Hi, is there any possibility of making the history of the Clan & Community instant messenger/shoutbox much longer? Or is there a setting already we don't know about?

In our dS shoutbox we are all online having big conversations with links etc and sometimes messages disappear too quick.

Welcome to my guide on how to be a Scorekeeper for dS Tours !


1st of all, you will need a notepad and a calculator ! (And patience to read/understand all of this lol)


How do you score a dS Tour?

• Each player participating in the Tour will keep track of their own score in individual games with the "/me" function in the chat menu.
• The Scorekeeper will write down the final score of each player at the end of each game.
• It really helps the Scorekeeper when players throw their last worm if they add "FS" for "Final Score" to their score, for example "/me 69 FS".
• The Scorekeeper will add up the final scores for each player, each map, to get their Overall Score, and we have a winner !

It is VERY IMPORTANT to realise when hosting/scorekeeping dS Tours that different Darts maps have different point systems, some of which range from 1-2-3-4-5 to 100-150-200-250-350.


For example, if we were to pick any 5 maps at random, we could end up with the following maps/point systems:

(Bank it!) - 1/2/3/4/5
(Good Vs Evil) - 1/2/3/4/5
(Blueman) - 6/3/9/3/10/20/10/5/15/5/10
(Graffiti) - 7/10/15/20
(Twilight Twin) - 100/150/200/250/350

Let's say for example there were 3 players in the above Tour, Player A wins the 1st 4 maps with a top score of 24/27/54/95, Player B wins the 5th map with a score of 1000, while the other 2 only got 100/200, it isn't fair Player A plays better  on average throughout a whole Tour, and then loses because of 1 map with a very high point system.

To tackle this problem and balance out the point system so we can use any map we want to and keep it all fair, we invented Multipliers & Dividers !


Multipliers: To balance out scoring for maps you can use "x2" "x3" "x5" "x10" "x20" "x25" "x50" or "x100" points - Just add up each worm as normal, at the end of the round use the multiplier on your final score, adding "x2" "x3" "x5" "x10"  "x20" "x25" "x50" or  "x100" to the map name.

Dividers: To balance out scoring for maps you can use "1/2" "1/3" "1/5" "1/10" "1/20" "1/25" "1/50" or "1/100" points - Just add up each worm as normal, at the end of the round use the divider on your final score, adding "1/2" "1/3" "1/5" "1/10"  "1/20" "1/25" "1/50" or "1/100" to the map name.


The 1st map can generally be whatever you want the points to be using the Multipliers & Dividers, but i've found that a final score between 100-500 for the 1st game creates the best chances for comebacks and a balanced point system, this can lead to a more exciting/tense Tour, sometimes even with 1st place leading by 150+ after the 1st game.

For many of the 1st dSTs played, I was a bit weird with scoring, but now I have a pretty solid pattern, I try to make sure the top score of each individual game is between 200-500, I NEVER go above 500, that is my limit.

I have a threshold of +125 / -125 points from the 1st maps top score, this means if the top score on the 1st map is 200, I will not let the top score of any other map go above 325 or below 75.

I pick the Multiplier or Divider that is closest to the threshold.



For example, below is a dS Tour with 5 maps, the 1st maps top score is 260, no other maps top score will exceed 385 points, or fall below 135, this means the top scoring player in the 1st map sets the standard for the rest of the Tour, and it's simply tough luck if other players can't keep up(practise makes perfect!), but that does not mean someone can't make a great comeback and win !


Player A - 260/210/140/230/250 = 1090
Player B - 50/130/250/270/300 = 1000
Player C - 90/140/320/320/230 = 1100


1st map high score = 260
High score + threshold = 385
High score - threshold = 135


The point I am trying to make should be obvious in the above example, look at the scores for the 1st 2 games, Player A is 240 points ahead of 2nd place after the 1st 2 games, yet Player C still wins ! Player B still more than likely had a tense/enjoyable time fighting back ! It has happened many times already in dS Tours !

Alot of people might think after the 1st game to keep the points low so Player A doesn't get further ahead, they are wrong ! If you do this then the others don't have a good chance to fight back !

That pretty much sums up all there is to know about being a Scorekeeper for dS Tours, I am not saying this is the best way to do it, it's just the fairest way i've found so far, so I may edit this in future.

After discussions with other dS members we have decided to start a fresh ladder for dS Tours, the main reasons for this decision are as follows:

• Some players are able to play many more games than other players, thus not giving them a fair chance to compete because they have other commitments.
• A number of players have mentioned they feel dSTs take too long with 5 maps & up to 6 players, so they don't play as much.
• Some players don't like spending 60+ minutes only to win 0 points for coming 4th/5th/6th place in a dST.
• The leading players in the dST Ladder had a major headstart.

