"Deadlines
This is a pretty strict cup. We don't increase even 1 hour to the deadline. If you can't make it, do not register in this cup. If the deadline is passed, the players which has a better situation proceed."

I like that  :)

Guys please keep this cup clean and lets focus on Intermediate itself :)
Title: Re: Cup #39: Intermediate
Post by: Doubletime on February 19, 2010, 03:00 PM
Im not even doing anything lol i wonder why people keep smiting me..Not that it really matters.

I must say that i don't like the TNL scheme. The fact that worms hp drop to 1 is a preditable strategic factor. Wich means that if someone who planns right and keeps count on time can evaluate when SD Will start and use it to their advantage( Blocking enemie players for exempeL)

This is not elite. This is inter. BUt never mind i guess i will simply ask my pairs to use luckless vs me =D
Title: Re: Cup #39: Intermediate
Post by: lacoste on February 19, 2010, 03:02 PM
Both schemes have pros and cons - nnn is sometimes ultra boring while tnl lacks in tactics.

What about map choice? Is that open-open-cave by default unless both players agree for caves?
Title: Re: Cup #39: Intermediate
Post by: MonkeyIsland on February 19, 2010, 03:16 PM
Yes :)

The signups are getting slow. We'll start at 40. 2 more :)
Title: Re: Cup #39: Intermediate
Post by: Joschi on February 19, 2010, 03:42 PM
Great.

What about the criteria for creating groups? Does the system consider not to put members from same clan into same group? Somewhere in TUS forum I have read, that this happens surprisingly often. Or do you have skill rated criteria? Pure interest :)

Question to lacoste: Why does TNL scheme promise more eagerness then NNNl does? Since there I have supposed the contradiction. Because in my opinion TNL just prelong the match.

P.S.: I m sure most of NNN's never played TNL scheme before, me also just once..
Title: Re: Cup #39: Intermediate
Post by: MonkeyIsland on February 19, 2010, 04:05 PM
TUS Cups has a function when pairing groups, called 'smart pair' to avoid people from same clans, communities ... fall into same group. But it has a bug and most of the times it does the opposite :)

Anyway, I'll do a pure pairings rather than using it.

I had in mind waiting for sd in situations which sometimes lasts quite long just to pass 45 sec turn. Thats boring for me, and many people dont like it too. In TNL you cannon count on hp reduction, so chances to win in sd arent much changed in 1v2/3 situations. And hp reduction is just a chance - u can wait whole 10 min just for nothing. In TNL you have an advantage which u worked on whole match, no luck factor at the end.

"P.S.: I m sure most of NNN's never played TNL scheme before, me also just once.."

I played it many times and after all its almost same, better play win:)
I am not TNL hater or lover... for me this new kind of SD is just a detail.

Anyway somehow all top players like Dario,Mablak,Johnmir,SirGorash,Terror and others prefer regular classic intermediate:) that's must mean something....

Thanks MI.

Have fun all and best of luck.

P.S.: Since now, promise me 5 wins in row, John! :p

To lacoste: Yea, I got your point. But in a challenge vs. an equal opponent I think its the most fair way and by far the most nicest solution to bring a round to an end. I mean, nobody get surprised by SD. In my opinion the tactic for preparing for SD or trying to avoid his appearance, this is the most difficult and most challenging part of the game :-) Anyway, I m also happy to play our group match with TNL scheme.

I set 10 days for deadline which is a lot I guess. When number of people on a cup increases, it doesn't mean deadline must increase too.

1 egg gets boiled around 6 minutes. 10 eggs get boiled around 6 mintues too ;)

Group 1 can easily live without Weeman, IMO. all the rest played all their games, if only one player got a win from Weeman and that way knocked someone else out, it just wouldn't be fair. Everybody play him or else just kick him out :)

EDIT: and btw, doubletime vs zoky is 1:0 only, unfinished or what?
Title: Re: Cup #39: Intermediate
Post by: Antares on February 24, 2010, 02:10 PM
Agree, but in this situation all three of us have 2 losses :P ... so who qualify? Rounds are taken into account too or not.

