You've just read my mind about players! They're the only players so far that have impressed me.
About clans :

Players, not in any specific order:
daina - One of the best all-rounders ever, unlike some great all-rounders, she will play anyone at anytime, she doesn't moan about schemes, the real boss of cfc and she's cute :D
Masta/Nonentity - His roping never ceases to amaze me, he's ridiculously good at Roper, WxW, Big RR and TTRR, my 4 favourite Rope genres.
wormf00d - My favourite BnG player of all time, the only person who was able to beat me more than just a few times at my peak, while being stylish at the same time, a good friend, I miss him...
Jmoberg - Back in like 2000 when Warmers were the best thing to do, Jmoberg was like my idol, his scrolling is probably the reason I got so addicted to Worms Armageddon in the 1st place.
Husk - While not the best at any specific scheme, he's way above average at everything, the widest variety of skill i've ever seen, he's fun as hell to play with and he doesn't givva f**k what anyone thinks.
Clans, not in any specific order:
cfc - Obvious choice here, extremely skilled but don't care about losing and always a good laugh, best clan i've ever been part of :)
TEA / HoS - The rivalry between these 2 clans during the WACL era was legendary! They both dominated more than any clan ever.
CKC - They have been strong since day 1, had their ups and downs but never cease to bring it!
t5x - These guys were just f**king awesome, 5 of the best Ropers of all time, they just destroyed everyone at the time lol.

Players
Mablak - Absolutely the best, no questions asked, a savant at basically every scheme there ever was.
Random - See above. Close to Cody's level, but not quite the vast repertoire and not nearly the roping and intermediate chops of Mablak.
Volrin - More myth than man, played rope at a ridiculous level when most of us could barely shadow. The first true superstar of worms.
Komodo - Dave was one of the better warmer ropers that was kicking around WN in early 2000's, but his utter dominance of a scheme unlike any player in any scheme before or since in BnG is why he makes this list.
Barman - He rounds out the list of superstar all-rounders, his excellent roping paired with excellent BnG ability puts him squarely in this spot.
Clans
HoS - Original GOAT clan, never has there been a clan before or since that had such a concentration of the best players in it.
t5x - Crazy awesome mexicans who destroyed everyone in worms. I remember talking trash to cool and volcom and then getting owned hard.
cFc - Great lineup, good players, prime lales in the mix, need I say more?
CF - The third reich of wormnet, probably the best group of elite players ever assembled, trumping EiF.
NBR - In my opinion, the best group of ropers ever assembled in one place. Some of these guys were just insane, jmoberg, saltyk9, shadymilkman, volrin, wargod, theone, anubis, marco/seb, tenchi, beelz, fearless, oijogja, fudo, the list goes on and on.

6 PO wins in a row, then one bronze (barman doesnt know how to use patsy xD) and then 3 PO wins in a row again and the skill level being most high imo, CF wasnt that active but we beat them in 1 or 2 PO's in that run.

These dudes are serious when it comes to competition! I also admire the passion and organisation skills that both Random00 and SPW have. I wish majority of CF would find that fire to worms more than just when EAC comes around. :)

NBR is the greatest W:A roping clan of all time and he was the best roper in NBR. Though there could be an argument for anyone in NBR depending on taste.

I think i was thinking in more of an all-around type sense. Salty's roping is more insane than basically anyone if you ask me. He's the most entertaining roper I've ever seen for sure, always balls to the wall in any situation. If it was top 5 ropers, k9 is #2. But since he thinks elite is what his roping is and T17 is the developers that made this game, hes not on my all-around list.

in some terms its quite weak indeed
top peak of skill among players is now higher, old records beaten, but the amount of good players is much lower and once most of them in dt, it doesnt require a lot to win few po's, right?

Yeah, DFWU and MASH were erod's clan, I was part in the 2nd incarnation of that. I liked it very much. :) He was my father figure in W:A, at that time I was in my late teens and he was already way into his 20's, he always motivated me to become better.
MASH was the only clan I never left before it died in my active time. Unfortunately MASH died the 2nd time around as well with me being the last member that actively played.

my tierlist is widely based on players whom I think are the most colorful and could play with any schemes. what it means in my book: the best = flexibly pro and decent enough for anything. not just great ropers (without using tools/cheats) but suitable to play intermediate, random funner schemes on wormnet, basically anything. allround+free league+many other out there, different cups, etc
and also the players whom I personally played with and had a hard time vs them :D and there is a few whom I simply checked on TUS quite a few times how they used to be great in many schemes in the past. I could say Rafka is toptier too but only in Intermediate, Hurz as mainly top in Kaos.. which is still great and honorable but in a simple way.

Glad you said husk, hes the best and toughest opponent ive ever played in leagues, mablak was probably better (good at everything), but not active at the same time in league as me. Husk was very good at all schemes. Overall best and classic leaue TUS best are different lists though. I always said if two players played all schemes off tus list, classic and free, husk would win.

Husk, Walrus, SiD... These 3 were killing any scheme they've touched. Lot of memorable moments with them. Even though, last few months/years of Husk's active career, he really seemed to not care about playing anything seriously. But he was still one of the most versatile players in WormNET.
When it comes to roping... Saltyk9 and after him 10 blank spaces.. style and speed - untouchable.
Mablak is the guy we all think about when there's a "best wormer" list.. so no reason for him not to be on my list. 20+ years later still the most feared guy to get matchmaked against in any competitive tournament of any competitive scheme. Even offline no one can touch this dude.. Wp Mab!

It's so bloody challenge to make a top 5 list when there is SO much you can rate players for...
Best overall, best at a specific scheme, best at a bunch of schemes, best statistics, best memories, best fun, etc...
I'm actually going to make a new thread and go into massive detail with a top 10 for so many different things, not so much even just because I'm curious about what people have to say, but because when I know that if I take an hour or so to make a big post thinking about so many different parts of WA history, it's going to bring back so many amazing memories of this game and I really need that right now because I'm really on edge with everything going on.

My opinion was that Rayz is Afina's alias. Should have included Kayz instead of Rayz =P Afina used this name (https://www.tus-wa.com/profile/%60Anastasiya%60/) before, but that was when she just started.

Ah damn, nobody mentioned neither NBR nor sK so far, which means this is just about tus activity and bla bla bla. Neverthless, this still makes sense, considering sK did nothing dispite of good people but at least NBR should be in the list somehow.

NBR are legendary in their own right but they didn't really ever play Leagues much which is what I think most people think of for best clans they think of their achievements in Leagues.
If we're talking top 5 clans based on their roster and how insanely skilled they were, NBR is top 5 for sure, of all time.

FaD 100% alias, I played with him under his old name as well, I'm not gonna lie though, I forget what it was. But FaD wasn't his first name, he played for years before and in ONL.

He just played as a different player before he was FaD, im sure some of the inter people from back then remember, maybe im the only one he told. I just remembered we played a lot with his old nick and new nick when he became FaD. It doesn't matter much now, just brought it up because it was funny that all of Perdunok's selections were smurf accounts before real people lol.

Might be, I met several. Nevertheless, scripting affected most of the clans mentioned also in this topic. In any case, it would not be fair to mark one clan as scapegoat for the sins of the whole community over the time.
