I have decided to "officially" put myself into a retired status. As you could all see, I haven't been playing this game at all except from EAC and a few casual games every now and then, so this can't strike as a surprise. I must say that due to the lack of time on my hands and a serious lack of motivation made me realize that I just won't ever be playing professionally again. And we had that CF comeback thing which was unfortunately a huge failure, so there's that too.
I really miss this game, the competitions, the people, but that flame isn't there anymore and there's no point trying when that's gone.
I have to say a huge thank you for everyone, the friends, the competitors, the haters, the weirdos, the drunks, everyone.
I have a huge personal thank you to say to MonkeyIsland. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have my career right now - ironically, the one that drives me apart from this community and you as well - and for that I owe you for the rest of my life. I never would have made it without your guidance and patient help, you taught me not only the ways of our industry but also how to be a better person. Thank you!
Another one goes to Random00, who helped me develop and maintain a professional attitude towards anything really, helped me become better at what I do and always challenged me to be better and to drive to be a better me. The amount of fun we had together playing is beyond anything I would have ever imagined that I would experience in this game and I hope we will hang out. Thank you!
You are all special to me, take care of yourselves.

Just stop taking everything seriously and professionally, casual gaming with friends is the way all games should be played imo. But if you wanna do it the hard way, then good luck anyway :D

ray, i wish i got to beat you, unfortunately i think you killed me in every game we played. so in that sense, you will always be a pro's pro to me.

That's false, you could earn money in GIGA, a lot actually. DarK can tell you about that in-depth.

Yep, CF having professional wormers. CF-Medal won 2.000€ by winning giga. CF-Random00 also won a lot of money with EAC. And we all know that every winner of TEL will win 100$. Maybe soon in classics too.
By the way, Medals win was the highest payout in the worm history. So at the end, CF is a pro clan. ;D Like few others.

i have won money in a poker tournament with some friends b4, am i a professional poker player?
i also win some money from time to time playing pool, amd i a professional pool player??
the answer is no... in order to be professional, you have to make a living at it...
just to clear things up, but yes... we know what ray meant, he played competitive, at a high skill.. and for this, the world thanks you.

Last year we held a private RoH elite tournament where the prize pool reached 2001 euro so I wouldn't go throwing the 'highest-payout-in-worms-history' term around. It's all well-documented.

Being able to pay rent and food for a duration of several months makes something professional to me. If you wanna keep talking about this topic please do so in a separate thread, you're very welcome to open one yourself if you want to know more about it, Walrus.

For some people, it's enough to just play around, but for some of those, who experienced the higher levels of the game (not that I suggest I'm one of those) it's not enough anymore and they want to get that feeling back of being high, being competitive and will feel unhappy when they are not capable of. Sort of like a drug.
Anyway, thanks for your kind words, love you all. I will make sure to be part of EAC. If nothing else, at least that... ;)

It's kinda sad to notice that thread only now. I hope you still read it mate.
I remember you were the very first Hungarian player who took his time to help me out when I needed, even though I was ( probably still am :p ) a very annoying kid.
You made me enjoy the game, and want to get better to beat you, like an ambition "to beat Ray", haha I remember we were arguing on AG about I can beat you in shopper, but we never played that match, because you just wanted to inspire me to shut the heck up and play, and get better.
You've been a very good example of a respectable player, the one who worked from "what's roping?" to CF, which IS still the best clan ( imo ).
I do owe you a huge sorry for being so annoying, childish, but all I wanted is to get on your "level".
Haven't reached that yet, but I really hope that we can see each other sooner or later, and play that freaking shoppa ! :D
