lol nope, if you look closely - the core is all wndmode which was made by another guy, i only did small fixes so this wndmode works fine with wwp (otherwise it was unusable)

I never really understood why W:A became the popular one instead of WWP. It'd really make more sense upgrading wwp to the same standard as W:A is now, to be honest.

probably because they are the same game, and wa was way more popular than wwp ever was. sans wormpot ofc.
Deadcode already made Silkworm back in the day, why let it go to waste and move to WWP? It was the better choice to keep working on WA in my opinion.

Andrews forgets a key aspect of what made WWP bad (and understandably so because he was never good at worms)
WWP's lower framerate makes you fall from the rope.
Oh and the gay frontend. Forgot about that. Probably the main reason.

You can now edit the default single player missions with wkFileOverride. They're in the Data/Mission directory, and the mission file (*.wam) format is easy to understand.

Naaah, they've both always been 50, it's the same engine.
What WWP does do differently is it relies on a different timer for polling input (or something like that), resulting in that slightly different feel. But WA at the time used the same, it was in later beta updates that the devs made the switch to this more precise one that we enjoy today. Though you can still switch back to the old behaviour with the timer workaround tweak in the advanced options and the replays obviously stay compatible, proving that it's all still exactly the same as far as in-game actions are concerned.
