I think that's allowed, like when u suicide by fall damage. At least there's no specific rule regarding that :P

Yeah, the rules don't say anything on it so I assume it's allowed. Just seemed like a bit of a lame move which I was surprised at from Wally.
If I hide on the ledge above then it's our game. Lesson learned for next time.

This was a very well executed suicide, and great tactical thinking, vgj wally :)
But I guess it is kinda lame in the nature of fair play, not the players fault, it's a loophole in the rules, should it be allowed or not?

You were too slow to w2w as well. It wasn't lame when you didn't even attempt it though, the turn before, imo.
4 sec rollers aren't great tactical thinking, that is why no one has ever congratulated them as such, has nothing to do with me or my viewpoint.
Anyways, this thread has gotten off track, it is about my legendary coward play that owned the pants off of your worm, not your bng style.

Well actually 4s are still a good tactical choice if they are done right, just as your "lame move" was done at the right time, I use them and compliment them when done right.
In fact, what you done is worse than a 4s roller, both in terms of fairplay and skill, I still thought it was nice because it was executed perfectly.
Throwing 4s roller nades when opponent has a hide where you can't get a direct 3s or 5s LG, and when it's also impossible for a bounceback to get them from behind, but when these shots work, they are beautiful, not to mention sometimes your only choice.
And to add to that, it's annoying when you have done about 7 variations of nice shots, some trick some normal to kill your opponent then they hide in a stupid hide and 4s roller is your only option, so you use it, then they start complaining about you being cheap... They are the ones that forced you to throw a 4s roller by hiding in a stupid place so whatever...
4s rolling grenades have never been cheap when used properly, you can pull off some beautiful shots with 4s min bounce, what's lame is people throwing them all game like dropping a coin down one of those 2p machines at an arcade center where it's full of other 2p coins and you gotta bounce around the spikes and hope it lands in a place where it pushes the rest of the coins off...
I imagine the problem with your move in the Roper is the fact you didn't w2w, that's what's "lame", yes you used a loophole within the rules, you never done anything "illegal", you pulled it off perfectly, but still, you can't fail to see why spleen17 feels cheated surely lol.

but yeah less rules, less restrictions, more possibilities, more smart and genius turns (like in kaos and drown, go play them)

one day you decide to go by rule book, another day you only want to use it as guidelines, next you go by rule book. lol
if today was a using rule book as guidelines kind of day, that would be illegal.
you can not use weaps in ANY kind of aggressive play, either on your worm, or your enemy worm until you w2w.... you can use weaps to gain retreat time, not to be aggressive. that was always my interpretation of the rule, and i think many others...
but, today the rules will not be used as guidelines, and it does not cover that exact situation anywhere, so there for legal :D
if i were a MOD, i would suggest a RM... and update the rules... cant blame walrus for trying it (and obviously getting away with it lol) but c'mon.
it would be a damn shame if this is how ropers are going to end from now on.

first of all, i just seen this in recent topics, i had no idea it was a year old, thought it was a recent game... but either way... your acting like im the only one to question if it was legal or not..
i never said it was illegal... not once... i just said it most likely should be, and my interpretation of the rule is, you should w2w b4 you make any aggressive plays.
but, im a believer that you should w2w no matter what, even if you f@#! up the start of your turn, and need retreat time to go w2w...
anyway, its just my thoughts, and my opinion, if i knew it would fire you up like this, i would not have said it...
i even said i dont blame you for doing the play, being its not in the rules lol... i guess you just read what you wanted to read in my post though, i dont blame you for that either :D

I just have different views on w2w, I think w2w should be completed during each turn, regardless if you f@#!ed up the start... no body f@#!s up the start of a turn, then skips crate.. so they should not be able to skip w2w either.
I also think w2w should be completed before using any weap aggressively.. that's just my opinion, feel free to disagree, but I never said the move was illegal
