Wow, I saw this yesterday and thought I already approved it, I must have been distracted or something...

I apologize to everyone that I didn't think about the inevitable lag with Wormnat2. I should had provided scheme number so that anyone could be able to host with HostingBuddy. In future tournaments this will be sorted out. Though I cannot guarantee hostingbuddy's behavior.

Now there's something that I don't understand, why would Senator, deliberately interrupt the ongoing tournament for ''playoffs'' with lalo? Couldn't Senator wait instead of requesting one of the participant of the tournament to play with him? I find it distasteful and unethical at how a moderator could just be allowed to intervene with the competition. Indeed it is all good and well that both lales and lalo agreed to postpone the match, but my point remains, arrogance and lack of principles should not overrule the fundamental laws of respect.
Senator & Lalo's game(s) weren't even reported at the time of this post.
I just want to try and understand Senator's reasoning, that's all.

If that's true and Senator pulled lalo from the Tournament, that's pretty bad.
Tournaments are supposed to be played and finished there and then, it's the whole point.
PO can be arranged for anytime.
I know someone will try to pathetically argue this, don't care.

We had agreed a week ago to play the playoffs this Saturday 18-19 gmt. We were already way late with the playoffs cos it's been hard to schedule a date and a time. lalo can play on weekdays only when I'm already sleeping and on Sundays he can't play at all. Two weeks ago we couldn't find a date at all cos I was away that Saturday. We agreed to play last Saturday at 18-19 gmt but lalo didn't show up cos he had other stuff. lalo offered me a free win but I decided to give him one last chance and try again this Saturday 18-19 gmt. If he hadn't showed up last night, I would have moved myself to the final (cos Walrus was waiting in the final). lalo showed up around 18 gmt but I was in other game and said let's do it 19 gmt. He then signed up for zar tourney. We started playing at 19.45 gmt when lalo finished with Kradie and said lales can wait. It wasn't my decision to postpone the zar final but if lalo had played it, I would have needed to play at night or take the free win.

Hardly anyone even plays these days we don't need such stupid deadlines.
The problem is people not being able to commit, and this just goes to show it even further...
Honestly, if you lot put as much effort into keeping your word and making an effort as you did arguing...
People saying they too busy in life, what, sitting watching TV? Drinking at pub with friends? Having sex? F**k off lol... Obviously work is more important because you need that to pay bills and survive, so anything you do in your free time it's all the same, if TUS isn't important enough for you to make an effort, then maybe you should think about not entering Cups/Tournaments/Singles PO, that's why I quit/swap players in Cups when I find out I lost motivation or don't have time, rather than make people wait or whatever.
The truth is if he couldn't meet the deadline, you should kick him, if not, don't use deadlines... Instead you choose to delay another event, nice one.
I want to change my Twyst Tournaments, but I made a commitment, so I have to live with that, sometimes other peoples happiness is more important than your own.
When you think about it though, it's not even a big deal, whoop dee doo had to wait an extra day or something lol, I guess in this small community we should either stick to our deadlines, no extensions ever, or be more open to delays/re-scheduling and give people more time, we can't keep saying 1 thing and doing the other though...

My problem is that Senator had the audacity to desync the tournament. When you join a tournament you take responsibility, and stick with it, because people will be counting on you to see it through. Senator didn't respect this at all.

I understand Senator trying to get the PO finished in time, within the deadline, personally I find PO more important than a Tournament in the grand scheme of things, but people have like what, 2-4 weeks to play PO, while they have 3-4 hours to finish Tournament.
He may not even think, maybe the MOD, cuz it's going into last game, want to make some other plans with family or friends and say "sure will be about 30 minutes", and now he has to wait longer because of this selfish act.
Or 100 other possible reasons maybe...
Correct me if I am wrong, but the most insulting thing here seems they didn't even check if you were happy to delay, they just went ahead and done it anyway...
And considering lalo already failed to meet his PO games the previous week, you should stop feeling guilty and just deal with it like a proper MOD, I don't mean to belittle you but grow some balls dude... Cuz I bet lalo wouldn't even care lol he's man enough to accept consequences...
Edit - Sen, how about introducing a penalty scheme for PO, if someone causes delays and doesn't get games done on time, they forfeit the next PO? But then again, we are short enough on players to be doing stuff like this...

lol guys. Why are you saying I chose to delay the zar tourney? It was lalo's decision to prioritize playoffs over this tourney. He could have as well decided to give a free win and start playing with me. Should I have refused to play or what? lalo should not have signed up for this tourney in the first place cos he had already scheduled the playoff match with me. We had agreed to start between 18 and 19 gmt. At 18 gmt I said let's start at 19 gmt. I didn't know he went and signed up for this tourney. I guess he just wanted to play some games while waiting for me.
lalo was still willing to play the playoff match so I didn't see a reason to kick him. We had been in talks all the time. He just failed to show up once, that's all. Because of time zones and lalo's work we had this unfortunate situation that only Saturday suited to both.

To continue: I was in belief we will start our playoff match at 19 gmt. I warmed up for 15 mins and then asked if lalo is ready. Then I found out he is in zar tourney. I waited for 45 mins and was ready to wait even more but lalo said we can start. He was going to make someone wait anyway, me or lales. You can't blame me for this situation.

I could say to lalo to play and end tournament but it wasnt too late, and I didnt want to Senator keep on waiting 1 hour more.
I let both played PO games then, dont blame Senator and lalo.
