Selection criteria I used:
-top60 TEL overall; top 60 TUS classic elite.
-Best 8 in Elite cup with 32 players or more.
-Best 4 in Elite cup with 16 players or more.
-Winner of cups with 8 players or more.
-Winner of gold medals in Elite in the last 3 olympics.
Seems like a big list, but there's quite a few on there that don't play nemore or hardly ever.. so I reckon it should be good for about 20 to 24 participants.

Not really eager to include many inactive people anyway. They usually end up with 1 game played and slow everything down. Better to have just the active guys in with perhaps 1 or 2 surprise-appearances.
But maybe I'll try and contact some players I'd like to see in near the end of the deadline.

I'm strict in deadlines Van, won't happen.
2 weeks for groups stage, I never delay that unless a REALLY good reason. Same in K/O's.

What makes you think that? =0 I never said I'm available only Sundays. I can play almost any day at almost any given time, if it was arranged in advanced. It's just that 75% never get to play their games, when neither party suggests a specific time. Sunday was the first thing on my mind. It's the day most people got some spare time.
But I can do it the other way as well.
Wolfgang and Bryan, when do you wish to play our games? I can play at almost any time from 12GMT until 1GMT, if you suggest it at least one day ahead. Don't bank on randomly finding me on #AG, because I'm never there unless I play an arranged game.
Now let's see how far this brings us. :'(

It's like this:
1) overall record (with 1-1 being better than 1-2)
2) rounds record (BOTH rounds won AND lost)
3) mutual result
4) if all of the above the same, either replay if time left till deadline or count worms (and after HP if the same) if deadline is up
That's the one I apply anyway :)
And in rare cases I make exceptional decisions, like switching bryan and casso around.
Chelsea has better overall record, better rounds record (2-2 compared to 3-4) and wins on mutual result. It is true that he hasnt played all of his games, but that was primarily Professor's fault as I see it. So for me there's no doubt, Chelsea advances.

I put bo3 cause bo5 IMO is only good for games that dont take too long. I played bo5 in che cup though and that was doable, but yeah, bo3 seems ok.
I dont think the world cup football would be better if it were bo5 all matches. Sure there's more luck involved in just 1 game (or 'just' 3 games), but IMO it's ok.

I find bo5 to be in a perfect balance between not taking too long and limiting the luck factor to the minimum. bo3 is great for giving weaker players a chance, but that kind of contradicts the cup's title. All of the previous elite pwnage cups were played in a bo5 manner in knockouts stage if I'm not mistaken, and there were no complaints. But I guess to each their own.
Football is quite diffrent from this, isn't it. :0

There's a downside to a 'lack of risk' as well. Pretty sure bo3 will leave many player with their buttcheecks held together. One mistake can really mess you up, that greatly increases the tension you feel and the sweat you produce.
But I understand your point.
