This is taking way too long.
So here's what we're going to do. We're going to arrange these playoffs.
So far, having the players arrange times hasn't worked, so we're going to have them on saturdays, as more people have their free days then. If you can play your games before the allotted time, then that would be great :)
For clanners, it's not a problem if the separate schemes are played on different days. But if you wish to do this, then propose a time/day for every scheme.

If you think this is too harsh, just consider that some playoffs have been waiting for 6 months and something needs to be done. There's little point in playoffs if they're not getting done.
We'd like things to go smoothly and if possible, to have all playoffs finished when season 16 starts.

Crash and dibz (Season 12 semis I think), I'd like to play between Sunday 14:00 GMT and 22:00 GMT.
For CF: Since CKC has some trouble finding a lineup for Playoffs they should set a date and we can accept this date/time if possible, cause it didnt work the other way around.
For our games against cfc, doH and ps I will post a date/time suggestion soon (need to talk to the other guys first).

DoH, I think we can catch up to play our PO. We don't need a special lineup or anything like that I believe. Just ask us whenever you see us. I guess it's allright with the rest of the crew :).

Well, to be honest I don't really know :(. I've not been playing for the past 2 month, I'm not in france. We did agree in intern that we would play it without trying to get the best team combinaison since it's not how we see tdc.
Still I dunno. But as you can see, we are not active at all. I guess summer break is afecting tdc more than some others clan :).
DoH (or tdc) if you see us just feel free to ask. If in one week nothing is done we'll try to get a shedule together.

I told crash he needs to play random00 on msn. Both were on msn at the time. He told me he was not going to lickarse to arrange the games and random00 could come and talk to him! Nice attitude!
As for CKC vs CF me and random00 have discussed arranging a date and will be more flexible because they are not 100% going to pick rr. We are talking about arranging dates for different schemes etc. Everyone who needs to play is in the european timezone expect me who is -8 gmt. I find out my work schedules every sunday. I never have the same days off or on work. Sometimes i work weekends, sometimes i don't. But seeing as i get my shedule on a sunday. I have a week to suggest a date and time. I'll arrange the day and time on the CF forums and also get my members involved to suggest time and dates (we've already been discussing on private forums) It has been harder for CKC to play these games than it would of been a month ago due to people leaving the clan but that excuse is not good enough. But now we have myself, Husk, albino and almog all active. Its just me causing the delays because of my timezone and obviously i wanna be involved in my own clans final.
As for playing mm.. We wanna play CF first!

I understand you want to play CF before mm, but the problem is that we're stuck with multiple playoffs.
If one playoff is finished by the time the next season starts, we'll still have 5 unfinished playoffs, which means we're still half a year behind.

i find out my new work schedule today. I'll know what days off i get for the following 7 days. Its most likely i'll have tomorrow and tuesday off. (unless of course anyone is awake to play from 5pm + 8 GMT) Ive spoken with Husk and almog. They should be able to play mid week aswell. I'll wake up early in canada aswell around 9am local time. Here is a primilarmy plan for tomorrow or tuesday. Will update you later today.

True, a couple of days won't change much. The problem is that whenever we urge people to play their cup games/playoff games, the usual response is "we'll play in a couple of days" while the actual result is pretty disappointing.
Hence my posts ;)
Anyway! There were a couple of singles playoffs that were never mentioned (Free league and TNL). Haven't set a deadline for those, but I'm interested to know what people feel about these playoffs.

Well, first off, I'd suggest using this thread for arranging playoffs, so that I can actually see what's going on :)
Second off, you're only PMing one person to arrange CLAN playoffs?
I'll send a PM to every member of both clans to report here (but first, RR tourney!)

edit 2: why did you pm beer? DoH has to play CFC (twice) and TdC. Beer is in neither of them. You're not playing against beer for the singles playoffs either.

These are times I can, and will definately make it:
6am GMT - 12pm GMT Monday-Thursday
9pm GMT - 11am GMT Thursday night going into Friday morning
^^ the above for Friday-Saturday, and Saturday-Sunday.
If you need it any those times I am sure I can make it if possible, I can't make it really Thursday night any earlier because I have the BnG Tournaments to do.

Rene, The times I mentioned for Monday-Thursday is the only time I can play cuz working nightshift, but Thursday-Saturday I am flexible, maybe everyone else should be flexible also, at least on a few days, i'd quite happily change my sleep routine to get these games done...