I guess DT vs Zoky ended 2-0 but probably DT reported wrong. The replays are there anyway.

Sry, in my opinion a disqualification of Thouson of this CUP is pretty unfair. I just talked with him yesterday night, that so many ppl are hanging around online, but nobody wants to play this CUP... From my point of view he isnt guilty. Furthermore there are about 7 other wormers, who didnt player one single game too!
Some players denied to play, though there were online.. This is a lot more suspicious ^^

I recently sent out tourney notices to all players and so far I've received replies from 2 people: NAiL and Thouson.

But guys, with such a short deadline, you need to arrange your games!
Use this forum to set a date and a time to get your games played like: I'll be in AG next saturday at 8:00 PM GMT.
If you can't make it at that time, then suggest another time.
Don't say you'll be in AG, because you'll be bound to play another game with someone else or you'll be idling on snooper and therefore not pay attention to whether your opponent is there.

I guess it means we will have a 3 way tie for the second person to leave the group since we all won 2 rounds and lost 4 rounds.... Im loving it XDDDDDDDD and im going to change my team names again so nobody will know my worms order. And im going to take your'e order from the replay before we play the tie so you better do so as well Ant =P Allready got zokys replay.

Btw are the 2 players who qualify fromt he group going to meat predeterimned players or is it going to be randomized ?

@MI: Thanks again for hosting. As you probably know, your hosted rounds ended in 1-1. Now we just have finished our game, final result 2-1 for me. We just have a problem, I dont have the replays of the first two rounds, just of the final round... coz I played the very first rounds at a foreign computer :D

I asked hacktrue to report, but it seems system just allows the winner to report. So can you complet my report with the replays? Thanks.

ROFL MAO AT PROCEEDS!

It's typical for dp maybe: more games played - you are better.
What the f@#! there lol?

Look at this shit:

I've beaten Joschi and he is 1st, I am second. Very fair!
I don't care of Hidden who had managed to play vs Joschi after the deadline, I tried to contact him,
shoutbox, cup, gtalk, etc.

Group 3:
You proceed zolo-du lol! Fenrys has beaten him! Is it so difficult to think ae?

Group 5:
Spw and fad - same thing...You did not proceed a guy who has beaten first place of group.
But you did proceed a guy who had hardly played 3 rounds.

Group 6:
dsa is first! ROFLLMAO

For Koras: That's not because I have to play vs Mablak, I like to play vs good players but
this knockout order is really shit.

For Koras: That's not because I have to play vs Mablak, I like to play vs good players but

For pr: keep in mind if U beat Mablak (2,34%) U will play vs winner of Koras/SiD  ;D
But seriously I agree with you..... like I said it wasn't Fenyrs fault.
It was mine fault :-\ We didnt play because of me!
He was thinking it will be easy to catch me in ag(I am there almost everyday) but in last few days I was quite busy so I couldn't play vs him.Same about his game vs Samur...(maybe Samur lost motivation after 3 lose in row.. so it could be impossible to catch him).
Decision about FaD is very fair, this dick doesnt play his games again(pls ban him for next cups:P).

Sorry guys :(

I came clear at the start of the cup. The only thing you needed to do was to post here that you wanna play but your opponents can't play. but I got nothing from you. 10 days was the deadline and I said this is an strict cup.

Viks, I understand your anger. But seriously, this show repeats each tourney. Doesnt matter who hosts... just after a deadline/decision is fallen the complains start. We all knew the exact deadline, so why you didnt complained about your opponents before? I m sorry for you, especially because I know your attitude and interest in tourneys.

