Ok so I just woke up and its 2:30 am, I'm too scared to go back to sleep, because I don't want to see nightmates. Share your dreams with us. Let me start:
So my dream was like a movie, but with actors who I couldn't know by appearance. Only the Protagonist was me. I remember last few "minutes" of it:
Me and my friends were in a house party, we were having fun and all, somewhy I was holding scissors and made a sudden 180 degree turn just about to run without looking what was infront of me. Next I yell "No! It can't be!" and see my dead girlfriend lying in the floor with scissors sticking out from her forehead. Comes the next day and we are somewhy dancing in a dance studio with all my random looking friends again. I see a hallucination of my girlfriend (Yea, the one I just accidently killed the day before.) standing in the corner having a sad face. I run to her and hold her in my arms and tell her: "I could never harm you." and she replies "But I am already dead." and I hold my eyes closed and don't want to open them, because I just knew I would see her dead face. instead, I wanted to wake up.
That's all I can remember.

Seems like a pretty clear dream though, easy to analyze.. that will make it less scarier :)
I love having dreams myself. Especially when there's buildings involved (churches, monasteries, cities, gardens, etc.). I remember I had one a while ago where I was leaving a city on a horse and as I rode through the city gate I looked behind and saw the feet of a man they hung on the gate. It was pretty gruesome, but an awesome sight as well :-[
I also get dreams about catastrophes a lot. You know, where I look at the sky at night and see the moon. And then the moon starts to descent and starts falling. Then it collides with earth and a huge tidal wave comes crashing in :o
It's even better when Jesus or some divine stellar force plays a part.
Last night I dreamed I was at a theme park which had all these tiny little shops. Was pretty cool too.
Most of my dreams are about high school though, where I go like 'OMFG, you gotta be kiddin' me' at the teachers.. you know, the kind of thing I do when the crates are rapin me. :D
Or about finding something totally awesome at a store (usually it's some huge D&D-kind of boardgame).
Or about nude girls :-[ (they are the best).. or about spiders creeping up on me while I can't move (they are the worst). :(

Ah I have disaster dreams all the time too HHC.
I'll keep these short:
One, is like, the sky has went all sorta red, and tornados start everywhere then everything just starts floating into space.
Aliens, I have so many dreams about alien invasions, one of which takes place in a place that looks like the 1st level of Lylatwars for the N64...
Plane crash, and I try to get there to save people, but when I get there, theres no plane, nothing actually happened...
AvP, I have dreams about Alien Vs Predator, sometimes it's the film, sometimes it's the game, cool though xD
Quite weird because of the Japan quake, I think this had some reason for my recent dream of being in a HUGE earthquake which involved my entire family.
The most common dream i've been having is train crashes, and M3ntal has been involved a few times, but like, not in the crash, i've been on my way to visit him, one of the most realistic ones, I was on train with my Mum Dad and Brother, and the brakes slammed on, my dad just got up raised his hands and said I love you all, then WHACK, almost instantly, I was outside, absolutely NO ONE in site, and there was like 10 different trains lying all over the place, in some sort of scrapyard under what appeared to be Roman aqueducts, then it's like, I make a phonecall, then immediately i'm walking down this road, towards a stadium, a HUUUUGE stadium, you can hear like millions of people roaring, theres floodlights flashing in the air, flashing colours, thousands of people marching towards it, but no one is actually talking, but I have this feeling of so much power and excitement, then I wake up...
I love lucid dreams, this happens often for me, it usually happens when I wake up through the night, then go back to sleep, and i'm sorta half asleep half awake, whatever I imagine I can see and feel, guess that's why they call it the 3rd eye lol.

