agree on 1st map, then winner picks 2nd map, then other team picks 3rd and so on until the Tour is finished.
  • For 2v2v2 Team Tours - All teams agree on 1st map, winner picks 2nd map, 2nd place of 1st map picks 3rd map, 3rd place of 1st map picks 4th map.
  • If 3 players play, 6 maps must be played, each player picking 2 maps each.
  • If 4 players play, 4 maps must be played, each player picking 1 map each.
  • If 5 players play, 4 maps must be played, 4 lowest ranking players in Ladder picking 1 map each.
  • If 6 players play, 3 maps must be played, 3 lowest ranking players in Ladder picking 1 map each.
  • Using the dS Map Picker for dS Tours is optional, unless everyone agrees to use it, it cannot be used.
  • Once an individual picks a map, they may not use this map again for their next 2 tours, other players may however pick that map if they wish.
  • The match point system differs depending on how many players are participating.
  • The ladder point system also differs depending on how many players participates in a Tour.
  • All point systems are explained later in this thread.
  • If you throw 3 bullseyes in a row you get 1 point added to your ladder standings, this is valid everytime.
  • If you play a Perfect Tour by winning all maps and getting full Tour points, you get 2 points added to your ladder standings.
  • If you throw a perfect game(8 bullseyes), you get 5 points added to your ladder standings, this is possible for every match you play.
  • In any individual round where 1st place is tied, the sudden death rule must be followed until there is a clear winner for that round.
  • A tie for overall 1st place after the last game, all tied players must play a randomly selected map using the dS Map Picker and 1st/2nd/3rd/etc is decided over a single game with 3 worms per player.
  • The map used for the tiebreaker map cannot be one that has already been used.
  • In the even more unusual event of a tie during the tiebreaker match, the players must continue with sudden death rules.
  • The scorekeeper will post the results here, please report in the same order as each match was played.
  • Each dS Tour completed and reported will be added to the official dS Tours Ladder Standings.
  • dS Tours V3 introduces seasons, each season lasts 8 weeks, with a limit of 32 Tours per player.
  • You must treat other players with respect, no mocking other players.
  • You are not allowed to say to a player to fail their turn or hope they miss 3xBull or lose etc.

dS Tours Playoffs:

  • Playoffs will be played with the top 4 ranked players at the end of each Season.
  • 1st Vs 4th / 2nd Vs 3rd / winner Vs winner / loser Vs loser.
  • All games will be played Best of 5.
  • Players will use dS Map Picker for the 1st map.
  • The winner of the 1st map picks the 2nd map, the other player picking the 3rd map, continue taking turns picking until there is a winner.

Tech Support / Help with new PC for WA.
April 16, 2015, 01:03 PM
Looking for help in purchasing a new PC specifically for WA, one that doesn't lag, the only thing I want installed on it is WA and WA related stuff.

My budget is £400, I don't need a super computer so the less money I use the better, I only need it for WA.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
