How do you make these maps? Just playing worms, then take snapshot and bah! Battle Race map! :D

yeah =) I have the replay on my wa folder, but I'm not gonna upload it here because it shows all the jumps done xD maybe after the chally expires =)

exactly =D the replay shows me blow up the map so the obstacles/jumps come to life =) but it also shows me testing all the jumps... xD

Drum pizza and I were playing this map yesterday night and got to the vertical girder right at the end and got stumped. I know you have to get into the middle of the right 3 holes to backflip, but couldn't get in there for the life of me, only could get to the top one. A more patient player will have to show me, I try and jump for 5 mins max before i quit out, lol. If you can complete this map in one go without losing your turn, you are both godlike and have altogether too much time on your hands.
Not a bad map though husk, some interesting jumps.

I have done that, it's long process erasing the destroyed soil xD but I figured if u save the map as .png before starting making it, there wont be destroyed soil

Yes, if PNG contains more than 96 colors = no beckground soil will be.

btw I alrdy made a new map but I'm gonna publish it the day I start chally with it... I'm torturing myself xDDDDD atleast time to test it throughoutly to see if any unwanted pixels / shortcuts

Got caught by the 2+ sub pixel jump in your map aye husky? This is the main reason why I'm not even trying some of these challenges. Not going to do 2/3 of a br map only to fall because the worm decided to jump a step on a sub pixel jump. I must say though, you put on a clinic for sure up to that point.

hmmmmmm I wish there was a way to manipulate that luck but no1 hasn't just figured out how... and in future we will know of this way and can prevent such luck factors ruining our challenges =)

I just did a test yesterday on the bump jump under the row of minimum width worm holes on the realfoe map, bottom middle. Don't know if you will know the one, but its a jump where you have to to get last sub pixel to get it right. Your worm can be positioned perfectly to the naked eye and still miss the jump because its sub pixel position is off. I did it over and over and the best I could manage was around 70%. Still might have a go at trying to get a time but there will be luck involved.
Deadcode explained to me the concept a very long time ago (12-13 years now?), I wish I remembered, I think it had something to do with the worm's hitbox colliding with the sub pixels when on the very edge. Should pick his brain on it again at some point to get clarity.

agree. some of the jumps you include in yer doggy maps are just not predictable. so only really no lifer would stick around to try a whole run :D ofc they are all possible but in some cases you cant tell if it will work or not imo, even after 50 times of trying. and when get rewarded with plop then its like ah f@#! it :D

I now know how to make those parts work 100% of time... you need to backflip from 4th edge, will always land you on the next pixel =P

now that I think of it, I belive NAiL, ffc700 and Wyvern and some others used to do this trick in some maps, that's why I knew to try it in this map xD

ffc700 wasn't behind TCB m8, I believe it was Bloopy and several other players contributed alot of making it a very nice website
ffc and wyvern were the only players who uploaded a time to Yoshi's Merciless Island on TCB =P

aeeeee Xan I save the map as .png before start blowing shit up, so some of the destroyed soil is same colour as girders, so if I have blowed up girder bits I have to do it manually because otherwise it would just get rid of some of the pixels inside the girder
dunno if my english is good enough to explain it xD
lmfao I just woke up, the stuff I wrote doesn't make sense because that thing with girders only happens if I play the map as .png, and we were talking about playing the map as .bit... sooooo yeah considering that girder nonsense is pretty annoying I guess I'll try next map working on .bit =P

How do you save BIT as PNG?

hmmm you can first left mouse button the "preview terrain" that shows the objects in the .BIT map, and then right mouse button the same button and it's loaded as .png map, there is better instructions somewhere here in TUS

It can save as LEV and BIT only, dunno how you did it.

k m8 just take a random map that u wanna use for example hyst =) then click the button that shows the colours/objects/bridges, and then right mouse click it aswell =D

Thanks Husky and ssm, i figured it out, yes, it works, resulting map has 97 colors so no background soil will be.
