Title: TEL
Post by: Shifty on August 19, 2012, 02:31 AM
WO imo have renewed or sparked new interest in schemes that have died out. Ive noticed more activity in elite, both in myself and others. many who did not play are now starting to play, and veterans are playing more then ever. maybe you could try bringing tel back to try it out for another season?

eeeliiiite ^^

yeah, only reason I think TEL shut down after Season 9 was because barely any games were being played comparatively. the TEL activity dropped a lot each subsequent season, so it could easily be seen as a dying league. the too many seasons in a row could be at fault; the minimum 50 game limit being too high after too many seasons in a row could also be at fault. maybe people taking the league for granted thinking it would always be there could also be seen as a fault.

if activity can come back somehow, whether through staggered TEL seasons/breaks, or less pressure to play so many games, or something else  -->  then you have my vote, TEL anyone?

WO its not like "wow I will play elite because I start to love it again!!! " There's big competition between clans, contries, players, all need points and thats not about if you like this scheme or not. I promise if you return TEL back it will be even less active

We need an Elite League and we should drop, like franz and others said, the game limit to match a playoff spot. I'm also thinking about a minimum of games every ea member should do to keep their membership in it (and only ea members are able to play eac). This would give some fire under each ass for being to lazy. Communities like ea having a big responsible to keep their scheme active in leagues. Without it, I dont see any point to stay around tus anymore. Then it probably comes out to an external league, like "wel" in the past. But it would be the much better way to hold it on tus page. You can compare it with Intermediate and ONL. But as I said, every Elite Addict has to do his job!

I'm optimistic there is a way with tus cause the elite community is still there and active enough (check EAC 2012).

Activating TEL is just a matter of clicks for me but there's been some tweaking in the leagues along with TUS2 which I'd rather to plan our future with that. Less than 2 weeks please! Right now I'm in a pool of bugs.

we alrdy had tel, people got bored... the amount of games showed that there is no reason to keep it active. just keep trl and have the option to vote as elite amongst the other schemes

I found the problem with TEL was all it took to make playoffs (not that i ever did) was to be active and there was little competition or excitment for playoff spots.

If the number of playoff spots was only 4 places i think it would create alot more competition and encourage activity.

On the other hand, people may not play as much because feel they don't have a chance to make those 4 places.. Basically for the activity of games that it recieves. There should be a ratio to the playoff spots and games required, which would be alot lower than classic league.

I don't think that TEL is needed. We have TRL, just add elite to option. I don't understand why elite was treated better. I prefer ttrr for example ;)
IMO we could pick shorter time for TRL league, for example 3-4 weeks or 1 month, so we won't get bored in one scheme. And as Chicken said only 4 places in PO.

How about a true TRL? ie going through all classic league schemes in succession.

Thinking about shopper trl is kinda shitty but I guess if we make seasons 1month long then it could as well work.

Any thoughts on this idea?

if you read only about the "1month" thing.

I also said to have every classic league scheme in TRL, changing every month without voting. 1month wxw, then bng, then elite, then shopper etc. So we know for the whole year the scheme in TRL every month.

eac doesn't prove Elite is active enough to guarantee an own league.

You can host a Worms Golf tournament and give money prizes and people will still sign up in masses.
