I would say that Guaton fairly won the match and I don't think it should have bothered you at all.

Imagine that the finish was not a plop but a normal platform,  it would have been classed as a normal win.  So the fact the worm went into the water really means nothing.  He beat you JUST by a second with 1 worm and you had another worm that got 63 which means nothing.

I don't see what the big deal is really or why it "annoyed" you.  Getting beat by 1 second gives your opponent a real buzz of excitement and accomplishment.  Those moments are why we all play the game and when they happen to you then you experience the same delight.

Don't get annoyed if you get narrowly beaten, just think of how it feels for your opponent and enjoy it that way.

The finish to a rope race map is at the word finish.  I don't see the significance of the worm touching the top or the side of the finish.

Many maps don't have plop ends, in this case Guaton would have touched the finish and lived.

You are still taking issue with him plopping at the end aren't you?  If he had just plopped then fine but he hit the word finish.  I think it just looked a bit odd to you and because it was a plop end map you are taking issue with the rules with this kind of end.

Although your examples are amusing (like normal) I don't see how they are relevant.

When a 100m sprinter wins a race he has to get any part of his body to that finish line, same in horse racing and motor racing.  The runner could hit the finish line and fall flat on his face and have a heart attack and then get bum raped by sexually deprived sailors....he would still have won the race.

If a rockclimber fell to his death, only touching the top, not climbing above it, it is not success.
