Hi guys, i just want to know which keyboard are suitable for any schemes on Worm armageddon
(ex: Hysteria, RR, Roper, wxw, etc) My friends have recommanded me this two keyboard and i'll give you link toward them
Logitect G15:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/LOGITECH-GAMING-Keyboard-G15-NEW-NIB-WOW-must-Have-/360414435942?pt=PCA_Mice_Trackballs&hash=item53ea5fda66#ht_2016wt_1042
Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Mechanical Gaming Keyboard:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140654037450&category=33963&_trksid=p5197.c0.m619#ht_2503wt_1042
I do not know which one to choose and I think both are good, but I just want to get one keyboard. So could your help me? And could I be recommaded with any other good gaming keyboard to use? D:
Thanks,
Ghost/Gengar.
I have Logitech G15 which you presented here, works perfectly for each scheme, but now I'd buy Logitech G510 (new version of G15, which wasn't made yet when I decided to buy new kb)
I see. So the Razer Blackwidow is also good gaming keyboard?
Adding on.
Do most ropers use Logitect g15 or Razer, as the one i presented there?
omg there were so many topics about it already, created by you too. Ppl are bored with answring still same things in same topics, so they just won't... !
This is going to be a controversial opinion, but after having tested several expensive gaming keyboards I realized that when it comes to roping, there is no better one than this: E5 Multimedia Keyboard.
I bought mine in 2005 or 2006 for 40 PLN (about $12) and it's still working perfectly (not exactly the model shown above, mine has a numpad and less of these funky multimedia buttons on top)
The keys are working amazingly fast, you are not likely to miss any keypress with it in fast-paced situations.
Still, it's not really comfortable for typing, so I am using a secondary keyboard when I have to write some larger amounts of text.
hi dudes i tink keyboard for rr shud be whith short spase n it has to be in two sections :)
buy a kb without keylock , or a kb which can support more than 4 keys pressed at same time, no need to waste lots of money to buy a keyboard to play worms lol , LW has a list of kb with and without keylock , cheap and expensive ones , ill put some of them later
I just ordered Razer Blackwidow, it wil be tommorow or in friday.
Its a mechanical kayboard, will be good for worms?

Razer blackwidow is a good keyboard, do u buy normal or ultimate version? Or stealth ediction? Normal and ultimate versions are good but they have blue cherry, thoose are better to write cuz they do a very strong "click" when u press it. For gaming the best are cherry black and red (for mechanical kb).
Yesterday i did receve my new Corsair K90, that's fantastic :D

Q. What type of mechanical key switch do the Razer BlackWidow mechanical gaming keyboards use?
A. The Razer BlackWidow Stealth edition keyboards use the tactile Cherry MX Brown mechanical key switches, while the Razer BlackWidow keyboards [not Stealth edition] use tactile and clicky Cherry MX Blue mechanical key switches.
Q. Why are the Cherry MX Brown and Cherry MX Blue keys preferred for gaming as opposed to the other available switches - i.e. the Cherry Blacks?
A. These Cherry MX key switches provide gamers with the lightest actuation force required and the perfect actuation distance for optimal response while gaming.
Cherry MX's difference:
Blue - Clicky and light
Brown - tactile and light
Clear (white) - tactile and heavy
Red - linier and light (45 g)
Black - linier and heavy (60 g)
yea all razers are cool i suggest you to buy this one. i bought razer arctosa, here's pic:

arctose isnt a mechanical one but is also cool
I wouldn't buy any KB without testing it beforehand. The value of a kb doesn't show in the price for roping. :I
I have bought 50 Euro KBs that were worse than my 19,99 ones etc.

That KB has a good space to rope XD but where are directional keys? XDD
you can rope with numpad instead of arrows, no need any remaps

damnit agnus you are the bastard that linked me to the black keyboard i forgot about that.......oh well i guess it didnt have keylock at least.
lol
I just found this keyboard in a charity shop down the road from me for £6. Seems a lot for a charity shop keyboard but it looks like it's in good condition and I think it might be a pretty good keyboard for worms based on what I've heard about about older IBM keyboards.
Can someone who is an expert at IBM keyboards tell me if it's worth buying and if it has keylock etc?
The model number on the bottom said SK-8815.
03-15-12-P1290171.JPG
looks cool
That one has extremely little to do with the old IBM keyboards that you hear about; those are specifically Model M keyboards (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Model_M_keyboard) with a buckling spring mechanism under each key (the reason they're so damn loud). Should still be an above average rubber dome keyboard with decent build quality, though, less likely than modern keyboards to suffer from arrow key and spacebar locks... but I can't say for sure whether it would or wouldn't have it on any of the combinations.
Ah ok. I'll probably leave it then.
; )
Thanks man.
HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
blast from the past!! :DD
cue, that is the first KB i ever played worms on hahaha... that f@#!in things old
it has no keylock, im not sure how great the space is tho, im not, and have ever been any kind of crazy tapper.... they are not rubber dome keys as KRD thinks, only reason i know this is i broke that space bar, and had to remove it... there was like 2 metal spring/brackets under it, that had to hook into a spot undeneath b4 snapped back down...
i never got it to connect correctly after that, and just had to get rid of it... but RIP to it..
i think for 6 bux u should give it a shot dude.
I'll see if it's still there next time I'm in and get it then. Maybe it will be good for Dj Max as well.
;O

You mean exactly like all spacebars have, regardless of whether they're mechanical, scissor switch or rubber dome? :D
im not a keyboard pro...
but no, i dont mean exactly like all keyboards have...
my logig15 did nothave it, and my current gateway kb does not either....
Hoho I just bought the same keyboard yesterday that is on the intro pic.
Should seen me guys.
I liked the space on the keyboard on the pic cos its slim, but it has keylock and just horrible arrows so I connected my Blackwidow also and used it for arrows..
Meaning I roped with 2 keyboards at the same time.. felt like this is bit too much addiction. :D And also felt like Neo
That's the Logitech ultra thin or w/e? I looked into but ended up getting this instead on some advice and its great (see link below). It has the low profile almost laptop like silent keys which are a necessity for me as I cant stand huge clacky keys with a 1cm deep keypress. Also as far as i'm aware there is no keylock for roping, although I have no idea with the arrow keys and space as I use numpad and remapped space and it works fine. Also its fkn cheap as f@#! and a great solid keyboard that you can spill whatever liquid on without damaging it. Also it has a standard full layout so none of that trying to fit 1000 keys into a tiny space by f@#!ing up the layout you see in some ultra flat keyboards.

lol - You are really a some Gamer if u think about buyin' a keyboard specially for specified game for WA! lol i have never thought of that, but, i could explain my bl in roping games such as roper, or wxw which i hate, but I did well in shopper, and hmm new keyboard may do nice for me.
Dunno if this is late post or not, if it is I'm sorry. But does Logitect G510 Keyboard have that clicking sounds each time you press the keys? The last keyboard (Black Widow) had soo much clicking sound each time I press the space key and it was annoying the crap out of me. A friend of mine, Surgeon said Microsoft keyboard are good so I searched online and couldn't find a good one to get. Does any Microsoft keyboard or any kind of keyboard works?
