An additional rule has been added to the cup

Hi all. So now we have 16 participants. What next? I never played in cups.

@Foghunter you have to wait for the cup moderator to start the cup. It seems he is waiting for more players.

@MonkeyIsland, we are not really sure about what he is waiting for. Probably Prabe to join.

Initially I wanted to start at 16 players. Now I think we can start at 20. I will adjust deadlines for all stages accordingly when I start the cup.

This means you have 15 days to play!

All games are BO3!

I have removed myself and tonadatriste from the cup. This is so we can start the cup now.

I have been playing for 4 years, but I have never participated in tournaments.
What now? Should I just log in, create a game, and wait for my three opponents to join?
But how will they know that I am waiting for them? They won't.
So how do I inform them about the time or contact them?

Is there a clear and complete guide for this situation anywhere?

You could try and offer a time to your opponents in this thread, the same thread they will likely visit because they are also part of this Cup.

I have power outages three times a day for 4 hours each due to the bombing of Ukraine's power-generating facilities, so I'm not really sure when I can play as the schedule changes daily. I'm waiting for your suggestions, DioZ, flashR, RIP. I'll join, and hopefully, the power won't go out in the middle of the game.

I don't understand why people join Cups then make no effort to get their games played together.

In fact Foghunter seems to have the most struggle with times to play but is making by FAR the most effort to organize their games.

Simply to Idle and hope that somebody reaches out may not always yield results. Though I see this can go both ways. But that doesn't absolve you from your signed responsibilities.

If what you say about Dioz is true here about Dioz, then I'd have to say I am shocked. This doesn't look like the person I talked to last time. But then again, he hasn't answered my recent PMs on discord and snooper. Such qualities combined with what FlashR said, should not join a cup nor let alone have responsibilities.

To clear this up a bit, reason being deadline is due, and Walrus would have to win 2:0 just to make a tiebreaker, then it would force a deadline extension for them to decide who wins again. SO since he loost 1 game there was no point to continue because no other opponents to play in such a short time.

I REALLY don't understand how you all are playing games with each other here and already have some game results.

How do you coordinate with each other for the games? Do you message each other privately and arrange a time? There's no discussion about this in the group. Who then adds the game results to the tournament table, and how?

Where, DAMN IT, can I find clear and comprehensive information on how all of this works?

I have three periods of 3–4 hours every day when I can play, but how am I supposed to "find" my opponents? I don't have their WhatsApp numbers or phone numbers to call or message them like, "Hey, I'm logging in, let's play."

I've already asked similar questions here, and the answer was, "Just write in the group and agree."

What do I see now? More vague replies that don't help at all.

Can someone explain how I can even start playing at least one tournament game?

I've been playing for 5 years, pretty well in big rr and shopper, playing every day for about 2–4 hours. Well, maybe a bit less now, around 1 hour a day. I've never seen anything like Wormnet. I just launch the game, create a match, someone joins, and we play.

@Foghunter Where do you create a game? That's WormNET. It has channels and the post popular one is called "AnythingGoes". You can find your opponents here or use TUS chat to contact them. Set a date and time, then show up on #AnythingGoes.

Then we play, someone wins, but the other says, "No, I won." What happens then? How is it resolved?

All the games we play are recorded automatically by the game engine. These recorded games are called "replays". Replays are saved into:

WA_Folder\User\Games

If you double-click a replay, it will run and play your match exactly the way it went. So that's the proof who won.

To find a player you can:

1. Message them in this cup thread and check if they respond.
2. You can directly contact them via TUS chat. Its icon is in the bottom-right of the screen. If you are not sure how it works, you can send me a message there and I'll reply to you.

Yes that's awesome. W:A is the only game in the Worms franchise that records replays. Thanks to @Deadcode who implemented such great feature.

You can right-click on a replay file and extract scheme/map and much more :)

By the way, when we win our cup game, we should "report" it. You can see the report link below your group. Reporting is done via uploading your game replay.

I told flashr that im not feeling playing the games right now while he was in a lobby with me when i was playing a game to get my mind busy, and yes maybe i should have told someone but you guys act like this is the world ending and i dont understand it but oh well... i would like to talk with anyone that feels like i was disrespecting in that regard on discord and wont comment anymore on this thread.

Actually I think I been quite lenient when it comes to this particular cup. I don't think I whipped people (aka remind them all the time). But if a player receives a reminder, or if someone looking for another player, that doesn't mean anyone is acting on the Impulse that its the end of the world. People just need to owe up to the responsibility they signed up for. And they are welcome to leave if   it gets too much.

If Sensei is stepping down at first point in KO, shouldn't replace him with runaway?(Who was next in line).

Oh no, Prabe trying to appear to be a good guy once again!! For those who are not aware of, Kradie just put me in his black list some months ago, just because I am in not in favour of his racist thinking. No worries dude, I am still fine with that, keep it going! I will not take part of this cup anymore!

This is an open cup for anyone, as longest they can fulfil the cup requirement. You joined this cup after said Incident and partook in its activity. It is a bit strange that you realized this now and not before. In the end, whatever happened before is Irrelevant for me, this is a cup, and I can easily separate these things.

What's going on here? The deadline has passed.

I've been busy, but I confess it is not only that I have also lost some motivation, and because of this I semi-forgot about this cup.

I have tried to get @JaGoD  and @Aladdin to play for weeks, but nothing seemed to happen. I was so hesitant to process myself so far into the cup because it is so unearned. But finally I have, so we can wrap this up..