I see in tus cups is most important to get group whit active players,no to be best, i have score 1:1 like SPW,but he had better luck and going in playoff. This is boolsheet :-\ :-\ :-\

1. It is not TUS Cups, it is THIS specific cup!!
2. It is funny I made myself clear about the cup, and none of you say ANYTHING in the first 10 days, now that the deadline is over, all people complain.
3. SiD in your group has 2 wins and 2 loses in the first 10 days. You have 1 win and 1 lose in the first 10 days. What more could I do about you?
4. @fenrys, people posted here, pmed on MSN, pmed me on AG and told me that they can't find their opponent, you did none of them. What did you expect me to do?

Your cup, your rules, but i still think it's not serious, all compliments for your effort, but it should be most better, for example leave open groups where is not clear situation. Why is deadline so important?

All respect to you :), Have you seen elite cup? Look exactly when it started.

I had pro players in my cup. And I am happy that really GOOD players took part in the last stages of the cup.

A lot of guys have real life and not so much time to play worms.
I know just a few geeks, beer, zippo, guaton, koras, monkey guys who are available to play 24/7.
Since the Intermediate average age is higher than in other schemes I guess all of these ppl have a lot of things to do besides worms.
Proceeding "most active" guys was not fair and was not explained in the cup rules.
This could cause a lot of rumours about TUS bad reputation (like your lame and cheap BnG style)
You've just eliminated some good players and made your cup noobish.

I do appreciate your will to make your cup strict and fast but it looks very similar to CWT (Even Koras has  moaned me about it)
Title: Re: Cup #39: Intermediate

Why you are censoring yourself a lot? XD

1. I didn't mean you mod elite cup bad at all. That's was nowhere near my point. I was just showing an example of a loooong cup.

2. If cups comes and get closed in a reasonable time, (Like T17 cups Dmitry hosted), then we can always have Inter cup around. I think this is what most people want. Other people are welcome to host the next Inter cup.

3. You are judging me by proceeding most active guys, like if someone doesn't know what happened here, he thinks I proceed people with 4 loses just because they played 4 games. I actually don't wanna repeat myself that I cleared everything from the start ...

4. Play your games!!

3. You are judging me by proceeding most active guys
you are NOT proceeding most active guys,

Why should I join TUS cup next time if I am not sure whether it's fair enough?

So far I m the hoster (Zemke and probably Random00 aswell) of next CWT tourney, thats why I would like to know where you have got your informations from. As I can remember you didn't participated, nor visited our forums once. You judge again about something in a negative way, thought you even didn't make your own experiences. Ok, we tried ONCE a strict cup, because the previous ones lasted about 3 months, so there were some canceled games and some unhappy fellas. But believe me, at the same time there were also a lot of pro-speakers.

I dislike your manner to speak more about other peoples situations then just concern on your own.

Pr said about our game with Rafka: "lol, 5 rounds SD, next time use TNL scheme".

Exactly!

Lol, Pr! In fact, i don't like what is going on, in stead of nice tactics, nice moves people just wait for SD using Skunks, Girders and Petrols, some of them even call this hard, lol. To seperate two worms further from each other, oh cmon. In such situations i would use TNL scheme actually, and next time i will do. Should warn Koras about that.

Lol, i play not too often lately. But last 2-3 gamesi played was about boring end (just boring, not interesting, just lame tries to win). But okay, it is in the rules, i agree, it is also can be rational. Just one question: Lol, i played only 3 games and got bored already, but you, guys, play EVERY day like that. How do you manage to continue?

To Koras: friend i respect you too much to let you win me by luck. Only by your great skill and mastership (which you got enough!)

I played vs Rafka a loots of games, in fact he is not very agressive player so we finish after SD very often too.But if I play very well I win before thus 'f@#!ing' sd ...

Even if i played boring it was cause i played 4th or 5th game this month. Just no shape for creative moves. Not cause i sit for 40 seconds and watching the clock every turn.

I don't care who made this scheme! If i consider it well balanced - it is nice, even if 5 years old kid made it. Btw, i don't say NNN-luckless is bad, i just an answer your words.

