Challenge #796, DFW Challenge

FoxHound:
Alright, I played high to make a very didactic replay. Now I submited it as a record here. 22 minutes in total. Now the replay has no mistakes. I will upload this replay on the TUS scheme page, since it is didactic.

Maybe I will play a good run later to turn it to a real record.

I'm using this calculator to release the points in the minute format (lol):

Really great work of you both! I will have some runs for sure.

Thanks, I will like to see people's records. I'm sure sbs will too.

That Playback time in replay: is hell, nobody know what type there and with which format for save replay.

Scheme ported to 3.7.2.1+rubberworm, check if it is correct. I set all manually as I see it on TUS scheme preview. Who want play on 3.7.2.1, extract scheme from my replay. (only thing which I do not set is "worm select do not cancel seat time", because I do not know where. I think, it can be done with teststuff only)
I play without look at replay before, so if I did something wrong... Only hint was that animated gif.

@Admin: Please delete my replay with time 36.1, I did big mistake there. (roping from hospital)

edit: replay was deleted yet, so I will post 3.7 scheme later.

I just checked your record and I must say congratulations, since you thought on a different way to make the GG, a shortcut we didn't plan (and we tested several things for long time).

Yes, the way up by left wall from nana glitch area is almost impossible, since sbs used dotted wall technique to avoid problems on the map, such as driver being stuck there. However, we do realized there's another way to get there, that is ultra hard, we tested several times and never made it correctly: using rope + super banana to explode the worm to the GG spot.

Your idea of using only dynamites and not bat + dyna on the boat sbs already mastered, he discovered a fast way to do that part, but it's not easy anyway.

About going back Home from the path on the right (that has a forbidden sign), I initially wanted to let players choose one of the sides to go back, but I think the church path (the correct) is a new terrain to Driver explore and adding rope on the forbidden path could potencially confuse players with so many weapon sprites. The church side has no weapon sprites, that's why the free rope is by that side only, because on the original map I filled the floor with rope sprites thinking on driver only, but sbs thought that too many sprites would polute the map and confuse players, since someone could think stoned could rope down.

And yes, you committed some cows during the replay, you used rope from the hospital, went to the wrong path with rope and also didn't follow the author's original route to plop the Driver, so you didn't follow all the 24 stages to complete challenge, as stated on the rules:

--- Quote ---All the 24 stages available on a big sign of the map must be completed
--- End quote ---

I'm still talking with sbs to see what he thinks, but I think your replay will not be considered valid. However, I do apreciate your attempt and you made some creative moves there, I would consider your run as a separate category "different route from author's intentions". Even on this category, there's still the rope from hospital cow that you mentioned.

EDIT: ah, now I removed the necessity of adding the time of the replay to upload. I'll do this myself. I know it's complicated by my own experience. And, by the way. I would apreciate if you try another time with correct gameplay. I don't mind about your scheme, I think. But you should really update your game lol. I'm fan of RubberWorm, though and I know there are some things from RW that are different in 3.8.

EDIT 2: There are some possible problems on your 3.7 RW scheme:

1) Wind bias is not zero
2) No auto-retreat time for animals and super nana
3) Continuous flames through turns
4) Select worm broken in Sudden Death (you could set no SD, to avoid this)
5) select worm and hot-seat time could be different

And maybe other settings. All of these settings shouldn't interfere on gameplay so much, the biggest problem would be wind bias I think.

FoxHound:
Now I noticed you released a new record with shorter playtime. Now there's no cow except for the different route for the GG. That replay could be considered a different category as I said, but not valid for this challenge. We could fix the map by expanding the transparent area on the sides to avoid your GG method too.

I apreciated your attempt, I enjoyed watching you playing. I think you could upload (or I could) this replay to TUS as I made with Sonic Boom Race challenge that Kirill created, here.

I might consider your record as a separate category, but since TUS 2.0 is not cappable to do that yet, I could do in an indirect way.

FoxHound:
sbs said he knows a method even faster than jet going out of bounds to plop Driver, this one:

And to avoid this method there's nothing that could be done, I think. Anyway, the replay will not be valid for the main category.

Never forget Rope Race for Dummies by DarkOne: http://d1.worms2d.info/looking2.htm

EDIT: Would you shortcut the GG on this map by going from start to finish in 2 seconds? The author of the map put an arrow to go to the right, not directly to the end of the game. Why would someone play on this map to go to the finish in 2 seconds?
https://www.tus-wa.com/maps/map-19490/

There are several parts on our DFW map that the driver or the stoned can plop twice before even getting to the hospital...
