Title: Game #37852, Reported by Chicken23
Post by: Random00 on September 03, 2010, 08:01 AM
gj there, chicken.
Your roping improved a lot the last weeks I think. Very few mistakes in this game.
and kinda bl for Zippo that Chicken had no crate (iirc) on the right when he hided in the middle and Zippo was on the left.

C23 roping is really strong indeed! It shows that it was not totally random (lol) that he won the tournament in the Olympics ;p @ Zippo complaining about him hiding on top: it`s seen by most players today that its "illegal" and lame to hide on top, but earlier it was very common and few had anything against it. Personally I think it`s a choise of tactics, and you should respect his way of playing. You won`t complain if a person hides all his worms on top of an elite map, would you? :p C23 always plays for the win, and if he has to hide on top in order to do so, then why not? I repeat, it was NORMAL to hide on top some years ago, so why should it be any different now?

He wouldn't have complained about it if he had been winning. ;)

I basically think that there is just one scheme in the Classic league where style matters: and thats BnG. At every other scheme you should just try to win with any tactic that suits the rules.
So, I'm a fan of hiding on top, because its just more intelligent to do so if you wanna win. And if you prefer playing with style and not for the win, you can still play funners ;)

There is a tactic of increasing the chance of collecting cr8 and making an attack that turn. I hide to my roping ability ;) This map was a hard map. In some cases id stay on the same side. Thanks for the comments.

Sometimes you really do come across as a genius :)

The main reason I agree with this, is because in BnG, you are anchored, you only have Bazookas and Grenades as weapons, nothing else, so it's pretty boring if you do what I think we all know by now is the lame shots, and far,  FAR-FAR-FAR, too easy...

Hiding on top in a roper isn't neccesarily an advantage, most people won't do it until they see they have a big enough lead, and you still have to be a good roper to get to THAT stage, at least with that though, it's still fun doing the actual roping to a crate etc...

The people that do it don't do it everytime they can anyway.
