Description:
The republic of Salé or republic of the Bou Regreg
was a micro-state in the 17th century
that encompassed the trio of settlements
on the Bou Regreg river's estuary :
the eponymous town of Salé,
the little Kasbah (of the Udayas),
& the city of Rabat.

Last one sounds familiar?
It's the current capital of Morocco. 


This was supposed to be
a quick, simple, easy, pack-of-3/4 flags,
to soothe myself with...

however I went overboard with that crescent-with-face,
AND with the tri-band, getting an additional burn-out in the process...
heck, I overworked that SaléOrGranVizir so much,
you can see the darn stitching between the yellow & white bars!

What the heck...
would the gents at Team17 have done thusly...?

If Salé was still on the geopolitical atlas,
it would've likely gotten the same treatment
as every other default flag...

it's just modern-day, Ted Kaye-compliant drapes,
of course the devs had greater priorities...

Then again, special flags like 42, Dark, Dropflag, Pirate,
& others in the CD version, did get a special treatment...

of course, the moon-with-face looks
more like a modern, stylized face-moon
than the illustrations on flag tables.