For most of CF it isn't about the sleep routine, but about the working routine. And that can't be changed as easily. :)

Arranging games is not a strong point here, it seems, so here's what we're gonna do. These games are going to be played on set times during the weekend. Saturday is probably the day with most opportunities, since they're free days for most and there's a free day after.
CFC vs CF (season 11) is going to be played next saturday (25th of september) at 19:00 GMT (or 7PM GMT) or earlier
daina vs crash (season 13) is going to be played saturday 2nd of october at 19:00 GMT (or 7PM GMT) or earlier
titahemp vs dibz (season 13) is going to be played saturday 2nd of october at 19:00 GMT (or 7PM GMT) or earlier
l2uckus vs dibz (season 14) is going to be played saturday 9th of october at 19:00 GMT (or 7PM GMT) or earlier

I'd like to point out that this is not a decision I made on my own.
You're free to play your games earlier than the proposed time, of course and we'd prefer if you did. But if you don't, keep this in mind:
- If you don't show at the time and the game wasn't played before, then you/your clan will be kicked out of the playoffs you missed out on.
- If you/your clan misses 2 of these times, you/your clan will be excluded from the next available playoff.
- If a date passes and both players/clans don't appear, then both players/clans are kicked out of that playoff. If this happens in a final, that season is cancelled.
If you or your clan gets kicked out, you can complain, but it will do you no good. These playoffs have been known for a long time and they need to be done. Once a player/clan is kicked out, the decision is final.

So here's my side of the story.. We played all those games, and hearing that we had a draw in the T17, Unique said he won't have time for the last pick because he's gotta work tomorrow (we finished the T17 at around 1:30am German time which means we spent a good 3:30h playing all the picks thus far).
Final pick of cFc, only SPW and I were left on CF's side and we say literally "we can't play a rope scheme now because Unique had to go and sleep already", furthermore "if it's roper we can play it at another time". We then said it's fine if it's anything but Roper. So lalo went ahead and put a selfmade Shopper-Cavern-Maze-RR-ish map. It's not like I didn't believe him, he said they're playing on those maps every time they pick Shopper but you should've seen the map.. They know SPW is not a great roper (hence why we couldn't play a Roper with just the two of us), yet they put such a map. Then I checked for some TUS rule about the playoffs and found this, because Random00 once told me it's not allowed to pick Shopper and WxW in the same set of PO games:
In the Classic League, the first four games must include two rope based schemes (Rope Race, Roper, WxW/Shopper) ...
Mind the "/" between WxW and Shopper.
Anyway, after a while of discussing both SPW and I were kind of pissed off. Then they wanted to let daiNa host a normal Shopper map but after all that arguing SPW was like "god no, i won't play a shopper now when i'm so upset".
On #AG DarkOne and Chicken joined the conversation and, well you know what you guys said.
I'm fine with playing cFc's last pick some other time, I just can't be arsed now after the arguing, just tell us the scheme and a day & time, we'll be there and play it.
And before you guys say "that's bad luck, deadline is deadline", please consider how it was 1:30am for us while it was around 7:30pm for them. People do have lives despite of deadlines. We've shown that we're willing to get the games done, but not like this.

You were willing to stay longer and play Hysteria or Elite had we chosen to play any of these (as shown in the log). The fact that your team lineup wasn't optimal is irrelevant here: so was our lineup. And the fact that we get the last scheme pick is because our clan ended with a higher rating that season, so you have to abide by this rule. You can't force use to not choose Roper.
Guys, I know it sucks. We were all forced to come to this arbitrarily scheduled time. Each of the clans arrived the best we could. We were limited, but we all did our best. We even managed to go through four games. And when it's so close to finally get done with this neverending playoff, you decide that having to play our pick is unfair to your clan? Of course it's unfair, if you think it was even possible you can actually get all our clanmembers in the same channel, the same day, the same hour and get everyone to play their best schemes. But that's not how it is, and that's not how it was arranged. It was not possible. And it sucks, but you have to accept it.
Please have in mind that we were willing to accept it had we been in your shoes.
Finally, my personal opinion, not necessarily my clan's: Winning by walkover is really lame, but I wouldn't like that CF actually got away with it. I wouldn't mind it being cancelled, since it's a hell old season anyway. It's up to the mods.

