Title: wkJellyWorm Discussion (by nizikawa)
Post by: nadiya8040 on May 24, 2021, 04:48 AM
A Project X-clone module is in work by nizikawa.
So far, we have been able to add custom weapons to the game. Custom gamemodes and LUA scripting may become available in the future.
Source Code of wkJellyworm: https://github.com/nizikawa-worms/wkJellyWorm
By the way, you can also drop the custom weapons idea for this module in this topic, and I'm sure we will look at it.

I believe this module can contain all of the Worms Unlimited items and weapons, including the Bowling Ball.
More information about Worms Unlimited is here: https://worms2d.info/Worms_Unlimited

The gameplay video can be viewed here:

Bingo! I manage to export the sprites and the PX-code of the Fan from ProjectX!

I hope this will help to add the utility on wkJellyWorm.

If Project X were to become a simple to use wormkit module, maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan! That would be great!

An another weapon I manage to export the PX-code and the sprites, The "Lightning Strike".
Plus there's the icon for "Worm Strike" by GRAND RADION and Deadcode.

I had few weapons ideas to share for this module so...
Chance Metronome's description:
Metronome seems to make a randomized difference in the event that the user is swaying their finger to the metronome tick. It may have an offensive effect on the worms in front of it, a healing effect on the user, or the user may be hurt by itself if they're unlucky enough. Yers would consider making tweaking this regularly fun device a weapon subsequent to playing a monster-taming game, and he got a motivation for it. The Chance Metronome was his first custom-made weapon, and it was sold all over the world.

-----------------------------
In spite of the fact that i don't know how to get custom weapons through containers on this module,. However, not just that... How precisely do I add new functioning custom weapons to Jellyworm scheme? That is the significant question...

There's more weapons I manage to export the PX-code and the sprites, The "Special Grenades":
Unlike the other PX weapons, those weapons are just modified versions of normal WA weapons (and probably easy to make since it doesn't use custom sprites).

The files are NOT to use it or install, I extract them from the PX libraries though Notebook (the PX code) and PX Library Editor (the sprites) and hopping someone will manage to make them into wkJellyWorm.

I'm actively working on wkTerrainSync and wkToolAssist, so this module's development is on hold. Once i'm done, i will backport some code and use newly gained knowledge of the game to make further progress with this module.
Thank you nizikawa for your respond. I and Nadiya (Orange_ball) will wait until you're done working on wkTerrainSync and wkToolAssist.
Take all the time you need.

That is exceptionally disheartening, awful and disgrace... I recently heard that wkJellyworm is currently a dead project... I wonder who is adequately caring to proceed with the said project or make another project based on Project X for 3.8.1.0...?
Edit: Oh no wait, Simply have people groups proceed with the undertaking. That will be preferable.

It's even worse that 3.6.31.0 is unstable and likely not compatible with Windows 10....

It's truly sad that this Wormkit module is abandoned...
Right now I'm trying to learn to add some weapons so I can convert some PX Weapons for wkJellyWorm.

All hope is not lost; there may be people on the Worms Armageddon Discord Server who can carry on Project X and wkJellyworm's legacy.
As EdoComics mentioned, I heard a user is learning how to make wkJellyworm weapons work and is currently recreating Magnet, which could potentially work like in Project X.
I am confident that the new 3.8.1 version will eventually return to Project X-level modding fun!

In addition, I just updated the new suggested weapon list for modding; scroll up until you see it, just in case they missed the new ones.