However the conditions of this fresh ladder have not been confirmed yet, you can help decide how it works !

We are creating 4 polls in the "dS Tours !" forums section so we can figure out what conditions best fit the players availability to play, these will be as followed:

• Maximum players in a dST.
• Number of maps played per dST.
• Weekly limit of dSTs played per player.
• Ladder point system.

The polls will run until Friday 31st of May 2013, and the new Ladder will start Saturday 1st of June 2013, this means the current Ladder will finish at midnight GMT on Friday 31st of May, so you will still have a chance to climb as high as you can before we close it and put the final rankings into the dS Hall of Fame.

This a great scheme worthy of Tournaments/Cups/Singles Leagues/Clanner Leagues...


These are the reasons why:


It's JUST AS COMPETITIVE as the top WA schemes...

It's EASY to learn but HARD to master...

Each game is very fast like TTRR, even faster we think... Each 1v1, including teleporting all 8 worms each, only takes about 5-6 minutes, 7 or 8 minutes if it's a REALLY REALLY big map and people are being slow...

It has less scheme flaws than almost all schemes possible on WA (you can't abuse the scheme to get advantage, only practise can make you better, you can't cheat without being obvious and getting caught). I have never actually ever seen a scheme with less "scheme flaws" than this.

The ONLY thing that could be improved on is the fact it takes 2-3 minutes to teleport all the worms at the beginning, I think with WA 4.0 there will be autoplacement, and this will make things even faster !

We think this scheme should at the very least be in the Free League for TuS.

+ We are open to suggestions to improve it, if they are good enough of course !




There are only a few reasons we can think of why people don't give this scheme a chance:



1. They really don't want to even try and learn a new scheme.

2. The rules vary slightly with alot of maps, and people can't understand them, or don't want to understand them.

3. Peja says "it's just the same thing over and over" - But I told him, BnG/TTRR/Roper/Bungee Race are all equally as "repetitive" but they all have masses of followers, so why doesn't Darts?

4. Is it because the guy trying to advertise this scheme is me, Komito, the person some people love to hate?




dS hosts more Darts Tournaments/Tours/General events to compete than almost any other scheme, if more people played, we would do Challenges every week as well, and we would have a cup 4/6 Times a years !


People who get involved in this scheme and give it a chance will NOT be dissapointed, we keep making new maps, we keep hosting things to keep people entertained and have fun, we will work VERY HARD to make you enjoy this scheme !!!


There will be prizes(Trophies or Custom made T-Shirts, or something else), I haven't advertised this yet because I haven't decided yet as I am on a budget these days, would that interest anyone?

I hope Random00 reads this, or anyone who knows:

How do you do the screenshot and rehost with the map all destroyed? This laptop is seriously pissing me off the USB ports keep jumping and skipping and it's making me miss alot of shots with pwoer, or the USB's just fail completely and stop responding until I restart, I can't play any other scheme other than BnG, and this is twice we've had a great advantage and had to rehost and lost all the effort of opening their hides.

Does anyone either know why my laptop is doing this? My only solution is to reinstall windows but I can't do that until I save some data from this hard drive...  It'd be nice if I could just fix the problem.

I was wondering, it's almost 14 years straight i've been playing WA, i've never really went more than a couple months without playing, and even at that i've came on as alias for a BnG or something...

Is there any way possible of finding out a list of who has put the most time into this game? I doubt it but worth a shot lol, it'd be an interesting statistic.

After reading all the pathetic attempts at April Fools, got me thinking about some classic pranks i've played on my family & friends over the years, not talking about April Fools btw, just any normal day lol.

So I wanna start a thread where we can share some of those glorious moments with each other


One of my favourites was almost 10 years ago, nothing major but i'll never forget my Brothers reaction:

We were in the garden at my parents house having a BBQ, we had a bunch of friends over, some guys n girls having drinks and some music in the sunshine, anyway, I went up to the house to get more ice and my Mum was moaning she never won the lottery and for some reason I thought it'd be funny to convince everyone we'd won the lottery, so I quickly told my Mum my idea and burst out the door screaming "Jaff Jaff Mum's won the f@#!ing lottery man" then she comes out behind me waving the ticket screaming "YA BEAUTY!" then pretending she can't walk straight, everyone downstairs is like "wtf? eh? really? no f@#!ing way..." so I was like "Cmon Jaff hurry up, come upstairs".

I swear I have never ever in my life seen anyone look so excited like a dog hanging out a car window on the bypass as he ran up the stairs.

But the kicker was as soon as he got to the top of the stairs I said "Aye right ya fanny, got ye!" and everyone laughed, was awesome
