Classic Season 22 ends Thursday, October 27th 23:59 GMT

Singles:
Round1 deadline - WEDNESDAY, November 16th (20 days)
Round2 deadline - TUESDAY, December 6th (20 days)
FINAL deadline - MONDAY, December 26th (20 days)
Clans:
Round1 deadline - SATURDAY, November 26th (30 days)
FINAL deadline - MONDAY, December 26th (30 days)
If only one side is making good effort to finish playoff games, that side will advance.
If BOTH sides make poor effort to finish playoff games, BOTH sides will get kicked out.
Any player who fails to finish their playoff games and is kicked out will be disqualified from the next playoffs.
After that, they are free to qualify again.

Well for other participants in the Playoffs it is good, but not much of a punishment, but then again, what would be a good punishment?

It`s a good and fair punishment in my opinion, it well reflects upon your previous actions and eager you to do more of an effort next time

Leagues -> Your Settings -> Playoffs participation: Uncheck the box if you don't wanna take part in the playoffs.
please use that in the future then, as it can affect every player in playoffs.