Lol. If we talk serious: consider the way of playing - waiting for SD. It is exactly the same as dud mines. You can predict, mine doesn't work. At  the same time you can predict SD happenes on your turn, or your opponent's turn, it is just random, so the situation is close to dud mines. Why we turned dud mines off, but doesn't turn SD off. It is pretty logical. If you don't agree, motivate your answer.
Title: Re: Cup #39: Intermediate
Post by: pr on March 13, 2010, 08:10 PM
I guess he can't motivate his answer since he has arguments like
"who doesnt played intermedaite at all?"
It sounds like the argument:
"Koras, you were working for the Queen and you english is sitll so fra form idael liek taht!
Hwo colud yuo jujde?"

The thing is that nobody can predict SD for 100% sure.
Even if there will be a guy with a stopwatch. Even if the SD timer is 00:00 after the turn there is no possibility for it to say, yeah, it's next turn 1000% sure.

The endless SD vs non SD discussion :P

Aren't there enough topics dedicated for that? I know we have at least two in our forum.
I don't agree with you John in the case of dud mines analogy. As you know, i started to change my playing style to a more aggressive play, just for the fun of it. But i used to built my whole strategy around SD: like deciding from the first move if a game will reach SD or not and adjusting my resources accordingly.
It is indeed like the river card in a texas hold'em poker ;) So you have to react properly and it is the ''card'' that changes all, so there is another variable you must take into account. It means that it will make the game even more complex that it already is ... which explains why also other players like Dario or Mablak think that it is indeed part of strategy and advanced planning techniques.

senseless post without any arguments for SD version.

It sounds like there is a crate with 1000 health which falls at the SD time and we need to stand this luck factor just for fun.

If you've read my post (or maybe you did but didn't understood) you would have noticed i mentioned something about adapting to a changing situation and building a whole strategy along that ... some real life similarities ... which reminds me to ask you: what you do for a living? what profession you have? so i can draw a few conclusion just for myself. Thanks!

Btw: it seems that Dario, Mablak, myself and others were wrong about SD ... my apologies ;)

Building strategy around the luck factor is a very good point.
Why do u always quote mablak and dario? Do you have your own opinion?
Life and worms scheme are not comparable. I think you all just got used to that scheme and don't want to change your mood just cuz Dario told that.
Title: Re: Cup #39: Intermediate
Post by: Antares on March 14, 2010, 11:42 AM
It's my opinion long before i met players like Daz, Mab and many others i didn't named just to keep the list short. But unlike others i don't think i hold the supreme truth... and there was no quote, like i said ... just mentioned few (which are probably in top 3 players all time).

And Dario didn't told anyone anything, he is inactive since quite a while so just leave him out of this. He is not clan leader nor authority so the opinions and similarities between me (others) and him are from way back (probably more than 5 years). Can't stand when someone is bringing Daz in discussion and others start to question the reason he is brought up in just because of frustration or other reason. (not your case though).

And besides, SD isn't a luck factor for me. It's just part of the context, and the wormer who is better prepared and can play in tight situation (like knowing if you will miss it's gg) wins. Plain and simple.

I repeat, everyone is entitled to personal opinion so don't try to impose yours as supreme truth. I respect yours and John's view on this so try to do the same. Thanks!

Like I said some time ago i am not any SD lover or hater.
But I disagree with Johnmir,pr and Tenori opinion about sd.
In my opinion tnl intermediate is more boring then regular one.
why? just because U cant win if U had unlucky positions at start....
btw waiting for SD is not tactic.. its just PART of tactic:)

Does he lose second round vs Rafka because of SD? ;)
Title: Re: Cup #39: Intermediate
Post by: Joschi on March 14, 2010, 10:59 PM
I wonder what you guys hope to reach. This conversation is absolutly obsolete, shown by endless threads where the same issues already have been discussed. I suppose Johnmir got more bored of Rafkas extremly defensive gameplay then of the scheme. Could have been also TNL.

I must admit, that Koras came around with - from my point of view - the best argument:
-  "just because U cant win if U had unlucky positions at start...." means the luck factor of starting positions increases. Really lol, you try to eliminate the "luck factor" (in fact I wouldnt call it luck) SD, but at the same time the luck factor for start positions raise up. As a consequence you should delete random placement. So you reach step by step your favorit scheme: elite.

