lol he wins /
Donelorix 971 before the game.
lales 665 before the game.
Donelorix gets 26 points, lales loses 45 points! :o
Is this correct or is it a bug maybe? And if it's correct - according to what logic? I hope HHC can explain that.
huh good eye Rok!

It's correct. Donelorix doesn't get much points because he beats an 'easy' 665-guy.
Lales loses to a guy whose skill is less than average (beneath 1000), so he loses more than the average amount of points.
So when once you dive down to 600-ish score, you're pretty much doomed to stay there for the rest of the season?
How many and how good players lales now needs to beat to come near 1000?
So I assume (correct me if needed) that you consider these scores representation of skill - how it makes sense to lose "above average" points to someone who's more skilled than you? The difference here is almost 400 points, that's quite a lot, isn't it?
Agreed, that's kind of wrong lol.
Imo lales should loose same amount of points as i got or even less...
makes sense to me.
check his overall stats.
elite is lales' worst scheme (for now).
he starts with 1000 season rating for elite,
so losing 41 season points just means he's getting closer to 639 (his elite skill level)
there's nothing stopping him from improving his elite skills,
and whenever he starts winning more elites, he will be rewarded with the appropriate points.
What you just said makes no sense to me, though.
Here's how I think it should be:
He starts season with 639 elite skill level.
So he's getting/losing whatever points he does, and that's getting him closer to his CURRENT SKILL (which you can't know before he plays any games).
There's nothing stopping him from improving his elite skill,
and whenever he starts winning more elite he will be rewarded with higher elite rating.
What makes you think the rating in season 2 (the one you don't know how be doing in) should be aproaching the rating from season 1 (the one you know how he did) in the first place? That's basically meaning we're projecting current results on the past ones, which is IMO flawed to start with.

agree to disagree I guess

Not really. Lales will get more points than others if he beats people. But he isn't gonna do well if he keeps losing to people whose point-rating indicates newbie or below average skill level.
