Maybe group people based on location?`This could help avoid potential latency Issues temporarily, but this is not a guarantee though and it could just help with the first phase of the cup.
Though in funners, I have heard from some people they start like 2 seconds after everyone else. But since it is just for fun, we really don't care as much. But maybe here we should exercise caution. Hmmm....

I played lot of games with people situated in North and South America.
We agreed to start when timer hits 5 second, and we would all start at same time - everytime.
Latency issue is minimal to non-existent. So don't wrap your mind around that!
For sure there will be some interventions since module is still in early phase, but I'm ready to try it out and will gladly moderate this cup till finals. If nizikawa says he's not happy about module being used on TUS yet, he'll notify me and cup will be put on delay.

The 5 second rule is a good rule and I use this too. I thought I'd just share my experience. Majority of the time it works really well anyway.

If you, for whatever reason, can't record your game - your opponent need to agree that he'll be recording it. Then again, you need to have a proof of your opponent agreed on that. Please be aware of this simple rule! VIDEO OF THE GAME IS MANDATORY!
Double check cup description and make sure you're doing it right. If I did a mistake somewhere, please point it out and I'll fix it asap.

Use smaller maps. Best is to download Legion's Big RR Generator (https://www.tus-wa.com/files/file-1784/) and make maps yourself. Smaller maps can be generated with these settings:

Yeah, Marko will be around. I talked to him on Discord earlier this morning. Walrus was commenting his situation on discord few nights ago. Apparently he didn't even install realtime yet. Hoping he'll find some time to do these matches.

It's not just Walrus. Vok also doesn't seem to be willing to play.
Lordhound was already replaced, Asbest kicked.. Lot of players throughout groups went inactive or don't have any will to start playing their games...
All in all, I'm dissapointed to see this kind of response. Really had feeling that new RealTime module accompanied with good money prize will be an easy way to attract some players back in W:A, but seems like a failed try!

Not to mention everyone else that I encourage to play their games cause bunch of people donated money in the cup and they supported the idea of realtime races being streamed on twitch..

How funny it all looks here. I must say, as an outsider, that money should not be the main reason for the competition.
A year ago, in the circle of Russian players, one organizer of a little-known game project decided to hold a tournament in which it seemed to everyone in all seriousness that everything was organized seriously, they even invited professional commentators to stream. As a result of the tournament, he deceived the winners and did not give the promised gaming monitor to the winner, the gaming keyboard for the second place, the gaming mouse for the third place, and some prize to a random viewer of the stream, I don’t remember. Yes, it was a powerful incentive to play. It is worth adding that we were watched by half a hundred people on YouTube - this is not so much, but still, they were shown on TV. There was motivation, there was an incentive - this adds excitement, mood and some part of the skill. As a result, everyone was deceived, and the organizer successfully went offline and did not get in touch. Time passed, everyone forgot about it.
The conclusion is that money adds interest to the tournament, but should not be a key part of the competition :)

This is not true. I opened a Skrill account the day you asked me but it's almost unusable for Brazilians.
We could work this out with crypto or PayPal instead.

blitzed and aladdin - I'm trying to get you to play your semifinal game for quite some time now. No answer from any of you guys yet.
In a few weeks, I'll be gone for months cause of work and most probably will not have a PC suitable to play league games at that period. This cup got to end at some point.
It was hosted at 7th February, 2022., so I'll give you deadline till 7th February, 2023.
If game is still not played by that date, I'll proceed Kradie and myself as 3rd and 1st. Money for 2nd place will be donated to TUS site.
