Is there a option for not be notificated of new replies in a specific topic?

just read/open threads that you actually want to read, then hit 'MARK ALL MESSAGES AS READ' on the top right, to clear the rest that you don't care about. it's what I do.
I always do it, but sometimes is annoying, thanks for answer.
