Title: SHOPPER
Post by: Big-Worm on April 04, 2022, 11:57 PM
Hi everyone,

I used to play shopper back in 2012 and have totally forgotten how I used to be able to do so.
I was wondering if shopper is still a thing, and if y'all could help me figure out how to get it going again.

Thanks

Yes, Shopper is still played a lot. It is probably the most successful scheme of the game, developed by the community members.

Read more about it here: Shopper article (https://worms2d.info/Shopper)

Don't forget the rules:

Crate Before Attack
Attack From Rope
Kill The Leader

You can send a private message to the host by right-clicking on its nickname and type the rules this way:

cba afr ktl

or simply:

cak

Ok because I went online and found no shopper game going on.
What do I need to download to host a shopper match?

You need wormnat2 to host Independently. Instructions on next link + download.

You need Shopper Maps. Place in WA folder user saved levels.

Shopper Scheme. Place in WA folder user schemes.

Sometime I host Shopper myself in AG. Look for my games to. :)

Have fun!

^ forget all this above, just simply go into the channel called "AnythingGoes" and write the command "!host shopper" into the chat, and voilá :D you have a game already hosted, maps and scheme is there, you need a few more commands there and all set to play, much easier, much faster. most of the players on wormnet don't even join into manually hosted games by others, they usually prefer looking for the HostingBuddy hosted ones (:

HostingBuddy is good solution if you don't want to host yourself. But from personal experience with HB it is more cumbersome because if you want to adjust things in the host lobby you need to type a lot of commands. This is why I prefer having maximum control by hosting manually, plenty of people do it. So whatever you decide to do, you will have a good time :)

HB = Nice hotel room.
Manual host = Your home.
