Challenge #852, Flat Earth Apocalypse (FEA) Challenge

<< < (3/7) > >>

FoxHound:
I'm currently traveling right now. I'm in Belo Horizonte (far from my hometown). I'll stay here for a week I think and I'm not with my computer to watch replays. But as soon as I get back home I'll watch it. I decided to don't create a special scheme for this challenge, so it is exactly the scheme that can be played up to 6 players, this means that yes, if you use Armageddon fast, you will delay the sudden death and more health crates will spawn on the map. Sudden death only ceases the health crate spawns. Nothing else happens.

That is wrong. I noticed that water start rise slowly too on sudden death.

I'll have to check this when I arrive home. Might be a bug from TUS. Or maybe it is so small the water rise I didn't notice when playing with normal water level.

EDIT: if I were at home I would download the latest version of the scheme available on worms2d.info: https://worms2d.info/File:Flat_Earth_Apocalypse.wsc

And compare with TUS scheme. I noticed the scheme on TUS is with 5 pixels water rise. If it is different from WKB scheme it is a bug. If it is equal, maybe I choose 5 pixels because I tested with low water level. However for this challenge maybe I should remove the 5 pixels now that I raised the water. Or maybe let it be  this way.

Danger135:
TIP: when making gif from replay, you can disable meteor timers by pressing Del.

FoxHound:
Alright, I watched both replays you sent here (I'm back home). Wow! I'm impressed! more than 10 minutes dodging meteors. The water almost plopped your worm!

I realized it was not a TUS bug. I decided to put 5 pixels of water rising in the past because the land was very high when I created the scheme, so it would be almost impossible to a worm plop, I did this in case the game never ends. However, now that the land is low, it doesn't make sense to keep the water rising. I removed the water rising from the scheme (the scheme is now updated).

Your record is still valid, but I'll ask to people update the scheme from now on, however I will accept replays with the old scheme.

I could make the challenge with water rising and make damage as tie-break, but I needed to update the scheme for online play anyway, so I prefered to allow the challenge to last longer.

Maybe I'll try myself to beat you since no other players are trying this chally, and this is the first time I find a player with a very good level of skill in this scheme.

Oh, thanks for this tip. I didn't know this was possible, and I always wanted to hide those numbers. Although, it seems that when you do this the worms names are not shown too.
