Very nice job MI, i love this map section.
I have a question:
Why not Trick Race scheme in the list ?
I know that TR is not an official scheme but many ppl play and like it, could be cool ;)

Nope, i'm trying to generate two neighborly random trees (the base structure) (max 3 levels of a binary tree), and for every edge of a tree i generate, with a random laws, points that give the control polygon of a 2d curve (like bezier curves or nurbs, or hermite polynomials). The main problem is to find a law that generate that points for every edges in a "good" manner. For "good" i mean for example that u are able to hide when u play.

We can use also the noise function, or fractals, what do u want, all ideas are welcome and can be useful for creating rope maps. The judge will be the result of the map ^^. Btw we are off topic, if u want to work on it i wills end u my msn...

Ye, i created in c++ with libpng, but not the rr generator, i'm working on roper generator, but seems very hard, i'm trying with tree fractals and splines, but it's an hard challenge

It's a nice idea the map database section.
Btw why not add a "map generator" together the database...
for example:

I made a program that fill bmp image with Hospital pattern and generate a png, and u can make big map (great than 1960x696) in .bit style (it's easy). This should be nice in the website (upload a bmp and the website give u the png with less than 112 colours)

or a RR generator should be nice !
or an harder challenge is a roper maps generator ! XD
When u need a new map u go to TUS map generator and make it with a click ! Sound nice ;)

Hi !
I thought that can be nice to host a TTRR challenge but with this style of map:
http://www.ngrclan.altervista.org/sct/mapsct/rrr_maps.html

I called it Random Rope Races because the random shape.
I tested these mapp with many players and they like it ( i hope that they didn't lie me xD).
Btw i'm curious to see the records in these maps (8 maps) then i just ask you for a hosting.

Goodbye ;)
