Thoughts?
Wooting 80HE or Wooting60HE.
Then, Keychron V3 or Q3, with baby kangaroo switches.
After that I love the older corsair models.
If you can wait a few weeks Kradie, I'll go live with ALL my keyboard and show you them and their differences.

I promise, you won't get a better review and detailed analysis of roping keyboard anywhere else lol.
Okay thanks for those recommendations. I just wish those had media controls. I am such a sucker for those tbh.
Look forward for that video. 8)

Oh, it will be a live stream especially for you. Focused on you getting the answers you are looking for.
This new corsair K100 I have is pretty lit - really responsive low profile keys. I would say the wooting has unreal customization and is probably the best keyboard for worms atm, I just didn't want a partial 60-80% keyboard or I would have probably went that direction. I had been using a nice fnatic on before that - I like cherry switches for roping. I really do miss the old ps2 keyboards like IBM rapid access that had springs - just enjoy the feel.

Yeah, I'm also a fan of full-size keyboards. A year ago, I bought a K70 (it has media keys btw @Kradie), and I am really enjoying it.

yeah I used to have the k70 - it has the best wrist rest ever and it endured 20-30 spills on it before it gave out. Is a great kb.

I actually do have the K70 Pro I've been using it for a year and it is really nice. Prior to that I had HyperX Alloy Elite 2 but it is currently shelfed but it is built like a tank though. In any case I doubt there could be any better kb out there than this K70 that also has media keys which is a shame. I never really understood the appeal and necessity for small keyboards.
The wrist rest is nice btw.

k100 better for sure than k70, can do wired or unwired, built in memory for hotkey profiles and rgb settings, and lower profile keys. It lacks that GOAT wrist rest though, I sure miss it
I ordered Keychron K5 SE RGB with red switches. I wanted to go for K17 Pro but the keys doesn't have shine through key caps. Anyhow I may use this keyboard mostly wired we'll see. I am kind of excited to try low profile keys again.
Wooting 80he I believe is the best, I'll do a live review when I get it.
Right now for rope racing and warming it's the wooting 60he.
It lacks enough buttons for f keys so not good for battle schemes.
Wooting 80he takes care of those cons.
I'll show you all when I get it.

What switch type did you go with - optical or mechanical? I read optical reds are particularly sensitive on this keyboard which is great for roping but not so much for actual typing. I was also considering this model but decided to try one of those cheap RT keyboards instead.
I got the optical red ones. I read that too that these red ones are super sensitive. But I never had problem with my current keyboard Corsair K70 Pro, and its Cherry MX Red switches. Though I think it might be a bit unfair comparison? Maybe I will encounter a lot of problems while typing with this new keyboard, but let's not forget it is also low profile, which is something I have to get used to. Ultimately if it turns out that this keyboard isn't all as I hoped it to be I can easily return it.

Quote from: Sir-J on July 19, 2024, 01:08 PMQuote from: Sir-J on July 08, 2024, 11:38 AMI got myself this one (https://www.xvxchannel.com/products/xvx-g75-rapid-trigger-gaming-keyboard-dedicated-magnetic-switch-75-wired-mechanical-keyboard) for only 57$ and will test it out when it arrives.
I got this keyboard today and it's amazing - rapid trigger works and I feel no latency whatsoever. I'd say it performs just as well as the DrunkDeer while being two times cheaper. Software is decent, fairly easy to understand, took me maybe a minute to figure out how to calibrate keyboard, activate rapid trigger and set actuation point. Build quality is good - keycaps are thick and look reliable, gasket mount construction makes for a softer typing feel, keys don't wobble at all. One minor complaint though - spacebar is a little loud, but that should be fixable. Also it's worth noting that this keyboard comes with TKL layout, which for me is better than a 75% simply because there's more keys. In fact, this is the only RT keyboard with TKL layout that I've seen, so it's unique in that way.
All in all, it's a great keyboard for roping with the latest technologies built into it for only 57$. So why spend more? Though you can definitely spend less, because, surprisingly enough, there is a cheaper model available on aliexpress - VGN A75. Same features for 10$ less, worth checking out. They just keep getting cheaper!
Thanks Sir-J I'll check it out!
You should do some proper reviews like I've been doing, but I need to make mine shorted and edited because they are too long and detailed.

Excellent Sir-J, thanks.
Unfortunately that is Amazon.com you showed, which is for America, I need Amazon.co.uk and it seems like they aren't on there.
But, you know me, I have a keyboard collection and I always want MOAR! :D
So it seems Sir-J has removed all his posts just like Masta did.

Well, I've officially ordered the Wooting 80HE, sadly won't receive it until mid November but you can bet I'll be doing a review!
