Title: [solved]is worms2d.info still a good reference? [answer: yes.]
Post by: aik on October 30, 2015, 02:00 PM
When somebody new in wormnet enters rule-requireing games - I like to send them "read worms2d.info" - (if I manage to type it before he gets kicked).

As some of the information on worms2d.info is outdated ("proPACK-rule", dead links, ...) and i.e. Tomi's  Newbie guide book (https://www.tus-wa.com/forums/worms-armageddon/newbie-guide-book-26874/msg220168/#msg220168) is present - I wonder if that is a good practice.

Also: I'd like to update some of the information on worms2d.info, but get the impression it is planned to let it die slowly.
Is that the case? Or should I update? Where to point new players (maybe shortlink for Newbie guide book)?

As title of site says: "Worms Knowledge Base"
You are able to edit, add, create whatever you want. Every knowledge about worms is important for newbies, and this site would help them.

It's a wiki, so you know what to do now.  :)

I visit it almost every week, one of the best sites for WA ever to be made, if not, the best...

It is as up to date as people keep it. I always update the pages related to me when ever I make changes / updates. If new rules have been made it makes sence to add them. (Though I would avoid removing anything just because it is "old", maybe move it in to an "old rules / previous varants" section, as it's a good record of the history of play styles.)

Maybe someone should add this scheme editor http://www.blamethepixel.com/schemeeditor.php (http://www.blamethepixel.com/schemeeditor.php) on worms2d.info?!

With LTK's editor it's probably only one still in function. Should have it's place in worms info page.
