This thread you can use for smalltalk around eac 2011.
For first, I'm in pm contact with almost everyone who is interested to join this big event. And please, just ask me or Random00 if you have some problems or questions. We can solve every problem. :)
I also want to announce, that some anonymous sponsor was putting some money in the eac 2011 pot. It's $30, that means, that the total amount of sponsors already raised up to $80.
Please help keeping this thread clean from off-topic posts. We will delete everything which has nothing to do with it.

Okay guys, now a deadline comes up. :)
20th of March it will be. So please make your payment until this date. Those which already paid, received a "pm" from me. If you are not sure, just ask me.
Reason for the later start: Not everyone paid yet and Random00 is very busy with University tasks so making the ea-page costs more time than he excpected.
The event will start anyway, no matter of the amount of joinings. :)

A lot of people got some problems to pay via PayPal. So we will expand deadline for one more week to make those payments possible before tourney starts.
I had some Inet problems too and I'm very busy in rL. I'm sorry.

Few people still have a good chance to get in (Free, Dulek, ..). Some have problems with pc issues, holidays or army.
But deadline at sunday 27th is fix. "ea-page" is done and tested, it looks good that we can start at begin of April. :)

Last day for payments. I guess some are in contact with Random00, at least I hope so. You can pay with standard bank transfer, moneybookers, FullTilt poker acc. (Random00 and me) and ofc PayPal. With a screen shot to proof your payment you'll be in before money transfered. Also some special deals are possible with trusted people.
I'm sorry I cant be online this weekend. I got an ill, actually I feel myself very bad at the moment. Please contact Random00 for some last day deals.

Say, is it really ideal to play in PT where rope knocking is off? Never thought about it before, but it gives you greater ability to ropeknock. Like if a worm is blocking a narrow spot, and you needed to get to the other side, couldn't you ropeknock through without it being a technical ropeknock (with ropeknocking off)? Just wondering if anyone ever brought that up before :V.

well the old EliteLeague channel back when ranks existed had no rope knocking,
so that's the main tradition in trying to find a place to elite without it (#partytime)
the question of allowing rope knocks or not:
whether it's better strategically or better for the scheme hasn't really been discussed before I don't think.
your example seems a bit rare though. who would use rope just to get to the other side?
you can already use rope to land into a worm if there's at least a little room above it.. but yeah.

Yeah but if there's no room above the worm's head, you're freely able to knock through that worm when you shouldn't be allowed to ;O. Probably something that would come up 1 in 1000 games, but I'm all about those rare situations. In fact since there's no rule against it, I guess it's something to keep in mind as a sort of trick :V.

I spoke about that with a lot Eliters in the past and the tendences were still: Yes, it is allowed to "slide at the other side" when playing at #pt. It isnt a technical knock, its something like piling a worm while using a rope, which isnt forbidden too.
So for me, np doing this. But as you said, its really a rare situation and you have to think about it cause you will lose a rope for it.

And of course thanks to all others playing this first ea-event until the end. It was a high-class championship with a lot of pro Eliter's in it.
And it was nice, that most of the games were played in time. At the end, we'll find only good's when looking back in a few years! :)
The trophies arrived last Friday so I'll prepare to send it to the begin of next week to you, Random00 and Almog. Also its clear now, which place everyone has after every round. The shipment will come in next days also. First I have to know about the costs for the mail delivery. After this, I will send all money to each winner by one.
Here a little look at the trophies. They arent high quality standard. But it stands well, looks good from a distance and its just a nice thing having it. :)

Looking forward to a next event! But as you see, its not just an organize thing. We need everyone helping us for making an event like this possible. We are really glad that we could play it until the end. Once again, very very thank for being a part of this championship! :)

I was wrong with nino, he dont gets $10 back. Only Top 8 got into payout structure. I'm sorry nino. It stands on the front page of eac 2011.
I did the calculating job and I was surprised about the result. Not in a good way, but yea. Infact, Almog is over the budget and myself too a little bit.
