Description:
CTF

The goal of this scheme is to invade the enemys fort and etheir destroy their flag ( Ussually represented by a flag pole, or some vip character) or wipe out the entire enemies team (As in a normal death match game)

Place your worms at the start sign on your'e base. Either kill all your opponent's worms or destroy your opponent's flag. In case a player dies while destroying the opponent's flag, this player will still get the win.

Set 3 worms. All the players in a group will play 1 bo3 game against the other players in the group. Top 2 players will move on to the knockout stage. Play with your'e opponent as you see them online on msn or ag or schedule a time to play the game.

In the first round the games will be played bo3. In the knockout stages the games will be played bo5. In the finales and bronze game the games will be bo7(Bo5/bo7 games are only for the later stages of this tournament. meaning half of the players will only play bo3. If you have a bussy social life you can allways play the bo5/bo7 rounds at diffrent times).

Players are to use the ctf scheme as supplied by this cup, wich is a scheme used on a ctf worms olympics tournament (modified to have inf drills and blow torchs) but you can allso use the luckless ctf scheme submitted by lacoste. If both players agree, as usual for whatever reason you can use any ctf scheme you want =P.

Nail has agreed to judge games that drop, in case someone reports a game by misstake please make a topic here https://www.tus-wa.com/forums/cups-complaints/ and the moderators of this forum(including me for this cup) will fix it.

The players will alternate picking maps for their games from the map pack. In the first round each player will have 1 map pick each, in case after thoose 2 games the game is tied 1-1. The players will etheir agree on the bo3 map or use the one prechoosen for each round. If both players agree a map outside the map pack may be used.

Here is the map pack that is intended to be used for this cup
( http://d1.worms2d.info/CTF-CUP.rar ).

As for the tie breaker maps, If both players can agree on a Tie Breaker map. Then they can pick whatever ctf map they want. Otherwise we will allso have predetermined tie breaker maps for each round.

First stage (Group stage ) Will have WWP forts CTF by DeEmOn ( http://wmdb.org/690 )

Second stage ( Quarter finals) Will have Sonic IceCapZone by ShyGuy ( http://wmdb.org/4197 )

Third stage ( Semi Final ) will have Castle Rock by Squiffel ( http://wmdb.org/4200 )

Final stage(Final and Bronze game) will have SuperMarioWorld by ShyGuy ( http://wmdb.org/4597 )

All the tie breaker maps are allso included in the cup game!

Play fair and have a good time ^^ Hopefully in the future wfw/ctf will be leauge schemes that are taken more seriuosly. Even though most players of this cup don't play ctf often please play to win so the games become more fierce XD ( But don't play dirty !)

In the future it is allso possibel that this tournament will become a youtube video following the group games all the way to the final showdown!

Hey Doubletime, it's Magellan, I wanna join.

Then klick on " sign up

 "
I edited the cup description at DT's request. Unfortunately, this also erased the people that already signed up, so you'll have to do it again.

DT: if there are double reports, you can also remove them.

Ok.

By the way, how are these things normally arranged? When should we start playing, how do we organize games amongst teams, etc? I know that I have to go now, so won't be able to play until tomorrow probably...

Basically, cups are tournaments that aren't played in a single day.
The system divides people into seperate groups, where you have to arrange your own games.
Report the games you win and if you do well enough, you proceed to the next round :)

You can play non-cup CTF, of course while you wait!
Cup signups close basically when the mod feels like it (i.e. nobody signed up for too long a time or if there are enough players to start a decent cup)
