It's obsolete now, but I checked that grenade blitz and myself discussed in chat.. it happened to be a sitter (didn't move for exactly 0.26 seconds)

Now.. If dibz won this game and had more than 35hp left.. How those hp points would be return to my worm?
Since it was a sitter, only logical thing is for me to get +35 on my worm and he should get -35 on his!?

Would we need to get a screenshot of the map and start the second game on same spots, until dibz takes off rest of my hp (35 minus the last shot he made in the game before a screenshot)?

Thanks.

It's skip and hp, not 35 for both, just 35 to whoever got cowed.  Game is void and replay if it ends on cow, otherwise try and do the best to fix, if that makes sense.  Penalty is the total damage and the skip, not 70 total penalty.  Can extract game maps now which is great, but I don't know how so don't ask me!

  • [DC] It is now possible to save a snapshot of the current map in-game. The map is saved in its current destroyed/augmented state, with the water level set to its precise current level. There are two ways to do this: One is to press Alt+Pause, and the other is to enter /map in the chat panel (synonyms of this command are /mapshot, /snapmap, /savemap, and /getmap).
  • Map snapshots are saved in the User\SavedLevels\Capture folder. In order to facilitate using this folder, it is sorted before all other folders.
  • In order to save the precise water level while keeping the map format backwards-compatible, the water level is written in such a way that in most cases, versions of W:A prior to v3.8 will not be able to preserve the exact water level when opening the file in the Map Editor; however, versions as early as v3.6.28.0 will be able to preserve the exact water level when receiving the map over the network, and when playing back replay files.
  • When saving a snapshot of a map in which indestructible borders are enabled, the exact state of the portion of the borders that is currently underwater will not be preserved if the water level has risen since the game round started, due to the fact that the initial water height preserves the submerged borders, but subsequent rising of water erases the borders.

If I do damage to someone with a sitter.. and in the end win that game.. That opponent surely would want those 30+ hp back, rather than me skipping one turn cause cow. Since we now have ability to recreate the map at any given moment of the match, rules about sitters should change to make it more fair.

Recreating the map should be mandatory, in case of a situation mentioned above.

Only thing that's debatable here is if the guy that throws a sitter nade should get minus pts for it or just skip turn.

They die on the health that they've done damage. That's what it SHOULD be.

Right now though, the rules state that they should attempt to cause the same damage that they inflicted.

However, that's mindboggingly challenging to do, so most people just do the HP thing instead.