Gl Antares, since you have beaten me, you are my favorit for the cup :D Use the "black power" of SD xD
Title: Re: Cup #39: Intermediate
Post by: Johnmir on March 15, 2010, 11:59 AM
Hello, guys!
First of all, thank you for all the opinions!

Koras, Joschi and Antares: i actually agree with your reasons (as you remember i was even against cutting creates from the scheme long time ago and i actually agree that SD makes intermediate more unstandart and well balanced), but the thing i hate is that games become like "lame waiting" since someone starts to win, in stead of finding a way of clever tactical moves and great plans. Just watch old games, lol you all play not the first year. Remember how YOU (not me, not Dario, not Jigsaw). You were winning games on a last turns, when your opponents were leading badly by great ideas and unstandart moves. Now 90% of you just prefer to wait to SD. Sitting near PC for 40 sec and do shotgun in last 5 sec.

So, Joschi, you are very close to the truth. I got really bored exactly cause of that, and i don't blame Rakfa! LOL, 90% people play exactly the f@#!ing same!

At the same time, I admit i can be far behind modern playing, and just don't understand something, anyway it is up to you, how to play, i just explain you what i can't understand and what i can't take as it is going now. You are those - who decide.

PS. Again, i'm glad we discussed it somehow again, and it helped me to understand the situation better, but i talk about "evolution" of player's style, not about the scheme itself. It is good. And, Tenori and Pr, Koras is right here (in my opinion), if we don't have SD:

-U can waste all ropes before SD (if U force him to waste a loots of ropes), its np for him cause he can play 'slow' too)
-U will win if U had better positions
-tactic sux cause when opponent lead.... he must just hide well and use shotgun

I'm really afraid of spoiling NNN-luckless scheme by cutting SD off it.

PS2. Koras, friend, i was actually too angry after that game with Rafka. I say "sorry", i still suggest to play NNN-luckless (not TNL-intermediate) in our game if you don't mind. I hope i explained why i said that.
Title: Re: Cup #39: Intermediate
Post by: nappy on March 15, 2010, 12:50 PM
Again, Johnmir gets applaud from me because he exactly took the point from my mouth (with his first part) :)

Building tactics around SD isn't that bad itself, even though it's a luck factor (you can be Mablak or Dario, but still you are not able to predict when will SD come for sure - after this turn or after the next one). But the thing which really pisses off is that kind of tactic which involves wasting turn time for nothing. It's just f@#!ing lame to compensate the lack of creativity with such "STRATEGIC ELEMENT", that's it. Whatever, I want "spend 40 seconds" button in the next update, it will help a lot, lol.

Quote from: Koras
In my opinion tnl intermediate is more boring then regular one.
why? just because U cant win if U had unlucky positions at start....

This is nonsense and you know it :) You can start with -2 and still win, if you can think deeply and turn your lack of worms to advantage (hello, John!).

Rafka is Rafka... he always take his time(40 s for almost every tourn) but then he complaing about SD(even if it comes in his tourn).I was trying to explain him how it works but he doesnt listen. Not my problem ............

Quote
This is nonsense and you know it Smiley You can start with -2 and still win, if you can think deeply and turn your lack of worms to advantage (hello, John!).
I said unlucky positions not regular -2.

Quote
Really lol, you try to eliminate the "luck factor" (in fact I wouldnt call it luck) SD, but at the same time the luck factor for start positions raise up.
This is exactly what I mean.

I have better idea:
lets remove this STUPID rule about no knocks in elite!!!!!

Quote
Building tactics around SD isn't that bad itself, even though it's a luck factor (you can be Mablak or Dario, but still you are not able to predict when will SD come for sure - after this turn or after the next one). But the thing which really pisses off is that kind of tactic which involves wasting turn time for nothing. It's just f@#!ing lame to compensate the lack of creativity with such "STRATEGIC ELEMENT", that's it. Whatever, I want "spend 40 seconds" button in the next update, it will help a lot, lol.

