Let's see :)
From the top of my head, special features of Reloaded, clan wars, revolution... WMD..
All can vote for 2 things.
-
water + classes > crafting + vehicles
-
I voted new weaps (there's so many!) + water.
All are nice additions in their own way, but these for me offer the most opportunities for interesting new schemes making :)
-
Buildings, crafting system (fixed version of it), new terrain textures / graphics, ranked online mode and built-in RR mode. Ops, that's 5 :-[ Haven't played other newer titles besides WMD.

" Build-in RR mode (automatic placement, finish 'gate') "
Does this exist in WMD? First I heard about that :o
-
its from all new-gen games (read title) :D

Ah right. Which game has that?
-
Reloaded had it, not sure about CW and Revolution.
-
Hedgewars allows to have per-hog hats, something that none of the Worms titles have
-
Voted for hats and only hats, all bow down to the power of hats. #BRINGHATSTOWA

well, most of the stuff can be done with px.. (or is already available with px)
-
Crafting crates would be good stuff for some new WA schemes.
Would require great amount of strategy when to dismantle/upgrade and on which weapon should it be done.
Playin WMD lately. Still feels weird and slow, but have fair amount of great moments. Soundbanks and ingame music are off the charts.
-
I can't pick just two. I've played all of the Worms games, and currently play WMD a bit. Features that I love from games post-W:A are:
-sentry guns (the ones in WMD are the best!)
-hats
-dynamic water (adds a lovely layer of complexity / strategy to the game)
-worm classes (a lot of people don't like classes, but I think they are pretty great in Clan Wars. The heavy worm could be nerfed a bit, but aside from that, they are well-balanced and it just adds to the depth of typical Worms gameplay)
-physics objects (and girders that are 'solid' rather than treated like a part of the terrain)
-buildings (one of the new things I like about WMD)
-crafting / coin crates (I think that crafting COULD be good in WMD if it were rebalanced / fixed; right now it's a mess)
-so many awesome weapons and utilities in the newer games I don't even know where to begin
-very in-depth personal stat tracking from Clan Wars / Battlegrounds
I personally hated the 2.5D games at first, but grew to really enjoy them, especially Clan Wars. I think that CW is second only to W:A. WMD is a huge disappointment so far. it looks and sounds beautiful and it has loads of potential, but it's up to Team17 to listen to the community and fix things. For now, I barely even wanna play it.
-
I just wish Team17 had sense enough to recognize that all they need to do is keep what is great from their past games and just continue to build on what is good and liked rather than trying to reinvent the wheel every time they make a Worms game. If they would fix WMD and somehow make it able to support dynamic water, it'd be insanely good.
-
Hats ofk.
-
WA used to have ranking (and supposedly will again...), so that's not really a new feature.
There are some good new weapons like the bunker buster, sentry, gas gun, and lightning bolt, and the dynamic water was a good concept, if crudely implemented. Looks like I voted with the majority here. :)
-
All of these except not shitly implemented.

If greatest coders of the world gathered and asked me what to add on a perfect WA:
> Hats. Because we love swags. You don't like swag? Just like you can turn off background and water, add a button to disable viewing them.
> Missions that teach you some scheme essentials like roping etc. So you'll have some skills when you play online.
> Some tutorial missions you must play before league or other schemes online so you won't join a Shopper game and shoot zooka around.
> Special scheme mechanics. Auto placement and finish gate for RR, Project X WxW(Walls change color after you touch them), your weapons act as /boomracing on WxW if you didn't touch walls and/or get a crate, auto placement and auto score count for darts etc. etc.
> Built in Worms Wikipedia, so you can learn schemes n shit.
> Integrated TUS, ONL, WO etc. If you get certain achievements (new rank on TUS leagues, medal on WO etc) you get special swag! Golden zooka, glowing rope, you name it!
> Real time gameplay for new scheme opportunities. Real-time racing, arena fighter(10-15 players, all against each other, real time, zook n rope, you don't lose control when you get hit but only die when hp becomes zero), and many more possibilities.
> Forts mod, with ability to use your own forts! Your fort needs to be approved before in case some people use nude, gore image etc.
> Improved random maps mechanics like MapGEN, RRGEN.
> Custom missions, being able to make custom contents. Just check how far Skyrim went thanks to fan contents. New weapons, new terrains, new possibilities.
> Being able to rejoin a game after you drop. Rocket League has it, why not WA too?
But here I am, staring at screen and dreaming one day devs will bring awesome features and WA gain popularity.

sadly ranks will never come back
-
I was joking when i said hats
Some people are serious
-
Matchmaker? :O is it in new games?
-
Triad, you forgot the possibility to spectate ongoing games ;)
Tomi, in WMD there's "matchmaking" for 1vs1 ranked games, except it just gives you the first available opponent regardless of the ratings.
-
Lool :D

Interesting to see water get the most votes. I wanna learn to program something like that in the distant future. Also, you want a hat in my game? I'll make it so you have to draw it yourself you lazy foo.
