Hi everybody.
I don't know if it has been posted yet, but there are so much threads to find it out. <.<
Well,
I just installed W:A on Windows 7, and the problem is the game is hardly (totally ?) lagging (in game though, even offline).
So can someone please help me ? :-X
Thanks,
xDragonfirex.

well it lags me too, but not that much and often... Weird, 12-year-old game (or don't remember, cerrect me, but I guess it was 1998) and it lags on new computers :P
That's good that at home I still use win XP :)
EDIT: and it still lags as hell while skunk! ;o

I installed on Win7 and no issues. Have you got the latest patches?
-
In fact the only issue I had was constantly inverted colours due to the changing wallpapers. Fixed by ticking just 1 wallpaper so it doesn't change.
-
Yeah last patch.
The thing is it's hardly lagging, not like if it was 1 little lag every 10sec.
I don't know Windows 7 at all, so I have no idea on how to correct it...
-
Is it a raw windows now or you have some programs running on background? Some programs like Fraps can cause insanely screen lags.
-
I also had lags on Windows Vista but they somehow sorted out themselves fortunately without me doing anything... but that won't help you much i guess. :) You can try to run w:a on higher priority by opening the task manager when you started w:a, right click on wa.exe and setting priority to higher than normal or high. I wouldn't set it to realtime as it may slow down your computer then i think.
-
i had legs problems when playing too, but cos of the chair, was f@#!ed , oh porra my english sucks i think i got it wrong sorry.

I'm afraid there is nothing at all. <.<
Or at least, only the ones needed for my computer to work well.
Anyway, I have 4Go memory.
Can't be the problem. :/

Hahahah.
Abnaxus, you tried my tip? I remember i downloaded some script also that kills explorer.exe process when starting w:a. As i said i can't tell though why at some point the lags were gone... it seemed like Vista somehow recognized that w:a was actually a process that requires some processing power, so maybe setting the priority might work for you. :)
-
Turn off the background.
-
Seems like it worked Chakkman, thanks very much !

Nice. :D

whats ur hardware btw man? bit old or new one?
download the tool process explorer and take a look at the I/O graphic when playing it, if possible post it here, check the use of CPU b4 play and playing it, memory isnot a problem, WA doesnot alocate much anyway.
post the results here and maybe the king can help you.

Gne ? It's like chineese for me. xD
How to do so ?
-
download this tool http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx
then take a look at graphic of CPU usage, and I/O. in and out data. take some print screen of all process for me , minimize the game and take other print, your computer might be running something weird and when u run the game, the processor cant handle both and game lags.