I think the point is to have a good plan if SD comes in yours or enemy tourn  :-[
Yes waiting for SD can be boring.... This button would be very useful ;)

I think the point is to have a good plan if SD comes in yours or enemy tourn  :-[
Usually, this "plan" is like "Okay, if it comes on my turn, I rope here and use lg there, gg. If it comes on enemy's turn, I'm f@#!ed". Not really too complicated, just a few patterns.

Also, dear NNN members, stop smiting me everywhere you see me, rofl. I don't smite you for your opinions, it's not funny :D

I vote for knocking in elite!  :D

(lol, j/k guys)

Well, you and MAblak are special cases. I think you know what you do. But a lot of player watch your playing. Koras, i reraly play and this tendantion of waiting for SD looks very obvious for me. People find a way to have chances with no skill and brain. It is not like i'm angry they can win vs me or you playing like that. If i lose a game - i will never say i lost cause of SD, but when people don't see a lot of things and don't even try to open their eyes, that's so lame :( If i act the same, i just say "sorry, i'm too lazy to think now", but some people suppose it is an nice way to improve lol. Anyway, i said all i want. It was actually usefull for me to hear your thoughts. Sorry for opening an old story! :)

Can understand them. They know, this is the "real final". The winner plays vs me and will win 90:10. So let them time, I dont care to wait anyway :)

God, Koras is not coming, it is 23.00 here. Will wait him till 1.00. Don't know what to do if he doesn't come cause it will be our mistake. We could have played before. This game must be played, no way for tech win here... :(. Lol, looks like it is the first eveninig we can't play.
Title: Re: Cup #39: Intermediate

In fact, guys, and MonkeyIsland, i know Koras, he never miss planned games. It actually looks like 1) he just lost connection - problems with internet, 2) he has some personal problems (serious) - i hope he hasn't though. We both me and Koras were keeping time to prepair better and find a good time to play, cause we were sure we meet in time. Dear MonkeyIsland, give us a chance to play this game tomorrow evening, please. If me or Koras (depends on who win this game) won't play final till the final deadline (game vs SPW) you just give SPW gold. So we will have to play two games till the last deadline.
This game should be played!

I think SPW would rather lose the finals against a deserving opponent than get the gold medal by default

Unfortunately i am almost sure Johnmir can play only in the evening...
Next time we must agree GMT time because for me now is evening:)

Like I said, there is no problem for me coz of waiting. So MI, just let Koras and Johnmir Time, to play it. And I defently wont win gold by default - never ever I want that.

Take it easy, in that case we can take it more easy with last games in this cup. ;)

Hi, Antares!
Darkone and MI push me (us) to play our 3rd place match. To be fair, i try to catch you almost every evening (lol, may be every). I don't like to have "unplayed games" and it is a headache to always keep in mind i need to play a game. I know you had personal problems but i think It's time to ask the mods for a tech win (no any hard feelings! but this game is a headache lol). So if you don't mind let me ask the mods to close the tourney! (you know i'm not happy with getting tech win)

My hats off also for Spw, killing our old man Antares. Unbelievable there could have been 4 NNN at last two games  :D

I hope we can revenge us one time with hosting also such a big tourney, with you as guests!

Congradulations to Koras, our champion!
Congradulations to SPW with the 2nd place!

PS. Congradulations Johnmir/Antares with the 3rd place, the hardest-medal guy :)

I am around, actually was here since sunday, as i already said in my previous post. It's just i am not around when John is (after 17 GMT) and he is not around when i am (usually before 18 GMT) :P
Regarding tech win, i suggested it first, before i left to the funeral i mentioned.

I can play today aswell but not after 18:00 GMT, because it's Bayern Munchen vs Manchester today. I am not a football fan but i am big Bayern fan (like all that is made in bavaria) xD

Then now would be the time to arrange a time and day to get your games played.