I can still remember this randomly occurring dream I had several times in my childhood.
I was in a pretty tiny room playing with an unknown cat. The cat grew bigger and bigger and bigger, until I had no more room to even breathe. Then I woke up.
There's gotta be some meaning to these kinds of dreams, but I never bothered investigating.
Edit: Oh, I just read "lucid dream" in Komo's post. There's nothing more awesome than lucid dreams, I had some of those already.. Been talking to NAiL about them a lot in the past. :)

I guess it's different for everyone. Words like cat have all kind of connotations. To some they represent evil (black cats), to others love and being loved. And everything inbetween really.. Best thing to do is just think of 'cat' and look at the images that pop up in your head, or the feeling that you get.
Btw, I had some choke dreams too. I woke up out of breath :o
I don't think I ever had lucid dreams. Not the way you describe them, that's for sure. Closest I've come is being awake while my body was still sleeping. That was pretty sweet too. But nothing like dreams or such came up in my mind..

Im into lucid dreaming n all that stuff, and yes the "mind awake, body asleep" state you speak of HHC is truly fascinating. It can be quite scary but the more you do it the more you get used to it and the more interesting and exciting it becomes.
For those of you who dont know what we're talking about, basically it is possible to stay conscious whilst you fall asleep. You're not aware of it, but your body and your mind are BOTH conscious and they behave independently. Do you ever wonder why you sometimes take ages to get to sleep and will constantly shift and move in bed? What is happening is your body is "asking" your brain if you have fallen asleep so it can shut itself down. Your body will send an impulse to your brain telling it to move. If you are still conscious then you will move, and your body will not shut down. However, if you lie in bed COMPLETELY still, and resist the urge to move (which will become extremely hard, even painfall at times), then your body will be tricked into thinking that your mind is no longer conscious. If you manage to stay still long enough, you can literally watch your body fall asleep and watch as you leave reality and enter the dream world. I cant think of anything more fascinating than this, watching as you leave one reality for another, incredible!
This is known as the gateway state. From this state you can enter a dream (if you remain conscious) and it will usually be a lucid dream. A lucid dream is a dream in which you are aware that it is a dream, and can have full control of the dream allowing you to literally do anything that you can imagine (depending on the level of lucidity, they vary).
This is one way of inducing a lucid dream, there are however many other ways that I wont go into now. If you are interested by this stuff (which I cant see how anyone could not be) then there are many videos on youtube about lucid dreaming, sleep paralysis and obes (out of body experiences).

Nail lol, have you seen the American Dad episode where Steve has lucid dreams when he sees a red ball, and Hailey and the goldfish trick him into thinking he's having a dream, omfg that's epic !

Ok, I had a girl in my dream that I want to f@#! her. When I try to f@#! her my dick was getting smaller and smaller. At last, my dick is disappeared. It was kinda nightmare but I loled when I woke up. XDDDdd

Lol, I don't even need to explain how good lucid dreams with girls are, sometimes it's weird though, like, I don't get to choose who, it's either a random girl I don't know, or an ex or some girl I know from work or a friend of a friend, but then I start controlling it, and I know I am controlling it it's weird sometimes like that...

Dave, last night I dreamed I was in Scotland for holidays with my sister. I remembered Komo is somewhere around here.. And I think I was trying to contact you but it didn't work for some reason. :(
Nothing spectacular in the end, just thought I'd share since I can remember it now.. Who knows about in a couple hours. :P

I rarely remember my dreams... I remember one reoccuring theme though, anyone else has big dick dreams? Where you dream that your dick is somewhere around your face and you could like easily suck your own dick? I had this dream a lot of times. ;D
Also, one more reoccuring theme is a sex palace with some nasty stuff and women all around and boose and drugs and heavy metal music... Go figure out my fantasy. :D

I often dream i lose my teeth lol, i feel a tooth falling then another then i spit all my teeth lol its f@#!ing horrible.
i also often dream that i fell down the stairs, the good thing is i woke up immediatly :D
ps: i also dream im a prisoner on camelos tent ;D

