Ah good stuff man, keep it up ! I quit smoking last Friday, my Gran passed almost 2 months ago with Lung Cancer, she was diabetic...

Anyway, myself my mum & my cousin are all giving up trying to raise some cash for diabetes, I haven't had a single smoke since last Friday, and I think I can safely say I will never ever smoke again, not even weed.
Title: Re: time change something.
Post by: Statik on November 15, 2013, 04:26 AM
Diabetes is usually inherited, I don't know if it is connected with smoking, but a healty lifestyle will definitely help.

Didnt you komo quit smoking earlier? Or was it alcohol?
Title: Re: time change something.
Post by: TheKomodo on November 15, 2013, 01:07 PM
Yeah it was alcohol I quit but I did quit smoking cigs but I was smoking pure weed still, then I ended up smoking again about 3-4 months later cuz weed was costing too much and I wanted money for music stuff, now i've quit everything, I don't drink alcohol or smoke anything anymore.

I will have the occasional drink at a special occasion though, I just don't go out at weekends to get pissed anymore, I really don't see the point...

Yet you drink IRN-Bru :D.

Aha, i've quit drinking fizzy juice also ! I am drinking water only when at work and diluting juice when I eat, I am hoping to eventually drink water only entirely.

I plan on eventually having a healthy balanced diet too, but baby steps you know...

The one I met? :(

Yeah it was my Mums Mum, it's sad of course but good at the same time because it's been a real wake up call for me, and of course it's brought back alot of great memories of my childhood, I really am changing my life right now, trying my best at least...

The biggest bane of my life right now is being addicted to games, I am seriously considering going to therapy or something so I can never play games again...

I am drinking Water only for the past 2 or 3 years, its great once you get used to it. And on special occasions like b-day you can drink some diet soda which will taste like gods honey. xD
Title: Re: time change something.
Post by: TheKomodo on November 15, 2013, 09:41 PM
Oh yeah, it's only been a few months for me drinking water & the odd diluting juice, but I had a can of irn bru cuz there was no bottled water from this shop, and holy crap it tasted like heaven lol, I had quit smoking for 4-5 days too so increased taste helps too :D

Too bad Komito. She looked very healthy to me, much more than your dad imo. I still wonder if he did something with his large photo collection of eyes.
Good thing you quit IRN-Bru, that's just sugar bottled, ruining Scots teeth since their childhood. I quit fizzy drinks a while ago too, unfortunately it's cheaper to get a bottle of pepsi than bottled water over here.

Do something creative everytime you have an urge for a cig.

Through last week everytime I had an urge i'd force myself to do some situps, cuz it get painful so a way to punish myself, yet it's useful at the same time...

If you like smoking, np go ahead if you want. But if you hate yourself a bit for smoking, dont give up fight for it! Write down the amount of cig to a notebook or smth. For example you smoked 30 cig first week. Tell yourself "next week i will smoke at least 1 less cig than this week. " And do that. Do it until you reach zero. You can do that. My dad did that. Dont be the slave of those f@#!ing cigs.

Oh such a surprise to read this topic, Rogi. I'm planning to stop smoking this year and my goal is to stay at least 3 month without a single cigar. I've been a cig smoker for 9 years now, in a regular daily basis. I'm almost 28 and I started with 19 years old. I used to like to smoke but I realize now that I smoke cause of fixation during certain activities during the day, like a coffee, being used to it and chemical vicious mostly. I suffered an accident in the beginning of this month in which I broke my clavicle, so I had to stay with one arm imobilized for a while. During this period I started to feel really strange stuff on my left lung, probably due to the lack of movement + smoking under stress cause I had long important relatory to type on pc with one hand on the begining... I normally smoke half to 1 package of marlboro everyday, and when I'm under stress at work/college/life I smoke easily one package. I've got this thinking for a long while now to quit smoking, been at least two years with occasional breaks, like a few days, cause it really doesn't match with my life style, I ride bycicle a lot, I have an active life, I do lots of trails and in the beginning, in the first 5 years of my vicious with cigs I didn't notice any difference on my activities, but lately, specially this year, I started to feel less active, waking up with a urge to smoke and can't sleep without a cigar. That's really sad, cause I never thought it would be that hard to quit or to stabilize a social use of cigs, like when drinking at a bar/party. Some of my friends smoke too. So, I looked for help, had a conversation with a psychologist at college, and I realized that what I really need is a long break, at least 3-4 months, cause it's the period you need to recover your lungs in such way it will bring back your normal condition, your lungs recover totally like you've never smoked after 8-12 months, normal eating frequency and taste... you'll probably gain weight. So, I'm decided to stop smoking yet this year! I just smoked a few minutes ago, but I'm trying not to smoke more than 7 cigars a day, making the package last 3 days, I am couting the cigars since the begining of the month. I want to go to a party in the new year, and I pretend to arrive as non smoker of cigars, that to last. I hope that my decision becomes of good support for you. I'll be focusing in the positives which are really vast. Try reading some sites about quitting and focus on new stuff to do while you take a break, specially with your hands, month, like eating, writing, drawing, brushing your teeth... You have to change habits, and that a good thing man, rediscover yourself. We have to be always in that process to grow up as human beings so that we become stronger, experienced with our inner selves and most importantly, the self independence.

