Title: Scheme #4418, Surf Punch submitted by SIBASA
Post by: SIBASA on March 31, 2022, 04:01 AM
When I was creating and testing a map for an ordinary surf shopper, this idea came to my mind, which I embodied in this scheme and the map for it.  I think it will be fun to play :)

p.s. I don't know if there was something like this before, but I did not find anything in the search

I didn't even know Fire Punch could be used after skimming. Interesting idea, it's original indeed.

I just felt that the map has too many targets, so the game can take a while to end. It's a bit repetitive, so less targets would make this a quick different scheme to play between other schemes in WormNET. It's also a good scheme for competitions. One more thing about the targets: it seems a bit easy to miss your team's target and hit the enemy one, so maybe a bit more space between them would be better, but maybe that would make the scheme less challenging for players to aim well.

Anyway, congratulations for this new concept! It could fit very well as a Board Game task too. I liked that you made one comment for each player turn in the replay.

Previously, this was only possible with the TestStuff mod, but with the advent of version 3.8, this will be enabled using the Rope-roll drops function

Yes, the map can be improved, experimented with the number of targets and the distance between them, but in my opinion - the likelihood that you miss and destroy your marker and thereby add points to the enemy team - makes the game more intense.

Due to the fact that the game can take a long time - you can agree with the opponent before the game how many points you play. For example, up to 18 points with 9 gravities included (depending on how many points you play up to - only half of them can use gravity)

Thanks!

P.S. This can also be done with a bungee.
+ If you make a map with high targets and walls on the sides to push them off, then it will already be Fly Punch

Well thought, makes sense.

This variant would be interesting. Maybe from bungee (fly) makes you gain +3 while on regular surf gains 1 point, all on the same map.  It would be still a bit repetitive, but with more possibilities.
