Title: Intermediate ne1?
Post by: Dr Abegod on September 04, 2016, 05:22 PM
Hello folks.
I was wondering why the intermediate scheme is not in the classic league. I mean.. it's the default worms scheme. Compared to other classic league ground schemes (elite, t17) I think (and I think many would agree) that it's strategically more complex, and it requires a greater variety of skills. (e.g. knowledge of all the different weapons included in the scheme).
Is it because of its duration that it isn't in the league?
I would also like to propose activating TRL: Intermediate. Anyone else in the mood for this?

I agree, personally I would remove Shopper and t17 and replace them with Intermediate and Big RR.

-->  Remove t17 and replace with intermediate

I dont like shopper, but like keeping the proportion 50/50 for ground/rope schemes.

Would have to be BO1 though, BO3 can take quite a long time, potentially over an hour.  Also, BO1 intermediate can be quite lucky so there would be variance.  Intermediate isn't the greatest fit, but probably better than t17.

Also, all this talk of removing shopper and t17, you will make finland cry.

Too late for changes  :(

It really seems like there is broad consensus here. replace shopper with intermediate.
Im not sure about calling shopper a "rope scheme", and the res way more luck dominance here than intermediate bo1. Maybe let players agree on bo3 if they got time?

What is to stop such change?

Nah got to keep it as 4 rope schemes 4 ground schemes.

Then replace t17 (the shopper on ground) with inter? Could we make a poll?

There's Elite and putting an easier difficulty and more luck based scheme wouldn't be a good option. Maybe look around in the scheme list, see if there's anything worth interest, like BuildConv... #ShamelessSelfPromotion

You should compare it to what it's replacing and not a third sceme which has nothing to do with this. Which is less difficult and luck based - t17 or inter?

I would say that Intermediate is more skill based than shopper and Team17.
