What if I touch checkpoint and then get away from it a bit due to momentum I had? I assume I should stand on checkpoint before flying to the next one, but does that fuel I use for getting in that position counts?

You have to stand on the checkpoint with the jetpack deactivated! So the fuel when deactivating the jetpack counts

It's a good thing I wrote down the times!
You finished 10 checkpoints with one jetpack and their times were as followed: 2, 8, 10, 4, 8, 9, 5, 5, 2 and 11.
5*10 finished checkpoints = 50 points. 2+8+10+4+8+9+5+5+2+11 = 64. 64+50 = 114

edit: ok I see where the problem was =P I didn't count the finishing checkpoint because I thought I messed it up =) so I got 11+5 points from last checkpoint... and that was the difference between the score I thought I had (98) and the score I got

Nah, why not? This isn't a mindblowing challenge about solving and figuring out the moves. It's more about the feel on jetpack, just like the TTRR challenges I use to host.
