Reporting late is tolerated if your opponent didn't play (report, to be more precise) any games of the same scheme between the time you played with him and the time you reported. This is to ensure proper rating changes, since those depends on players' ratings, which vary from game to game. This doesn't mean you can report 2 days late though, better stick to the 1 hour limit to avoid complaints