I have those a lot too. Guess it has to do with feelings of inadequacy.. you know, being unable to make a difference in a situation you don't like to be in. Can't bite when you don't have any teeth. :-[

mostly i remember situtions in my dreams where I try to run away from something but i feel like my legs weight 1000kg each so i run like a statue or dont run at all :D or i feel like i run but im all the time at same spot :O, other thing is when i dream that im fighting with somebody, i smash mofo with 100 hits but i cant harm or even reach his nasty mouth. I also sometimes dream that i fall down from very high point and wake up just centymeters from the ground. The most annoying thing is when I dream that i try to fly but its always very hard but 1 time i did!!! daamn it feeled good :D, the rest of my dreams are just 2fooked up 2remember

i just also remembered that 1 time i wanted to kick something very hard in my dream so i did and next thing i woke up and WTF? i just realised that i kicked wall really hard ;O

At least I was being honest... :P I sometimes have falling dreams too, when you just fall and fall and it never ends, gosh, that's so great, when you wake up, such a funny feeling in your legs and everything. :)
Nude dreams? When you show up at school with no clothes on? Sometimes I dreamt combinations too, I was falling nude out of the sky. :D
And yea, one more thing I usually dream, it's this helpless feeling, when I have something to do but I can't do it! It's a horrible feeling, I picture myself sitting, unable to stand up and I can see a watch going and I'm running out of time, I can't stand up, can't do anything, that freaking me out usually. :-X

Nude dreams? When you show up at school with no clothes on? Sometimes I dreamt combinations too, I was falling nude out of the sky. :D
haha yeah forgot about these, had them too, couple times, 1 momment i just stand in the hall and talk with my friends and suddenly :OOO where are my clothes?? and i start to run to my home to wear up but i cant escape the school :<<<<
and 1 time i had really scary nightmare, there was no frightening situations at all but i was walking across the street next to my flat, and i just felt like in old pc game where are invisible walls in the end of map, and i couldnt go somewhere else and was starting to think that im never going to escape, that i`ll spend the rest of my life in that small "box" and it was really really long dream, i think i`ll never forget it, it was one of the biggest relief i ever felt when i finally woke up.

some of the dreams r just nasty. like when I was in the army and every othernight I saw dreams where I went home and no more army for me, but then I wake up at our garrison.
same with when u r broke and u dream about having money so u can buy birthday/christmas presents for ur brothers, sisters and parents. and u wake up facing the fact u can't buy them presents ):

another time while I was dreaming I'm in the swimming pool the alram started to tinkle and in my dream it was lifeguard who started to whistle, to get ppl know it's time to leave the pool :P
and I like dreaming I'm falling in precipice, nice feeling!
and it's really rarely when I remmeber my dreams, but I often had same like rash with teeth and same with running like theredi :P

Straight up the weirdest dream I ever had, and I swear I am not lying about this, I was around 13 I think:
It started out like the film "Predator" that kind of scenery in the Jungle, not with the actual Predator or Arnold or anything, just that type of place, I was walking around and it turned into a sort of maze, I came to a dead end with a brightly shining golden trophy resting up on top of a small pillar, I tried to pick it up, the very second I tried this, I immediately woke up, ran to the bathroom and threw up...
I got back to sleep, and wtf, I was exactly where i'd left off in my dream, this had never happened before normally dreams always return somehow different or in another place but this one returned to there, so I was walking about and found another shining golden trophy and when I tried to pick it up, I woke up, went to the toilet and threw up again.
So I wiped myself up cleaned my mouth and drank a shitload of water and went back to sleep, it started from where it left off again, I remember in my dream telling myself to wake up cuz I was actually really scared now, I didn't want to look for another stupid golden trophy but I eventually ran into a dead end and there was a trophy there upon a pillar shining brightly... I turned round to run away and it was a dead end, I tried to wake up but I couldn't it was so f@#!ing real, it seemed the only choice I had was to try and pick up the trophy, so I picked it up and actually managed to pick it up this time and it just melted in my hands the whole jungle around me melted away, I woke up and was sick again...
This time my Mum was fed up cuz I was keeping her up all night and we sat up and had a talk for some hours, then I went back to bed had a normal dream and woke up the next day as normal...

