Greetings soldiers!
TUS is proud to present it's latest addition to the TUS league pool: HAL.
HAL is short for 'Hysteria and Aerial League'. As the name implies, this league is dedicated to the two gametypes of Hysteria and Aerial. Both schemes are fast-paced, dynamic, explosive and most of all... hysterical!
You can download the schemes from this page (https://www.tus-wa.com/schemes/?leagues;sort=league;desc). Click on the HAL league to download.
Since Hysteria has gotten its own league, it is removed from TRL.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
;D
A well-deserved smite. :-\
You forgot to remove it from Classic xDD
Gj, but remove hyst from classic too !
no from classic no
Hal died in 2001 Space Odissey oO
Aerial, what is it?
cool, I have NEVER played aer... what!? Separated league for these schemes? Funny... Almost as funny as hysteria in classic league.
replace aerial with hysteria in classic maybe
Note: the HAL hysteria games also count towards your tus classic rating, in case someone hasn't noticed.

how will be the POs? if like i play hyst but not aerial?
Nice 2001: space odyssey touch MI, I thought of that when i saw HAL league, was going to post a pic of HAL till i saw the sidebox thing. :)

Agree. ;)
this whole hal league seems to be created under the impression of sitting on the toilet while squirting around.
sorry but i cant see any red line in this new league concepts. elite gets seperate stats on their own league but hysteria and aerial doesnt. lol i cant even play some players in HAL because i already played them in classic league. thats a damm handicap. yesterday i played tus with guuria and she picked hysteria. it was before hal was announced, now i have hal standings of 1 lose. the best thing, it wasnt even mentioned in the announcement how the league works.
MI remove Hysteria from classic !!!!!!!
i pleyed allready 15 HAL games but all was Aerial's coz of not separate ratio for Hyst.
nooooo!!!!!!!11111 keep it like tel, so it doesn't affect other leagues (hyst classic, aerial free)
I think this league shouldn't affect classic league but it should be such as TEL

So what the f@#! is the point of this league? Also, remove Hysteria from the Classic scheme-pool, this bloody bad scheme has got it's attention now.
TEL doesn't count for Classic Elite, so what the hell?!? ???
Oh, and by the way, once again, a league in which I participate against my will. I don't want any points to be shown for my HAL statistics, because I hate the scheme and I don't want people to even think that I participate in this horror.
This is the worstly-thought-out concept TUS ever released. Huge thumbs down.
I separated HAL from Classic like just like TEL.
However too many separate leagues will create confusions, we're thinking about some solutions.

Don't look here (https://www.tus-wa.com/leagues/classic-standings/Hysteria/) then ;)
confusions? i guess that u parallels leagues create more confusions xD chaining 1 scheme in different leagues xd
You people need to make up your mind.
Go with the old TUS concept or go with the new one (each scheme its own league). Parallel leagues are part of the latter.
So far the only arguments against the new direction are:
A) i don't wanna wreck my old classic hyst rating (? cause you're afraid you might lose points??)
B) i don't wanna participate in this league against my will (I don't want to send a signal I support hyst???)
Personally, I think both arguments are whiny b.s.
As far as I know the only real argument against the each-scheme principle is players having to do playoffs they are not really interested in. Personally, I wouldn't mind playing playoff games, even if it's in schemes I'm not so good at or don't really enjoy. It's still a very special thing to be part of playoffs. Maybe not for Random & Mab, but for everyone else it definitely is.
You folks need to realize that everything is gonna change to the way it was before TUS 2.0 and that all the league suggestions that have been posted will go to waste. Personally I think that's a shame, as it really had some nice and interesting features the old leagues hadn't.
Think about it mates.
HHC, you are wrong.
I'm talking about having a league in which you participate, it unwillingly puts you on a different ladder. Why is that good?
What you were saying was the other end, having separate leagues for each which is just completely stupid.
TEL is nice, a league for Elite only. That doesn't affect Classic standings, now does it? So why does HAL? Just make that stupid Hysteria league and get rid of it from the Classic League once and for all, as it never belonged there. We are closer to achieve this than ever, don't ruin it for me us with your reasonable arguments please.
The point we're trying to make is that when you play an Elite game, you should come to TUS and report Elite! That's it. Things like TEL Elite and Classic Elite created confusions, specially for new comers. We could have many leagues and keep simplicity if all of them feed on one scheme.
maybe everyone will be happy with an option in your profile like "i don't want to participe in X league", then u simply doesn't exist in that rankings and u oponent don't win points in that league (example, if he won u an elite classic and u aren't in TEL he does not take these points)
sorry my english sux, I hope you understand my idea, i think tha with that system the parallel leagues could operate without disgust to nobody