Peace

Good luck with you try dude, and if u will start smoke again or more, just try to stop again. I just understand that no1 unless urself can't stop do it, so you should to want it much. I was addicted to stop smoke when i started this topic(1 month ago). now i give up, i have not stimule, dunno. I have too much shit in my life, sometimes all pissed me off and only cig helps me. Dont stop to tri while u have stimule.  :)

I heard about one interesting method, here it is: suck up some smoke, chew smoke in your mouth for 1 minute. Then all that smoke you need to breath in (in your lungs) and hold it there for like 10 sec, after that you need to cough it out really hard. If you do this for like 0.5-1 month few times a day, you'll eventually hate smoking and you won't get back to this habit anymore  ;)

I can't recommend this method because I don't smoke, but you might wanna try it.

OMG! lol
My method already started, I won't buy cigs anymore, at least for months. I have a box closed, sealed in the top of my table. But I won't open it. When I'm freaking out, like some minutes ago, I try to go and do something, enter the pc, eat something, a walk... and when the thing is too hard, I just go for some pot. But I'm avoiding to do it because of tabacco. But the hell, it's been 8 days. New year party will be tough :P

Hey guys i know im kinda late on this but i have quit smoking weed and cigars for a year now, and i was a 15yr daily weed smoker and a 10yr cigar smoker, my brother who was in the military for 10yrs was a pack a day smoker(cigs), and last year he came back to California on leave for 2 weeks, when he came he brought an E-smoker with him and said it had helped him stop smoking for a month at that time, now he has stopped for the same time as me, well i bought one a few days later and the rest is history.

At first you pay a little bit for the peices you need(rechargeable batteries, smoker, and tank), Depending on what style you want. But they after the first purchase of whatever mod(smoker) you want, the juice is very cheap. i get a 3 month supply of juice for $40 American, as apposed for $40 a week buying smokes.

Here are some examples im gonna link of what smokers i have used and try to explain a little on what you will need to set them up.

These are the smokers i have used and are very good.

http://www.myvaporstore.com/VAMO_5_Stainless_MOD_APV_p/vam5-ss.htm
This is the first smoker i used, and it is great you can turn up the power depending on what kind of "hit" you want, if you like taking bong type rips you can turn the power up, if you like cigaret style hits you can turn the power down. its really nice for when your drinking and you feel like you need more power you just turn it up to what you need and visa versa when not.

http://www.myvaporstore.com/Kamry_K101_Telescopic_Bronze_p/kry-101bz.htm
This is the smoker i have now, and it is just a straight forward put the power to the "fuse" and take a puff, there is no setting to turn up and down or anything fancy like that and it works really good for me.

As you can tell in the price difference it costs and much as you want to spend on them depending on what you need/like. If you can i would recommend the vamo for first time users ad after that you will know what you like/want and can go from there.

http://www.myvaporstore.com/Kanger_Protank_2_p/krpt2-k.htm
These are what you put your juice in and put on your smoker(mod) you will only need to buy one of these unless you break the glass, you fill it up and depending on how much you skoke will only need to refill it every few days.

http://www.myvaporstore.com/Atomizer_Head_for_Kanger_Protank_EVOD_Unitank_p/krpt-ah.htm
This here is the only thing you will need to replace other than your juice, these fuses are what heat up the juice so you can smoke it, they only cost $1.75 and last about 3 weeks each so that is very minimal.

The batteries are your choice the only difference is the size, i would reccomend
Efest IMR 18350 800mAh - Flat Top [Add $11.85] or
Efest IMR 18650 2250mAh - Flat Top
The only difference is the size and power they hold, if you want to make your smoker smaller the 18350's are better, but if you want to have your batteries last longer the 18650's are what you want. but rememeber you get two with each purchase so you always have a backup.
The charger is your choice, they all work the same.

http://rockytopvapor.3dcartstores.com/
This is the place i get my juice from, but you can get it from anywhere. (I recommend blue breeze and sweet tarts)
Now when it come to juice the world is open to anything and everything, i have tried anything from menthol flavored juice, to cotton candy to sweet tarts, and everything in the middle cinnamon, bubble gum, chocolate etc etc, depending on what you want you can get it.

I know it seems like a lot, but it is very easy and worth it in the end, You dont have to buy lighters or anything after you have bought the kit, the batteries are rechargeable you put them on the charge over night and you are ready to go in the morning. i haven't smoked either cigars or weed in a year, and i don't miss it, i can sit inside and smoke my mod all day and not worry about my breath stinking my house smelling or killing myself. If you need any help send me a message, sorry for the book i wrote just thought id help as much as i can in one post rather than a hundred.

We have some hairs in the lungs, called cilia, they help protect the lungs.

Your cilia are broken down by the chemicals in cigarettes, and needs to repair. You will have a lot of coughing when the cilia repairs itself and brings all the poison up!

How is it going?  :)
