Issue using D3D9Wnd.
« on: June 30, 2015, 04:06 AM »
After using Ctrl + G to release my cursor out of game, once I go back to the game I can't move up and down. I can move left and right but the aim is not working.

This is because the Ctrl button remains stuck as "held down" to the game. Workaround is to press Ctrl once when you get back to the game, or not use Ctrl+G (Alt+Tab is better anyway)

Alt Tab is not working for me at all. Not sure what I did wrong.
This probably means that Windows is triggering a compatibility layer that prevents Alt+Tab from working (because very old versions of the game would crash upon Alt+Tab usage). A couple of workarounds you can do:
- Use this registry script which will disable the compatibility entry
- Or delete Landgen.exe from the directory of your game (it is no longer needed as of version 3.5, and is part of the check involved in Windows applying the compatibility layer)
Both methods might require running W:A as admin once, or if it didn't work, rebooting the computer, and if that didn't work then renaming the directory of the game.

This was a bug introduced in version D3D9Wnd 0.6.6. It is very annoying. My solution was to scour the internet for the newest version I could find prior to 0.6.6....... which I ended up finding on Internet Archive's Waybackmachine on some Russian website which I had to translate and sign up for to access the download link. Now it works perfectly again on the older version. I am very sorry but I don't have access to this older version anymore to send to you ...