When I was a kid, I think around 7, I had a repeating nightmare of something squeezing me to death, I was waking up all sweaty remembering the horrible squeezing feeling in my belly, but I never knew what exactly was the dream about. Years later I watched the movie 'Who Framed Rogger Rabbit' and it hit me: I had the nightmare because I watched the bad guy getting run over by a roller in the movie. :)

I've had the falling down one a couple of times I can remember like...
Sure some people are exceptions and they'll rarely dream exactly that. But I didn't made this up, various books and sources report the same.

I just had a dream I was given the mission to kill everyone in enemy's base. So I went to their compound and untied the knots of their cover. Then I see them all in panic running around their base because they dun hav no cover that would protect them from my airstrikes. So I kill them all with air + napalm xD

before the dream: in my old appartment, my bed stood with one side to a wall; i was lying on the side to the room, my girlfriend next to me on the wall-side;
my worst dream:
the same situation; i dream that i wake up from this, the room looks the same, my girlfriend is still lying next to me. i did not recognize this is a dream. i look at her a while, watch her sleeping and breathing. then i turn to the other side. the room is not completely dark, because the moon is shining in through the window. i recognize a person standing in front of the bed, not moving but staring at me. it is my girlfriend. she has an awful expression in her face. i realize that i can still hear her breathing next to me. this moment was so frightening, i'll never forget this. i quickly turn my head to the right, where my girlfriend lays. her eyes are wide open, and she's looking at me with the same scary expression. i start screaming.
back to reality: my girlfriend wakes me up. she tells me, she woke up, because i was screaming while sleeping..

I was once swimming in some lake or river and I saw a crocodile coming after me. A rope ladder appeared out of nowhere above me and I started climbing, barely made it, the croc jumped out of water after me, soooo close, missed my legs for a bit! I woke up screaming and kicking like mad, my girlfriend next to me seemed just as scared as me, too. ;D

I woke up with some weird shit today...
I was at this building complex with people walking around scavenging anything they could find that was "useful" and my big Brother was one of the "workers".
One of the rooms was mine and the place was a bombsite man it was a total mess, so then it was nighttime and my room was all neat tidy with a cool bed then I was having sex, don't need to know about that part, but like, I feel asleep in my dream and woke up in the morning and my room had no walls the girl was gone and I was tidying my bed and the workers were scavenging inside my room cuz it had no walls, so I got annoyed and wanted to speak to my Brother.
So I found my Brother and I was sort of lying down/sitting with my elbow keeping me up (if you know what I mean?) and I was basically telling him i'm fed up with this house it sucks the workers annoy me, I don't even have any walls ffs, then I seen a scorpion on the floor and no sooner I seen that one I noticed a little one crawling up my leg, I had this intense feeling of fear knowing if it stung me i'd die, I know it's a scorpion it obviously was, and right then my Brother screamed "Ah look out it's a tarantula" and just as I looked back at the scorpion it jumped at me and landed on my shoulder/neck, I instantly slammed my neck tight against my shoulder trying to squash it and I felt a sharp sting...
I woke up for real actually having somewhat a fit, I had my neck and shoulder locked together and I couldn't stop shaking for like 30 seconds, it was f@#!ing scary man I was almost out of breath, then my gf came through like "wtfs going on?"...
That was the most intense dream i've had this year... It was SO real man...

well this night i got a real weird dream which shows how much wa influences my life.
the earth got threatend by aliens. really nice effects there, and CF sent a squad to eleminate them. it was finnaly Cueshark who decided its better to make peace with em, so the dream got an happy end. btw the aliens looked like in the new X COM Shooter, where Philie showed me the trailer.

I had one or two months of an interesting repeatedly dream, didn't dream about it every night but at least once a week. It was always about the earth getting destroyed by something, I can't really remember what, I think it was a meteor. However whenever that 'thing' hit the earth everyone died and I didn't want to die but I did so I woke up, not like a nightmare. I just woke up because the dream ended there.
So one night I died but I didn't wake up, at first I was like well umm... shouldn't I stop being aware of myself? I am dead after all! There was nothing around me everything was just black. And then I started to realize that I am dreaming because I didn't believe that death is like that. And then I got really confused because I always thought (in the dream) that if you die in a dream you wake up. After that I woke up.
Was really interesting for me. ^^
