w2 was 12 seconds, not 13.

yea but gravity on w2 was different making roping faster. Also I think the maps were a bit smaller :o

w2 easy? w:a is w2 training edition. You have to have fd higher for this 2 be a real w2 cup. Destructible land and no w:a noob maps.

there were ''newb'' maps on w2 too just cos its an older game doesnt mean ther werent newb maps. and whats a newb map anyway it's all a bit subjective. hard/easy/pixely/shit/new? lol

weren't as many maps on w2 anyway and ther were more ppl on w2 repeating map after map and in a right destructible land is better opens up the hard maps. but on easy maps its bullshit just gives shortcuts to crates which were hard before... now easy. lol. So I'd be inclined to say indestructible maps are better. Although like u say it cant be a proper w2 cup but its near enough and if anything better than a w2 cup cos its got the best of both worlds. :)

i dont know how many times i have to repeat myself... my aim was not to recreate a w2 roping experience, it was to compromise with what w:a players with except, and what myself and others want to see, which is w2 style rope with no cr8 rules come to w:a and be accepted as a league game.
so yes, i have had many people telling me my w2 sets r not accurate... but im very aware of that, i been around just as long as anyone else on w2 :\

just so everyone knows(ill say it again), its optional if u do 1 game, or bo3.. decide with who ur playing, i like bo3.. but 2 players can decide per match.. k

i was thinking the same thing actually... i guess we would all play again, and see if 1 guy can be beat twice...
for example: u both beat me.
otherwise, it would be confusing if i beat shy, u beat me, and shy beats you again... we will need somone to get two losses id imagine...
but im open to other suggestions...

this cup fizzled out.. lol.. i cant find agneuaa anywhere.... right now me shy and obscure are 2-1... we deserve to continue playing.. i may move myself into another group and kick out different player... right now it seems like darkz and seba's groupd dont deserve even to be playing.. so that may be where ill put myself and advance along with darkz.. unless that group can show me the are interested b4 the deadline, thats what will happen..

and if for some reason darkz and sebs group steps it up, and proves they deserve to move on...
the next group im lookin at would be dulek's group... so u guys may want to do something to clench a spot there as well... (if u even care)
but the bottom line is, me shy and obscure deserve to move on more then most.. (at this point)
so if u guys dont do anything about it, dont be mad when i remove u from the cup to give the spots to more deserving players.

You can't replace a player which has played some games in his group (such as yourself) with another player and even if you could, you'd better not do such thing.

Many people copy the things you do as a mod. If a player has played some games and get moved to another group, it will "teach" others to ask for their group changed (if they had not satisfying result)

i set the deadline for an extra day... hopefully people can get a few more games in... agnuea, u really need to play vs me and shy to see whats going on with our group... the others r pretty clear on whos going on.... (even if they dont deserve it)

monkeyisland.... i think im going to switch groups around... its my tourney... and i have very good reason to do it....
i added 1 extra day, so maybe darkz and seba can prove me wrong, but there is NO reason either one of them should move on, over some other people in this cup, its not fair to everyone else.. but more importantly seba... there is no way i will move him along to next round for having a 0-1 record, while others have 2-2 , or 2-1... im sorry... but my cup, my rules.

sorry darkz, i did not take into consideration ur group was inactive...
maybe if u came and made a post saying u were making en effort, i would have passed u along.... go back a couple posts, i gave plenty of warnings for u to play... u didnt, so i made my choice.

and i would have passed u.. but u did not make any post saying u even cared... so i was not going to move u along, its not fair to the people who did put effort in.
not to mention i extended the deadline about a week... that was more then enough time... its nothing personal, but i could not pass u along for playing one game, its not fair to the people who put effort in.

No offense but you haven't put enough thought into this cup, most people disagree with the way you have run it, basically you have a "my cup my rules, piss off if you don't like it" attitude, darKz won his group, so he SHOULD go through, just cuz the others didn't play him that's totally unfair, darKz is NOT a random player like "8ton" he is a very active, and very well respected player in the community, and you go and disrespect him like that?
I know he says he doesn't care, but I know he does he just doesn't wanna make a fuss.
And if this happened to you Avi, I would stick up for you also, so don't think twice otherwise.

8ton is a person i found on tus members list that had no game/ no forum posts, i used his name as a test to put him into the cup, (while i was experimenting on how to replace darkz, and seba)

You know fine well if he was in your group, or another group, he would have played his games, and probably win them all, or most of them.
End of story, this is why he deserves to go through, but instead, you give 2 players a by... At least he PLAYED a game, so it should be worth it.

Like you said, you could have put yourself into darKz group, and he would have played you, and possibly beat you, and then go through.
You never even gave him a chance, it's not his fault he couldn't find his opponents and darKz is on ALOT.