Unfortunate turn of events :( We didn't expect the playoffs to last that long when these times were decided...
So before we dive into the current problem, we've changed the times for future games to 7PM GMT instead of 8PM GMT and I've edited both posts .
Please keep in mind that I do understand where you're coming from. I've had plenty of tourneys that took very long and those nightly hours isn't the preferred time to finish the game. Especially annoying if lagouts occurred and people had to check everything before accepting anything in the order of handicaps.
That said, it's late here too, so I might seem incoherent (or more incoherent than usual, if you will ;)). I'll reread everything tomorrow after a good night's rest.
But at the moment, here's the bottom line
CF raises a good point about it being late.
CFC raises a good point about this game needing to be played now.
These games have been in the making for over 3 months now and we tried to pick a day/time that would fit most people. Sometimes people have to work during the weekend (Unique), but there are less people working weekends than working on weekdays. This is why we picked saturday; for most it's a free day, followed by another free day.
It took over 3 months to play even the first game of these playoffs and even now, it only happened because people rescheduled especially for these playoffs. Who is to say postponing this last game won't take another 3 months?
We also disussed the lineup with SPW (not sure if you were there the whole time, I don't think you were). If my information is correct, lalo played the BnG for cFc (it hasn't been reported yet), but if you take a look at lalo's BnG rating: https://www.tus-wa.com/leagues/graphs/members/lalo-BnG-all-max/
You'll see it's not his best scheme. I'm certain cFc has better BnGers, but they did not protest.
I'd also like to point out one more thing. It doesn't count towards handling this particular situation (and it shouldn't), but I still feel it ought to be pointed out for future problems regarding time.

If you had played the shopper, you could've been in bed about 15 minutes (maybe more) before your last edit was done :) If it were a T17 that still needed to be played, it would be a whole different ballgame, but shoppers are usually done in 20-30 minutes with a very small chance for a draw.

I'd just say that this stuff is heavy to judge.. I wouldn't like to be in the mods skin right now..
To me it looks like clans needs to agree or disagree with each other about how season 11 will end more than mods should give a final judge about it (don't get me wrong mods)..
I mean, it's gonna end soon anyhow, it's just a matter of dignity level on which it's gonna end. And I'm just glad to see U guys doing this discussion in dignified and civilized way rather than primitive/flame/insult-based way.. +1 for both clans ;p

It was bad luck that prev. schemes took that long time and we were out of ppl. So we would welcome just a date from cfc for the last pick (any pick) to make this finish without any weak defwin.
btw, the example with lalo (bng) isnt rly fair. Just notice, that we had to play without our best allrounder Random00 - and we played the ttrr without yanme, he came about 2 minutes after last rr turn. So both clans had to accept a reduced lineup - just to point it out.

We came into #ag after our failing talk about that last 5th game and he just type "if you not play cfc wins". That was really mad because chicken didnt hear any facts about why we cant / wont play. So please make ur decision after knowing some facts, for next, thank you. It was just looking like "oh, we dont play just vs cfc, we also "play" vs a Mod. At least D1 was more sensible about hearing why this problem was come.
Its over 3 month now, I know, but for that case some more hours doesnt change anything at all. We are able to play it, just send us an date (cfc). A freewalk wouldnt be fair here after seeing both clans are willing to play it and we had some good fights till there.

CF picks BnG - CF wins
So here's my side of the story.. We played all those games, and hearing that we had a draw in the T17, Unique said he won't have time for the last pick because he's gotta work tomorrow (we finished the T17 at around 1:30am German time which means we spent a good 3:30h playing all the picks thus far).
Final pick of cFc, only SPW and I were left on CF's side and we say literally "we can't play a rope scheme now because Unique had to go and sleep already", furthermore "if it's roper we can play it at another time".
Before I read anything else, I just wanna say this, you can't play a roper scheme cuz unique left, yet you picked BnG when I wasn't there with cfc, that's bullshit.
SPW, you are better than Random at BnG, so you can't even think about using that as an excuse for BnG, I am not saying you all do, but you all know how to notch, this knowledge alone even without doing it, is an advantage.
I know it is season 11 playoffs and it'd be "unfair" for me to play them, but, there is no rule to say I can't play them, not that I would have, but I could have, my point is you complain about a roper because you don't have your "best team" on when we were forced to play BnG despite obviously not having our "best team on".
I really don't care who wins, but it would have been nice to just not care about the best squad and just play, have fun, and get it over with, deep down we all know who is best at what anyway, so it doesn't really matter to have the best squad on.
I really disagree with you not accepting roper after picking BnG though, you got to pick a scheme you knew you had a stronger team with so how dare you even think about backing out of the same thing when we try to do it, it's dissapointing...