MI, could we have a little red text popping up every time someone visits a cup page? :) "If you're playing in one of these cups and can't find your opponent, arrange a day and time to get it played!"

Post by: Johnmir on March 30, 2010, 07:28 PM
Aha, well, i was in wormnet till 18.00 gmt (i played all the sunday), and i didn't meet you, by the way, i'm always online in msn, didn't see you in msn, and didn't get any message from you (in spite of i didn't even turn my PC off when i left home). Anyway, if the mods give us a chance let's do it, but to be fair, i work a standart 9 hours day, and i only able to come back at 16.00 gmt. By the way, on monday (yesterday) i came at 15.45 gmt and was online all the evening. But you didn't come at all, in spite of you said you were going to came. I say it to find  out the truth. Not to insult you and i believe you. But i was pretty active lately (almost every day). Now i will have to play in not any comfortable time cause i'm leaving country soon, and probably have some things to do :P.
Anyway, let's try! Lol, i don't know what i can try though. Just join msn please, when you are able to play!

Okay, sorry for missing that important phrase :))).

Hey, Antares, I can play (game start time) on:
Wednesday: 17-20.00 GMT
Thursday: 18-20.00 GMT
Friday: 14-20.00 GMT

Choose time you can play at in the ranges i mentioned, please.

My city time is gmt+4 now (usually +3 but it's a summer time now). Be careful with a time definition please.

My msn doesen't quite work, i have some sign in problems. I was in ag yesterday waiting aswell and left 30-45 min before the Champions League game and didn't see you. I don't remember monday but i guess i was in ag too until 18:00 gmt. I will be today again, starting 12 GMT until around 18 max 19 GMT.
Title: Re: Cup #39: Intermediate

Title: Re: Cup #39: Intermediate
Post by: Joschi on March 31, 2010, 08:50 PM
OmG! How funny to read this, but also kinda sad, that two mature guys can't date for their games :D
Seriously, Antares, it would help a lot if you would install a snooper at your home comp. Dunno, but you are really an exception under pro players. Even Johnmir gave up his "no-snooper-attitude" and I think he just can report of advantages, can't you, John?
It's annoying to PM you at #Ag and dont get a respond, because you have minimized your game.
Title: Re: Cup #39: Intermediate
Post by: DarkOne on March 31, 2010, 09:30 PM
I left IRC in AG for 2 hours just now. Both of you signed in a couple of times and were only there for a couple of minutes.

In other words, you're both signing on in AG, but neither of you is trying to get the games played.
So how about you actually do what I suggested and arrange your game, so that you don't have to be online for a couple of hours in wait of your opponent (which both of you clearly won't do)?
"I'll be online monday-friday from 14:00-20:00 PM GMT" is NOT arranging a game, it's letting your opponent arrange it.

So how about this?

The time is now 21:29 GMT (or 9:29 PM GMT)

Your game will be played thursday at 19:00 GMT (or 7PM GMT).

If you can't make it at that particular time, then arrange another time.
Please don't make me ask again. I simply can't understand why it's so difficult for you guys to do this really really REALLY simple thing.
Title: Re: Cup #39: Intermediate
Post by: Johnmir on April 01, 2010, 06:06 AM
If i knew i could get "hard to arrange" reputation after all this, i would give Antares tech win in the first day:P.

We met in msn yesterday, finally, we couldn't play but we decided to find time today. I can play today:
from 15.00 GMT to 19.00 GMT, the 1st of April.  ============= I CAN START THE GAME AT ANY MINUTE OF THIS RANGE OF TIME. Situation is that i usually plan my evening, and i can say what i will do. i ask you (Antares) the same, just to tell when you could play the game. Choose time to start the game from this range, please. Is 15.30 GMT a comfortable time for you?

P.S. Joschi, i don't have snooper lately... It is lagging too much on my new Windows, i mean my processor is 100 % busy when i run the Wheat Snooper! I had to refuse using snooper unfortunatly.
