Description:
The Long Desired Intermediate Cup

Heya people, it's been a while since the last Intermediate Cup, I thought now is the time for another. Everybody is free to participate regardless of skill level, clan, gender or race. The only requirement is that you are willing to play your games in given time.

Rules and Schemes

- Rules concerning glitches and map choice are same as the ONL rules and the ONL scheme is the only valid scheme.
- Games in the group stage are best of 3, best of 5 during play offs and best of 7 in the final.
- in case there will be people with same amount of points in a (finished) group the won/lost rounds will be considered. Won rounds minus lost rounds equals the difference. The player with the higher difference proceeds. If the difference is the same a tiebreaker will be played.

Deadlines

The deadline for group stage is set for July 17th 23:59 GMT. It is not possible to postpone a game beyond the deadline no matter how important your reason seems to be. Be smart and play your games right away.

Use this forum to arrange your games to enable a smooth monitoring and easier decision making if a walk over has take place.

Okay, I'm back one day earlier than expected.

Hm, Rafka, if you read Dario's posts properly, you'll find out he gave you a hint he won't be available on Saturday.

Managed to get some things done faster today, I am home, hopefully rafka will be online now (sometimes I've found him this late connected). Maybe tomorrow (sunday) I can manage to get home by this time too, but can't be sure.

Rafka, you always do this... if everyone simply waited until they were as fully prepared as possible, no one would ever get a match done. Be more respectful towards your opponent and the rest of us waiting, preparation really doesn't make that much of a difference.

Okay, we are past the deadline and I see that the game hasn't been played.

Reading all posts I understand there were several occasions the match could have been taken place, but didn't because Rafka rejected waiting for his peak form of the week. This makes me think that he totally misunderstood the purpose of the deadline or at least what I think it is for. So let me try to explain: the time before deadline does not consist of a preparation period and playing period. No, the deadline is merly a tool to avoid the extention of a competition beyod the bearable (timewise), additionally it's something to wake a certain sense of urgency in the players to make them play as soon as possible. If one party thinks otherwise then I have to assume it didn't understand the rules. I repeatedly asked to play all games right away and a week is honestly more than enough time to get it done for players active like this.

Long speech short: I'm not breaking my own rules and don't extend the time for 1/4 finals, thus Dario was advanced to semifinal against Mablak. Hope you guys can play within the next few days.

Thats a bull, I just wanted to play some games first, nad 1 day before Dario writes that he cant play lol thats pathetic, but Im not surprise, always mods related to players arent objective from the start gona put trough closer to them players. Always the same pattern, sweet.

deadline is tomorrow so we will play tomorrow

As was pointed out, that's not what a deadline is.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/deadline

A deadline is the last opportunity to get things done. Dario tried to get things earlier and you avoided him. You waited until one particular moment and you expect him to do whatever you like. That's called unreasonable.

In short, I'm with Jakka on this one.

Very nice Kays. You've impressed me! :)
Due to massive misunderstandings: MonkeyIsland refers to an island not a monkey. I would be a monkey, if my name was IslandMonkey meaning a monkey who is or lives on an island. MonkeyIsland is an island which is related to monkeys. Also there's been a legend around saying MonkeyIsland is a game. So please, think of me as an island or a game.

Aye, just tell me when a good time for you is. Most days 20 GMT is fine for me, or around 5-6 GMT. And I'm free every day at the moment, since I quit my job.