You guys knew there was a deadline set by us. We told you the playoffs had to be finished that night. Regardless of what members were online. These games have been delayed for three months. Whats to stop the delaying for another 3 months. In response to your points i will explain why i said cfc will get auto win.
Your first point is about the picks being "shopper/wxw" This is simply because when tus first started shopper and wxw were the same rating. Now they are different ratings. The playoff rules have not been updated. This situation came up before when CKC played cfc in playoffs. But it was fine and we realised that they can pick wxw and shop if they want. Aslong as you do not do anymore than 3 rope based schemes its ok. This even came up in log. lalo used CKC as an example. Also you and dark agreed with was a strange rule and did not mind playing shopper.
Your second point was that cfc wanted a cave style map for shopper. cfc always use these types of maps in shopper. cfc was seeded higher than CF. It is their pick and you have to accept that. cfc even gave you some slack by not picking roper. They did not have to agree to play shopper and could of picked roper as it was their final pick. It was CF's fault for not being prepared to play their pick. Yanme could of stayed online prehaps? We said these games had to be finished regardless of line up. Also as mentioned you refusing to play rope games is not fair when lalo went and played bng. Saying rope games are different to bng is just your opinion. Just because lalo is weak in bng does not make it easier if its just throwing nades?
Your third point is that it was late. I agree with was late, that does suck. No one expected a long bng and a draw in T17. But you still needed to play on and what showed me that you did not really care about the time was because it was not late enough for you not to play elite or hysteria if cfc picked that was it? You were prepared to play a default scheme if cfc picked it and there is evidence of that in the logs posted from lalo's host. Because you were prepared to play a default it shows the lateness factor was not really an issue. If it was not late enough to default, then it wasnt late enough to even shop. But then when you saw the map you guys refused to play cfc's pick.
Also we said if you want to play earlier you are more than welcome. cfc was ready to start the playoffs earlier and CF said they would wait untill the time we gave. I understand you were waiting to see if more CF guys came online but even though both clans did not have a full strength squad if you had started earlier you would of finished earlier aswell and the late excuse would not be there.

He didn't. The playoffs needed to be done and chick and I had a chat about what to do. The solution is not perfect, but to be honest, I don't see how else it was supposed to have been done.

Season 15: DoH played 70 games, cFc played 127 games.
Season 16: cFc has played 27 games so far, DoH has played... 0.
At any rate, there are 6 players in DoH, which means that there could've been 4 other players than crash that could play with you. Why didn't they?

If someone beats you, it's luck, or pc problems, if you beat them it's cuz you are king of the world and they are noob.
We only played you tonight because we had to or we would forfeit for something the team has worked hard for, taking a free win is more of a relief meaning we don't have to waste our time playing you or have to put up with your crap for possibly 5 games.
I honestly don't think cfc will play doH again through choice unless it's for Playoffs, I only played the BnG to support my clan and I didn't enjoy it one bit, not even beating you made us happy.
Playoffs are supposed to be a series of high-skilled games, something people would enjoy watching, like I said in the BnG I would rather lose to you guys if you played properly and actually had fun with us instead of talking like you own every wormer ever, I feel worse winning that game because of the way I had to play, but like I said I done it to support my team-mates because I care about the hard work they put into reaching the playoffs, and you should have some respect and at least say GG's and mean it for once instead of spitting on every single person you play regardless of whether you win or lose.
I hope I never come across doH in the Playoffs again.

According to the 1st post here, we played for the season 12, they won gj; but we're not playing for the season 14, they didn't show up and that's not our problem, Crash could tell us he wouldn't be able to play or try to arrange a date before the deadline but he didn't give a damn.

