Title: wouldnt this rule also work for tus?
Post by: Peja on August 13, 2012, 10:15 AM
some people still feel getting cheated by wormkit modules (well basicly it is cheating  :D)

anyway wormolympics made a rule which could be easy integrated  into tus:

"WormKit modules:
You are not allowed to use any WormKit module that gives you any kind of gameplay advantage (finding crates, etc), unless the tournament's description specifically tells you to use one (e.g. Rubber schemes)."

NO  :-\

(As if a yellow exclamation mark would make your "no" more relevant.)

Yes, such rule would obviously work here just as well as it works at WO (how well, that's another question).

It is not possible to detect cheats and the standard crate finder doesn't help at normal sized maps where u see and find the crate anyway without wasting time like in supersize shopper maps or multicrate schemes at bigger maps. Crate finder can't show what is in the crate btw., so it is just silly to use it in standardsize maps, theres no advantage.

agree and easy to moderate as the game tells you if someone is running rubberworm before you light up correct?

I think if all players watch the map and the crates before, /arrows would be useless but yea, i think that should be a rule

I think this is discussed in the topic opened by Mablak, but anyway, I'll post here.

Yes, this should be a rule, as it changes the game. Of course, exceptions for those with disadvantages - such as Chelsea's condition of being partially sighted - should be given.

Yes add this rule.
There is much more cheat modules, you are looking only at /arrows (crate finder stuff), I heard there is something that you can see the private chats and the weapon that your adversary took in the crates.
Only 1 bad thing in adding this rule:  I won't be able to host..  :'(

Obiously, the hosting aid should be allowed...

while we are allowed to use wormkit for hosting aid, we can go to offline match first and write /arrows and then come to wormnet, no need to write anything, the crate finder is still turned on

pointless, i use arrows because i have tiny screen and i always watch tv during game. But if i turn it on in a funner and then 3 games later im playing tus no one knows its even on.

hmm crate finder never bothered me when my opponent used it, but i can see how small screens and getting high can be a disadvantage
