I wouldn't play it NC. The tourney was played, the medals handed out. There's nothing wrong with giving a freebie in semi's instead of a 3-way final. There isn't a rule that prohibits mods to do so.
Just because FFie likes to see otherwise doesn't give her the right to overrule a perfectly valid tourney result submitted by the MOD. The tourney was played, nobody disagreed with how things went, medals were handed out and that's it if you ask me.
But of course it's your decision. ;)
Hm, i just realized that FFie wrote something there... thought the mod messed it up... wonder what that would lead too though, if i win vs. NC it still can't be determined who takes gold, silver or bronze as every1 would have one win and one loss then.