I don't think we should start making exceptions, though. Whether someone or a group of people are fair players or not shouldn't matter when it comes to deadlines. We denied earlier requests of extending the deadline and if we make an exception, then those people will (rightly so!) ask for another chance to play their game and the playoff delays start all over again.
Besides, CKC has more players than just chicken :)

I'm going to copy paste one of my posts because mods and ppl involved in POs might not read the games comments.
Guys I have a little complaint here, at min 18;17 Almog cowed with a critical hit, I asked him if he got a crate before his attack and he said he did. Even though he didn't attack the next turn but got a weapon and pile(a sheep launcher). If you analyze the situation, in one of the last turns Daina zooked herself but if we had gotten that sheep launcher it would be GG for CKC because Daina wouldn't zook she would throw the sheep for sure.
As a matter of fact, Almog never assumed the cow in the public chat, he just said ''there''.
In my eyes that cow costed us the entire game and it's not fair at all :(.

Seems to me there were a couple of turns where Almog could be killed in one turn, so I disagree with you, saying that cow caused your loss. That particular turn also cost them HP btw so their gain out of the cow was minimal.
As for the turn following the cow:

The reason for this is simple: the clan playoffs are almost up to date (only one round from season 15 missing and the first pairing from season 16 has already been played)
The singles playoffs are also almost done.
Dibz has not appeared on 2 dates for playoffs already, so this means he forfeits his remaining playoffs as well. He hasn't been on the site for a little while either.
I'd like to thank you all for playing the games during the days we've set. Considering the rigidity of our proposal, I think we had a pretty high percentage of games that were played.
Now there's also a question of what to do with playoffs from now on. Basically, we stepped in, because the playoff inactivity was getting out of hand and we needed to get back on track. How did you guys experience this? Was it a good thing we stepped in? Were we too aggressive in our approach? Were we not aggressive enough in our approach?
Personally, I think this approach yielded the best results out of the things we've tried, but I wanna know what would best motivate you to step up to the plate and finish playoffs :)
If you do prefer set dates for playoffs, which times would be best suitable when playing someone in your own timezone or when playing someone across the atlantic (and/or beyond).
If you don't like this approach, do you have an alternate suggestion of how to handle this sort of thing in the future?

Each playoffs you should make a bunch of separate threads.. like Season 17 Clan Playoffs, Season 17 Singles Playoffs, etc... there is too much trash in the main section of this board, it needs to be filtered somehow. The dates should be arranged in those respective threads you'd create... tbh, I have seen this thread so many times but I never read it because I thought it was just you yelling at us to get our games done... at least that is my first impression from reading the title... but yeah, I think the only threads this board should have should be threads with the season number followed by the type of league playoff... no more threads about individual complaints about someone not playing their games... put those somewhere else... needs to be organized better

I agree with Shyguy. I also think that it might be useful to set a deadline of 2 weeks where people have the chance to arrange their games.
The ones who were not able to play their games until then, should get a specific date like it was with some of the previous playoffs.
It also could help to have bans for the next playoffs if you dont try to arrange a date AND dont show up at the date that is set by the mods.
Its just important that the time between the end of the season and the playoffs gets shorter. Too many players got inactive after reaching the playoffs which gives too much freewins ;/

You're making it sound like I was being an asshole with these playoffs and I hope I wasn't being one.
Frankly, I don't like that we have to do this sort of thing; playoffs are there for the players (same with cups, really) and this sort of thing shifts the responsibility of getting things done over to the mods rather than the players that are actually involved.
That said, I'll post up some playoff threads

The problem with the playoffs is that people dont care enough about it. So you either need deadlines or a better motivation to arrange dates by yourself. I'd definetly prefer the second choice ;d
And last but not least: PLAYOFFS NEED MORE ATTENTION. I want to go on tus site and directly see who won the last Playoffs in BIG letters and it would be nice to have information about all upcming PO games (in all seasons) and updates when these games are played, so you can watch the replays :)
I mean, if you just measure playing tus games in being succesful, its the greatest thing to win the playoffs. But all you get is some image in your profile a few days after you made it. I think that people would love winning playoffs more when you get a news about it on the forums.

you aren't, I just remember another thread on this board that you made that said like "guys, get these games done!". I just thought this was another type of that because of the way the title of this thread is... "Arrange your games here!" wouldn't have been misleading :p

D1, I think what you done is totally perfect, as a matter of fact I feel it's something that had to be done, also the PM's that were sent out 1-2 days before the deadlines was an excellent reminder thanks for that :)

Well, I'll be going on vacation this weekend, so I'm not going to be 8)
There's still other mods here, though, so they can handle the playoffs just as well.
I've opened up separate threads for the currently open playoffs (I'm sure you've noticed). If I don't see anything happen or people are slowing down the playoffs when I get back, I'll get the whip out of its case again :)
