Good job! Very creative and beautiful terrain! My favourite object is the Ring Bell.

I missed an object with Heisenberg's face. Example:

Also, there is no custom bridge. Maybe it could be something like a highway.

Will you add this terrain to wkTerrainSync's wiki page (https://worms2d.info/WkTerrainSync)? If not I can add there for you, but the thumbnail would still need to be made.

Thanks, I mostly did it as a challenge for myself. I don't really play worms much these days, but if someone is motivated enough to add more objects to my terrain I put all files needed for that in the first post.

Do you think it's good enough for the wiki page?

What do you mean thumbnail? So I guess I would need 2 pics, one transparent background for wiki thumb and full size when you click on it? I'll attach it soon to this post.

My skills on image editor programs suck and terrain making seems a bit complicated to me, so I don't have much experience on this to contribute to your terrain or to create terrains.

About the wiki, you can add your terrain to the wiki table like the other ones there. The images are like you said. One is a preview thumbnail and the other is a large image. To create the thumbnail, there is a guide made by Oscardianno:

I also thought it's a bit complicated lol, but if you watch all videos on the Terrain Creation Page it's not that difficult. SpriteEditor is a pain in the ass though. But if you follow instructions on terrain creation page you can learn it in 1-2 days. It takes longer to save pics than to learn how to create terrains.

I've included files in the first post so anyone can edit later, maybe not you, but maybe other people who going to learn to create terrains.

I followed guide to create thumbnail, here they are in attachment, so can you add it to the wiki?

Update: Sibasa uploaded it already.

Title: game crash

the icon of this terrain is making the game crash when opening the level editor

Yes. I recently encountered an error when opening the map editor. As it turned out later, this landscape became a source of error.

Therefore, I would ask the author to correct the error as soon as he has the opportunity :)

And also I would like to ask everyone who uploads files for public use - check your files 200+ times before uploading them to TUS, so you will not encounter questions, bewilderment and claims from other players.

Thanks :) hf

It works perfectly fine for me and many other people... I've seen people hosting with it. What seems to be the problem?

Without your files, I have no error. With your files, I have an error in the map editor. Now you have to think why? :D

200 downloads. 2 people complained. I played with other people who hosted using my terrain with no problems... Unless you know why specifically it makes your game crash I can't fix it. I don't even know what I'm supposed to be fixing lol. wkTerrainSync has problems I guess. I just downloaded my terrain again and installed it on a clean install of Worms Armageddon GOG and it works fine. Here are screenshots.

I have an idea... Have you updated your TerrainSync to latest version??? i think i's version 0.0.9 or something like that if I remember correctly.

Doc I'm sorry but I have the same problem as well, while there are people that can make your terrain work.

Let me give you how does it work for me:

1) A host makes a map with your terrain. My game automatically downloads your terrain. We play, everything is fine.
2) When I must generate a map, here's where the game crashes. Emeraldplay suggested that maybe it's the icon you chose that it doesn't work. Unfortunately there is no way for me and for other people to solve the problem.

This is nothing against you, don't misunderstand our words, I know by myself how hard is to make a terrain (SpriteEditor is useful, but sometimes it can make things harder and it's never explicit directly about the problem when it gets stuck). But it looks like we have this problem. My wkterrainsync is the newest one. Maybe some more expert guy can tell us what's the real matter and why some players can see your terrain and work on it perfectly and why others don't. I am even amazed that there is so much difference between games, shouldn't it be the same for everybody?  :o

EDIT: nizikawa posted like 1 second before me, so yes maybe it's definitely the icon. It's easy to test: let's try a new icon and see if it's the terrain or it, and then everyone can fix their own copy and make your terrain work :)

EDIT2: I have tested it, it's definitely the icon that makes the game crash, because I have substituted that one with mine from the theme "Heaven" and I can see your terrain.

This is a strange one.  I can't replicate the crash myself but I converted the terrain icon to BMP to check it out:

Dimensions are fine (64x64), but I noticed a couple of things.  It uses 16 colours rather than 17 (with first colour as black for transparency).  At first, I wouldn't think this would be a problem.

But then I noticed the positioning of the image within the orange border (as displayed in the land generator screen) was different from the source BMP; it's like the game was centring it perhaps because of all of the transparency in the icon image. I'd not seen this before.

So then I added an extra colour to the palette (now 17 colours).  This extra colour was not used in the image.  I then tested it and bizarrely the game now doesn't change the positioning of the icon image.  I then removed the extra colour, taking it back to 16 colours just to be sure something else wasn't happening, and the game reverted to changing the positioning again.

So... long story short, having an icon that doesn't have a 17 colour palette makes the game handle/display the image differently.  Best to stick to 17 colours.

I've attached the new text.img icon image with 17 colours.  Give it a test and see if it fixes it for those who are affected.

Anyway King-Gizzard let me say that making that small map is very complicated! Without SIBASA I couldn't have published my SPQR terrain, and both me and doc made the same stuff with that icon, so where is the problem? Where is our mistake?

I can't explain why it crashes for some people and not others.  The only thing I can say is that the BreakingBad terrain icon only had a 16 colour palette and it's likely that the game expects a 17 colour palette even if the image uses less colours.  Did you try the new 17-colour icon I attached to see if this fixes the crash?

I was surprised to see that the game positions the exact same image differently if it has 16 colours compared to 17 colours (check the amount of empty space to the right of the word "Breaking" in the icons I screenshot).  This further supports the idea that the game expects a 17 colour palette.

It is really fiddly sorting palettes and working with Sprite Editor. Hopefully in a future update 'Level.dir' files can be replaced with 'Level.zip' files and .img/.spr can be replaced with .png.

Here is the video for creating the icon in Photoshop: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/985634698812338176/1007387532524269688/Video_2022-08-11_213439-1.mp4 (https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/985634698812338176/1007387532524269688/Video_2022-08-11_213439-1.mp4)

I didn't try it yet (will do that soon), but that video was not only useful but also hilarious :D you make a folder with my name  :D :D :D

The icon with 17 colors seems to have helped the people with crashes, i'm asking more people to test it. Btw I didn't know you need to click Recreate SPR IMGs checkbox in the sprite editor. It doesn't say so in the Terrain Creation Guide.

You don't need to especially if the .IMG/.SPR doesn't exist (it will always be created).  I just tick it out of habit to make sure Sprite Editor creates the files regardless of file date stamps.  If .IMG/.SPR files already exist, Sprite Editor only re-creates/overwrites them if the corresponding .BMP has been modified since. It's usually correct but I've seen a couple of instances where it hasn't re-created the files despite a .BMP update.  I'll update the guide as it's a good precaution.

Good news on the icon. I updated the guide making a point about the 17 colour palette, even if the icon uses less colours.

Please do, for me it's the hardest thing to do while making a terrain. :-*
