Title: Can´t start worms - Error

Hi,

I get this error when starting worms: D3DxCreateContextEx failed: Error C8770BC3 (Unknown: n/a)

Worms was working till the last nvidia update, or windows update. Not sure which one caused it.

I have a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070.

What if you enable Direct3D9 via Tweaks\Renderer_Direct3D_9_Shader_Palette.reg ?

Hey Steps,

when I use "Renderer_Direct3D_9_Shader_Palette" or "Renderer_Direct3D_9_Software_Palette"  --> CreateDevice failed: Error 8876086C (D3DERR_INVALIDCALL: invalid call)

when I use "Renderer_DirectDraw_8bit or 32bit!" --> the screen gets black like it would start the game. When i click with mouse I get "Graphics initialisation error"

used the Extended frontend hack
The menu looks quite shitty now xD, but its ok, in match looks good.

Your new graphics driver no longer supports 640x480, so you can't run the game only with the default settings.
Also do not download wkSuperFrontend from that link, it's outdated. Instead, download the new SuperFrontendHD 0.4 that I released this week: https://www.tus-wa.com/forums/worms-armageddon/wksuperfrontendhd-0-4-released-(with-hd-graphics)-27448/
I will now remove the old version from the old server.

I just fixed the same bug (D3DxCreateContextEx failed: Error C8770BC3 (Unknown: n/a)) on this notebook and I'm very happy, so I had to share it:


(I got v3.7.2.1 Update before (https://worms2d.info/Updates_(Worms_Armageddon) (https://worms2d.info/Updates_(Worms_Armageddon)) (direct: WA_update-3.7.2.1_Installer.exe (https://worms2d.info/files/WA_update-3.7.2.1_Installer.exe)) and no Steam)