this might be the best solution, though likely requires more work for MIsland. it allows for games to count in multiple places by default, but leaves it up the player to turn off other league activity as it suits them.
edit: a similar functionality would be allowing tournament games to also count for all related leagues (but again players could disable this as it suits them)
/me needs to know ONE thing about HAL.... Can it be like, only Hysteria? You play Hyst, u win, report & go away... or does it have to be mine and my opponent's pick -> I pick Hysteria and then my opponents picks aerial/hysteria or he has to pick Hyst, OR , I pick Hyst, win, report and go away (like some1 did to me) lol
Happened alot to me before, my adversary win 1 trl and jump away...
Had to be 2 games, MI have ever explained this?
The default rule on leagues with more than one scheme is that you play 2 games, one pick for each player, everything else can be done on agreement.
HAL sucks.
You're being very positive lately aren't you Ray?
C'mon man, if you don't like the HAL schemes, fine, just don't play for it. No need to start nagging at it every opportunity you get.
Just explain me this: why the heck do I get points for this "league" when I'm not even participating in it? In fact, I hate everything that's inside that league and I wouldn't want anyone to think that I played a single game in this league!
Why do I get statistics for something I don't do? Why am I getting connected to something I hate from all my heart? Explain it to me!
Stop being a drama queen lol.
Is there anyone who cares that you don't like hysteria? If you don't wanna play it, that's your call. But your presence or absence doesn't really refrain other people from playing it or appreciate it as a fun scheme.
All that aside, the ratings are now seperated. There's a seperate HAL Hysteria and HAL Aerial rating. See MI's posts.
i hate hysteria, but i love aerial, thats why am playing hal. u dont need to play it and u dont need to blame this league. just dont participe mate :)
He missed the post where explains that HAL moved to its own league without affecting Classic.
That's good.
I'm not being a drama queen, I asked you to explain something to me that made 0 sense. Now one more thing, MI, mind doing a backward update so that even that one little game for my HAL glory list is removed? That would be awesome. :)

Lmfao, not trying to be rude, but this sounds like all the shitty developers that want to dumb down, simplify and casualize each and every game. People meet in AG and people are capable of deciding if they wanna play (to go with your example) TEL or Classic elite. Instead when reporting you should ask the player: Which scheme, then a new window/page whatever pops up and you can simply ask them if it was a TEL or a Classic match, with little flashy "?" signs to show what are the differences. Don't get me wrong I am not angry or something it just made me laugh that I see the same pattern here in this niche game and it's league. xD
I am all for simplifying the "process?" (not sure what's so hard to know if you played TEL or a Classic Elite) but don't hurt the players that are actually capable of communicating with their opponents.
And for newcomers, just create a bloody guide to your league and site, don't let newly registered people report games before they have gone through the tour of your site, it can't be that hard to explain the difference between 2 leagues with the same scheme, my god. ;)
You are looking at the concept league-based and it is not hard to know what game were played, TEL or Classic Elite, true. We're looking at it scheme-based. We have identical schemes in different leagues. Your Elite rank should represent your Elite skills. If you want to know some player's skill in an specific scheme, which league you'd go after?

If you want to know some player's skill in an specific scheme, which league you'd go after?
just a matter from which point you look at it. some people may think its the classic league stats because it shows your skills compared to a bigger amount of players. (possible inaccuracy because people are forced to play schemes which they dont want/ are used to).
other may think its the seperate league like tel because people cant be forced to play in it. in this case your points are based in your games vs other scheme specialicsts, but its not related to the other players who dont like the scheme/ are used to.
well basicly it sounds a bit useless for me to built up 2 different kind of stats for an individual scheme but on the other hand the combination of these 2 elite stats is maybe the best indicator of skills we can get. because it covers a larger field than any single stats could ever create.
