yah, quite hard map, not easy to 1. find out and, even more, 2. keep a good, constant throw. esp cuz the darn finger rule keeps tracking off i guess :D

For this map I will be using an edited version of the map so my worms don't plop, so I can teleport worms back if I fail 1st worms, like what I done for some of the Team Challenges, I suggest you keep this in mind for future challenges with very ploppable maps.

Also, why would you allow to bounce off Stans head? If you touch his head it's a complete miss, it's bad enough in dSTs and League games but for a CHALLENGE why make it easier??

a missed throw towards hat can still be "edited" by when/where you close drill. you bounce off differently according to when/where before bounce you close so its a kind of countable factor imo. just to keep it skillbased, the skillful closing to bounce further will be rewarded. lucky "bad throwbounces" may occure aswell but on maps like this you need a general good throw so if you miss too bad you cant get a too high score with those bounces added anyway.

if you know what i mean rofl

I've only ever seen people hit Stans head by accident and luckily land on the target, they completely messed up their throw while aiming to the target, a bad throw should NEVER be rewarded in this way, the same thing happened in TT which is why I edited the rules to void it, pretty much everyone except you seen the reason why.

I can't believe I am even having this conversation with you, you constantly support stupid ideas for Darts, always trying your best to implement luck into the game.

And what would be the problem if there's a bit of "luck" implemented.Things shouldn't become so strict, like roumanian school :o

The whole purpose of Darts is accuracy and getting the best score, if you miss you shouldn't be rewarded for it, simple.
Title: Re: Challenge #519, NdSC #9
Post by: MarianRV on May 28, 2015, 12:29 PM
I understand but things shouldn't be just "respect the rules".Because sometimes "luck" can make things better.depending on the case. But oh well, don't listen to the child...

I agree with you in principle Komo, but this map is pretty hard already so I am ok with the hat thing being allowed. Doesn't seem to happen too often anyway, and when it does it is normally only a 50 or 75. I doubt anyone will get a decent rec here doing it this way.

It's irrelevant if it happens a lot or rarely though, the point is that it happens, and instead of scoring 0, they will score 50+ when they don't deserve it, for me this is just as bad as someone asking for a rethrow because they drilled by accident at the start of their turn, in theory it's all nicey nice to allow someone to take their turn again, but it's a competitive game a turn used should be a turn used, and a miss should be a miss, there should be no room for arguement.

I am not trying to be an asshole here, just trying to keep the scheme strict, professional and more skill based which I have done a great job of so far, if you want to play with luck, then play funners and do whatever you wish...

Sure but they are hitting the target at least, so it's not really a "miss" as such. I take the point though.

How about to half user's points if the hat was hit?

You barely hit 50 or 75 if you hit the hat,I don't think points substraction is necessary

Spleen, if u aim for target and miss because u bounced off other object it's a miss, we have even discussed making it official Darts rule no unmarked contact is allowed just like the sonic maps which everyone I spoke to agrees it's better that way.

Marian, shutup, stop getting involved for the sake of moaning at me, you don't like me, well whoop dee f**kin doo I don't like u either but I don't go out my way to complain about u, if you don't have any constructive information for either side of the arguement then don't speak at all, stop talking to me and stop getting involved in my debates unless u have something useful to say.

I back up my arguements with history facts and evidence you just randomly talk crap for no reason and contribute nothing to the subject.

If u wanna talk then talk about the subject not ur feelings towards the people talking, you are worse than a woman.

And what is your damn problem Komito? Can't you just f*cking ignore me...We live in a free world and I have the right to say what I want as long as I respect the site's rules(no porn stuff, etc.)

The problem is you constantly taking little stabs directly at me for no reason, many times in the past week you've directed stupid comments towards me even though I wasn't talking to you, and everytime I get in a debate with someone you go out of your way to congratulate the other person even when their arguement is illogical, it's completely childish! You know exactly what you are doing so don't pretend to be stupid.

I can ignore you if you stop making these stupids comments about me, I don't post public comments about you when you aren't talking to me so why must you? Unless you want me to go out of my way to annoy you too? I can do that easily if that's what you want?

Ok, since you are going out your way to troll me, i'll go out my way to troll you, starting by banning you from dS Tours, I don't care if other dS guys disagree, if you stop trolling me i'll let you play again.

You tried to ban me from Plop War, it didn't work cuz it was a public cup, dS Tours is my creation, how do you like me now ;)

Oh he who laughs last :)

Your decision. But banning an active dS player isn't maybe the best option.Maybe after a 2-week "speech" war things will be different, not sure if you'll ever change your opinion tho.

Also,I'm not really attempting to troll you,or maybe I am doing this without realising.Anyway, everyone has a different way of understanding certain things.Misunderstandings happen

marian: its desperate trying to fight a guerilla war vs komo at each place you say smth. you talk bout komo here komo there without him even involved. he just is sick of your behaviour, (1. ingame 2. even more after the discussion about it came up, your reactions disqualify yourself again and again) but tolerates you in dS tours for the sake of the scheme what we love, you prolly will never understand that point.
and you keep on fighting him for no reason or at least without any further attack. wtf i dont want you to be off ds tours but i can understand its one of the only ways komo can maybe make you stop and think.

it really sucks to lose a very active player but you MUST realize that komo isnt the only person who got problems with your attitude. its not a 1-1 fight. its time for YOU to think about your behaviour.

for the sake of the scheme what we love

important point. we care about darts and the community thats why we didnt ban you from all our stuff since you are not unskilled and you like the scheme.
but you miss the idk how to call it, sportsman, human, social point? whatever, you just tend too often to be a total prick and that just doesnt fit.

I couldn't agree more for the human point...but I am pretty sure as long as Komo is in dS,I'll never be there.Anyway,I like this scheme but I don't think I'll ever have a place in dS.I don't know how to explain it...

Anyway,peace

Marian, don't be so selfish, do you think you are the 1st human being to have problems, or the 1st person whose parents don't understand them? Think about people who are gay or disabled and their parents disown them, think about 3rd world countries that don't even have means for water/food let alone luxury of living and playing games.

You think you have it bad but I can assure you that you have an easy life compared to most of the population of Earth, if you choose to use it to your advantage.

Weren't you ignoring me?...

Whatever, everyone has different opinions and everyone is understanding a situation in a different way.I repsect your opinion but I didn't want to say that I have a miserable life or anything,I'm saying that the "life" inside my head is weird, that no one is understanding my way of thinking about certain situations.I might be saying stupid stuff, but that's mostly me

Anyway,peace as usual

Only spent 30 minutes on this one, I love this map in dS Tours and League matches but it pisses me off in Challenge lol.
