Title: :: FORT SCHEME ::
Post by: Spaazi on June 11, 2011, 07:35 PM
Well, I like FORT and I know I could pick it in Free league...
However, I hate almost every other schemes in Free league and it's much harder to find one.
I believe it's a strategy scheme (position, bng skills etc) and it would fit very well in classic...

What do you think?!  :)

is a very good scheme, but THIS official scheme of tus sucks(my opinion and other ppl i had talk...) and Forts isnt a CLASSIC scheme, isnt played so much, and hte gams are longer than bng...

Yeah revamp the current Fort scheme to make it faster-paced, make clear rules on the map size (there are HUGE Fort maps which would take literally hours to finish) and I'd love it. :)

Well, hysteria isn't a "classic" scheme either... When I left worms 5 years ago it wasn't even existing!
Also, forts would become much more popular by adding it to classic.
And it's a good option for those who like to throw but not just nade/zook and don't wanna stay "static"!

Good point Dark, just like every other scheme, you insert it as a TUS official fort scheme, making the rules clear and don't accept big forts maps, just like big rrs arent allowed!

Forts was actually around before BnG(I think...), I vote yes, I love Forts :)

Great idea Spaaz, +1

Actually I have an idea too, why don't we try and replace BnG with Forts in Classic? That way it'd still be balanced default/rope? Or you think that's a stupid idea?

Good input, Komo. Just replace bng with fort.

+ There is a clear area for both teams. No "to close teleport is possible".
+ Doing it without rules makes talking about "lame", "notching", "repeating" etc, useless.
+ No static positions which makes the scheme open for tactics.

I'd love this idea, cause "tus bng" just suxx and for me there is no real satisfaction in it ;d

Fort is cool, so as simple as that: yes I'd like to have it in tus scheme in order to play it more often in a serious level :)

I can say the BEST cup ever the zillians enjoyed in CwC comunity, was 2v2 Forts...

But our scheme isnt like a "bng forts"

*Sd start in 10 minutes, and water up speed is medium
*We use, in cups, just 1 or 2(sometimes 1 diferent for the final) made for us, exactly to the game hav good hides and tatics, making fair to players dont use a map which just 1 of teams know
*Seeing the cups we played in past, we had good teams, and veery diferent tatics, some players waiting SD and protecting, some teams finishing the game before SD start, some teams being 1 v 1 worms at final,  with water level higher than possible, and one of the players using a zooka bouncing in the water to win! I can say is a awsome sensation!
*All were 2v2,so 2 worms per players, 4 for teams...
*I really can say forts 2v2 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 1v1

About the cup, i think ,coz the "moment" is better i host right now to show you, and get your own opinion about...

I think today or tomorrow i will host, plz,say yours sugestions about this

TY

Ah! One more thing:

To get more emotion, games are Bo1, who win, won, who loses,lost...This is great when water is on the top...

And this is the scheme: https://www.tus-wa.com/schemes/scheme-442/

Im just bumping this for you SPW so more people see it :)

Does anyone agree with this? Replace BnG with Forts? Think it's a good idea?

Post by: Maciej on June 12, 2011, 07:18 PM
It's bad idea. Not everyone plays in forts, for example me, don't really remember if I have ever played it on w:a except WO.

I wouldn't replace bng... I like bng :)

but still, I used to love play forts on wwp, where each team got their own castle. It was totally nice!

I still remember... "NO INVASIONS!!" ;D ahh, lovely, noobish wwp times! :-* :'(

The point isn't to replace bng at all! We would simply add the scheme to classic league :)!

if I recall correctly, fort was removed from leagues schemes years ago, because virtually nobody played it

Make forts the next scheme of rotated league and see how it works :P

Forts is already possible for TUS, it's just that almost nobody plays it.

True. I've never enjoyed forts, but neither BnG. If I have to choose between 2vs2 Fort or BnG I have a slight preference for fort (seems like more fun talking trash and stuff  :D).

Fort on W:R, now THAT is fun.  :-*

komo, bng came before forts... being the super hero of bng, i thought u would know that... bng dates back to w2.. forts does not...

i can not agree replacing forts with the bng scheme, all thought i do hate bng... its not realistic to jump to such a conclusion just because some drunk f@#! comes up with the idea to put forts in classic hahaha <3spazz

besides, the main problem i see with adding forts is map raping... it just wouldnt work, not to mention what darkdoctor said, the scheme was removed because noone played it at one time..

FORT

I had the same idea about fort replacing bng in classic but I thought the idea too radical to catch on.

so many fans of forts shocked me ;d
Last time I saw hosted forts half year ago in WO, ppl almost dont play it, if you need new scheme for classic, add kaos, or mole shopper ( I hate mole shopper but its tactical and pretty popular scheme)

Ah Husk, you just made me remember an awesome game, there was a game on the Apple Mac years and years ago called Battletanx or summin, such an amazing game, it was kinda like BnG, you pick your side, and throw diff kinds of missiles at enemy, man I loved that game...
